I had an FUE hair transplant 2 years ago on the front side which left my donor area over harvested. Now Im experiencing thinning on my crown area. Since they didnt take grafts from the side of my head, can get a transplant on my crown area and is my donor area is enough to cover the crown area?
I had a hair transplant in 2021 . Since about 6 months ago, I've been experiencing strange sensations in my scalp, similar to the feeling when hair is pulled. The symptoms evolved over time, starting with a burning sensation, then itchiness, and finally the hair-pulling feeling described above. This sensation can change, but it is generally a 24/7 feeling, impacting the quality of my life. I am in desperate need of help I visited a dermatologist with no luck
46 year old male. I had a 2,400 graft ARTAS procedure just over two years ago to the frontal hairline and crown. Results are natural looking except for: -thin spot inside widows peak -some slight pitting and red spots on front hair line -crown was never bald, but still looks noticeably thinner than rest of hair Could I benefit from another, hopefully smaller procedure? I have lots of donor hair. The donor area looks completely natural but is it possible to yield grafts from it again?
The doctor is also asking for more money to fix it? I had approx. 3,200 grafts done 2.5 years ago. He did not connect my temples and hairline and the hair he did put there grows straight out. I went for follow up and he told me he would fix it for a ton more money. Wondering if theres anything I can do or if another Dr. can help me. Its ruining my self confidence and the fact hes telling me its not his fault is ridiculous.
Two doctors in Belgium suggested the patchy shaven FUE technique, with 1500 grafts. A UK doctor recommended FUT but said he would need to make a separate incision. He also suggested for me to shave the recipient area (not ideal) if I wanted 1500 grafts, otherwise he could only do 1000. A doctor in Minneapolis suggested 1500 grafts FUT which would not require a separate incision (online consultation however). My dilemma is which technique to go for as there is conflicting responses from doctors?
I had a botched hair transplant 2 years ago. About 1500 grafts were placed at the frontal hairline (only 30% growth). The hairline design is horrible with many rough double-hair pluggy grafts and improper angles. My donor is depleted. A doctor suggested to move the hairline back first to the red marker and eventually create a more realistic hairline with whatever donor I got left on the side. Will FUE leave noticeable scarring when removing these grafts? Any before and after pics?
I took Propecia for 3 years, and 2 years ago I did a FUE hair transplant and kept on taking 1mg of finasteride per day. 5 months ago however, I stopped taking Propecia, and plan to start it again. My question is: After this 5 month gap, will Propecia cause again the initial shedding, and if yes, will this affect the transplanted hair? Thanks so much in advance!
