The procedure was performed with administration of oral xanax prior to the treatment, as well as local anesthesia (no IV or general anesthesia necessary). The total procedure time was under 2 1/2 hours and she was able to return to most normal activities in 10 days.Her results demonstrate a tighter neck and jawline, along with significant opening of her upper eyelids. She stated that after the procedure her eyes actually felt less heavy to her and both felt and looked more awake. Eye makeup application was much easier, and enjoyable, for her afterwards as well.

45+ year old woman treated with Facelift, Chin Implant, Upper Eyelid Surgery, Lower Eye Laser Resurfacing - This woman presented with the concerns of heavy and droopy eyes, along with sagging of her lower face and neck. Examination revealed excessive hooding over her eyes as well as lax and wrinkled skin underneath her eyes. Her lower face aging was in part due to a deficient chin and the natural effects of gravity and age which presented as jowling and a turkey/chicken neck.The plan we decided on was a lower facelift and necklift along with a silicone chin implant to improve her profile and jawbone angles. We also decided on an upper blepharoplasty for her eyes to address the hooding, and fractional CO2 lasering under her eyes for the wrinkled/worn out skin.All treatments were performed in the same sitting under local anesthesia in our office. Oral sedation was given with xanax as no IV or general anesthesia was necessary. Total surgical time to complete all procedures was 3 (three) hours. Most sutures were removed on day 6, and the remainder at day 12. She was able to return to full physical activity 14 days after procedure with minimal limitations.Her results demonstrate significant improvement in her eyes, as she can now see her eyelids and apply makeup. The skin under her eyes is significantly tighter compared to pre-laser comparison. Her neck and jawline are much more defined with improved sharper angles while still keeping a natural appearance.
