The surgeon who did the lift suggested doing lipo to remove a tiny bit of fat along jawline but I'm worried of nerve damage or just that side not looking as good as the other one does now.
I had a lower facelift in 2018 when I was 53 years old - I had great results and would definitely have the procedure done again. However, I have a had a sweet taste in my mouth since the procedure could that be caused by possible nerve damage since there's many facial nerves that control taste, etc? The sweet taste isn't constant it comes and goes. I have visited ENT, dentists and my family DR and was even tested for Pylori.
I got thermitight 17 months ago that left me with some sort of sensory damage.. not the kind that makes anything droop..just sensory and tight and uncomfortable and its 24/7 really bad. The thermi tight made my neck look like a chicken neck and left weird bands and lines and yucky texture.. anyways to make a long story short , I really need a neck lift and lower face Lift now but Im scared Id make the problem worse. Am I nuts for even entertaining the idea? Thanks
Hi! I am 4.5 dos post neck and low face cosmetic surgery. My surgeon who says he is certain of 100% recovery, but can't say when.My upper right lip pulls upward and over and wrinkles strongly and my lower left lip pulls downward. I cant use a straw, I drool when I drink from a glass, I have swelling still( thats normal probably) my speech is impaired,I have difficulty chewing correctly.Do I have cause for concern? If I wait too long before any treatment, can I have more damage? Thank you.
had lower face & necklift, still can't close or blink eye. doc said to come back in 30 days. I am taping eye shut & using drops. I don't see any improvement, it's been over a month. Yes my doc is double board certified so spare me the comments on that. I already know I need to keep drops in eye. My concern is that if it is permanent what can be done instead of waiting months. how do I know the difference between nerve damaged or permanent? I can't wait another 30 days. I want it fixed now.
The tip of my tongue was numb after surgery, causing a lisp. I thought it was from too much anesthesia. It took four hours for me to come out of anesthesia and I was told I fought with the staff. It's been seven months and I still lisp. This is scary since I perform for a living. There is also a knot at the base of my left ear, which the surgeon says is a stitch. There was a large hematoma on my neck on that side after surgery. I'm wondering what could be the cause of my tongue problems?
