I've been using hydroquinone 4% and tretinoin 0.1% on my forearms for nearly 2 months to try and fade my sun freckles and they've only minimally lightened. The freckles have been limited to a small patch since childhood but spread after really intense unprotected sunbathing. I now use physical sunscreen like how I use toothpaste - daily. Would IPL/ Fraxel dual be suitable or would the Obagi products be enough but needs more time?
acne scares , freckle and oily skin (with photos) which better Erbium or CO2, Fraxel or Ablative ? my acne scares are minimal show only on sun light but i hate them and i want to minimise or remove the freckles which treatment do you recommend ?
I've just had my test patch for Fraxel dual and the clinician used the 1927 setting. I have a few freckles as a result of sun damage and the Dr is very focused on these. My priority is minimising the size of my pores, however, in addition to improving general skin texture and fine lines. Should I request the 1550 setting in order to manage these? Thank you!
I am trying to decide between fraxel or cutera limelight for browning, freckly skin. I have gone to two derms and one said IPL and one said Fraxel. See pictures attached. I live in S. Florida, so sun exposure might affect the advice given to me. Thank you for your help in this matter!
The doctor gave me 2 options for full face freckle removal: Fraxel Dual, 1 aggressive procedure to fade my freckles 90-99% or, the IPL w/ 3-6 treatments. The assistant only quoted me for Fraxel $1750 w/ Alexandrite now added. This laser wasn't initially discussed. She said he likes to go over freckles w/ the Alexandrite b/c it penetrates deeper, & the Fraxel only targets the surface so I needed both & offered a 1x discount $1200 for the Fraxel to fade 70-80% & Alexandrite is an extra $250.
I've had several Fraxel dual treatments to some areas on my body for hyper pigmentation. I use spf 30 and above sunscreen with mineral ingredients (titanium and zinc oxide) daily and frequently. Can these freckles come back over time? Are my cells permanently damaged?
I am a 29 year old caucasian w/minor sun spots, freckles, and wrinkles. The doctor recommended Affirm CO2 micro ablative skin rejuvenation (cost $2,000), and non ablative Fraxel therapy (3 sessions at $400 each) as a different option.I do not have large sun spots or deep wrinkles, so I am wondering whether this is the best approach and whether I am going to regret doing this so young?
