This patient had a previous rhinoplasty by a general plastic surgeon several years prior. He presented with impressive deformity of the nasal cartilages and collapse of the bridge and tip of the nose. In addition there was severe alar retraction and retraction of the collumella. Revision rhinoplasty was performed to build up the bridge and reposition the tip. The deformed cartilages were straightened and repositioned using specialized surture techniques and cartilage reinforcement grafts. The nostrils were revised to correct the retraction that had occured. The collumella was also grafted to replace the cartilage that had been removed. At 2 months out there is still swelling evident throughout the tip region. This is expected to settle over the next several months and improved tip definition will be realized.
