I was bitten by a dog many years ago and would now like surgery to correct the asymmetry and define the outline as well as make them bigger without fillers. I have had botox in upper and lower lip region to give lip lift effect a week ago
The plastic surgeon left mine like this. I have no lip on the corner. It's like folded in. I was admitted in the hospital and the surgeon didn't repair it until the next afternoon. My stitches were put in May 11 and taking out the second week in June. The plastic surgeon said he would revise it and make lip thinner? I dont know I'f I want that. Is it fixable? And is it normal for the lip to peel nonstop 5 months later sometimes greenish?
In September, my dog bit my upper lip. I had an amazing plastic surgeon operate on me. But I have completely lost my Cupids bow. On the left side of my upper lip, it's lower and more taught because of pulling the sides together to close the wound and I want to know how to correct it. There's definitely scar tissue inside the upper lip that I have been massaging to help but as the swelling went down the shape did not change. I'm heartbroken.
I suffered a severe dog bite to the middle of my upper lip about 2 weeks ago. I lost part of the Vermillion border and lip. I work in law enforcement so I deal with the public everyday and having a half lip is tough to deal with. Is this something that can be reconstructed? What kind of procedures are available. And if so what is the cost range I'm looking at?
A month ago, a dog bit my upper lip. I had seven stitches. A chunk of my lip is missing so I have a noticeable indent. I was wondering if I will need additional treatment or do you think after a few more months of healing, it will improve on it's own enough to not be as noticeable?
I was bit on my lip by a dog when I was around 5 years old. I was rushed to the doctor and they sowed it up. Over the years, my lips got thicker and fuller but the point after my scar has gotten more uneven with the rest of the upper lip. I can also feel extra lip with my tongue on the uneven side. What I imagine is a surgery that would just pull the even part of my lip up to be even with the rest. Anyway, what can be done?
I was bitten by a dog. I need stitches on my upper lip and nose. While my nose has healed, my lip was more severe. The skin graft was done with the original skin that had fallen off during the attack. The surgeon stitched it back on but some of it didn't hold. Now, my lip is very white (the part where the stitches were)... my problem is that he stretch my lip so much to fit the skin that now, I can only smile to an extent. Will I ever smile as big as I used to??! Help please!!
Im 25 years old, female. Almost a month ago I was bit on the upper lip by a dog and lost a chunk of my lip to the left of my Cupids bow. Since the piece of lip would not be recovered, the plastic surgeon at the ER sewed up the hole, making a vertical line. I know it is too early for intervention, but very clearly my tubercle is slanted and the left side of my upper lip looks flattened. What might be some options for restoring lip symmetry without reducing the other half of my lip?
