Dr. Degnan first off is solely based of referrals and doesn’t have the typical flashy website which I really appreciated! I had heard super good things about him from many women in my town so I thought why not see him for a consult even though I wouldn’t be able to have a breast aug until the next year. He was very thorough and spent as much time with me as needed to educate me in what he’s be doing and show me some women who were similar to my frame for reference. He isn’t one of those doctors who pushes you to go big! He really knew exactly what size would be proportionate for my small frame but give me the fullness I wanted. I have always been an a cup but after nursing four children I was left with nothing. I scheduled shortly after I saw him since I felt so good about choosing him. He again was so great about asking me questions at my pre op for final size and explained all the steps of surgery day. We decided on 295cc mod plus xtra profile Mentor implants under the muscle. Surgery was a breeze and recovery was pretty rough the first few weeks pain wise and bouncing back from the anesthesia. (I had never been under before) He called me the night I was home to give me his personal number if I needed him for any reason. I’m so happy with my new boobies and would have done it sooner if I could have! I highly recommend Dr. Degnan! He is such a great surgeon and listens to all my concerns without making me feel silly at all, eased my mind about the little things I noticed and just said to give it more time. He was and is so right. It is crazy how much they continue to change!! Updated on 14 Oct 2021: Have some stretch marks but not sure they’re new or from nursing. They have dropped very well by this time. Four months post op pictures here. Dr. Degnan is awesome, I had a tummy tuck almost 2 years ago and love my results. He is very straight forward. He takes the time to discuss everything with you. He is available at any time, from text or a phone call. His staff are so personal and sweet.

Dr. Kevin Degnan, has such a wonderful bedside manner. He gave me his personal cell phone number so I could have 24 hour access to him if and when I had any questions concerns or panic attacks. The process is very extreme and very painful but I’m very hopeful!! I will continue to post pics and videos Updated on 20 Dec 2019: This was one month after the procedure! You will need to stay out of sight for about 7 days, after that you will need dark glasses to not scare babies! I was contemplating an upper and lower eyelid lift which is really expensive, my Doctor suggested this peel instead, the results are great but the pain was unbearable!

I had a referral from a family friend to see dr degnan. I saw him for my first appointment and he gave me plenty of information, no pressure to do any procedures unless I was sure. 2 years later I decided I was ready and made another appointment to discuss with him. Same thing, he explained every aspect of the procedure and expectations. He even urged me to see other surgeons for second opinions, but I wasn't interested in doing so. Booked my surgery for 6 weeks out (average is 4-8 weeks I believe) with a pre op appointment several days before. Surgery went very well, I recovered very quickly according to his standards and him and I are very happy so far with the results!

I have been dreaming of getting a mommy makeover since my youngest was born, he is now 5. On Thursday I will be going in for my surgury. I am super excited but a little nervous at the same time. I will be getting a full tummy tuck and silicon implants between 300-400cc depending on how they look. I told my DR I want my breast to look natural to my 5'7" frame, 150 lb frame. I still feel like I am still too big to be doing this, when I look at myself, esp the front view I am so unhapppy with my body. Hoping I am able to achieve my desired look. I work out quite a bit, boot camp 3-4 days a week and I run a lot. However cant manage to get my stomach to do anything. Updated on 13 Jan 2017: I made it! I was able to stay the night at the surgury center and I am so thankful I did. There is no way I could have come home. The nurses were amazing. If you get the option to stay over night PLEASE STAY! Dr D ended up putting in silicone 400cc moderate profile implants. He did lipo on my flanks and a tummy tuck, where he also stitched my abdominal muscles 4 inches closer. Even just 1 day post op I can tell I am going to love my new body. Dr D really is a master at what he does. The nurse who was helping me post op told me how meticulous he is, down to not letting anyone assist in stitching up his patients. My surgury was scheduled to be 5 hours and it ended up 6 because he needed to get everything perfect. Just after surgury there was a huge amount of pressure on my chest, like a very heavy elephant was sitting on me. After a few hours I traded that for the feeling of doing 10,000 crunches in my stomach. Fortunately I did not get sick from the anesthesia and was able to eat and drink pretty quickly. I have posted one pic and will take more this afternoon. Getting up is a challenge. I have been able to stand up strainer than I thought I would, and Updated on 19 Jan 2017: I had my post op yesterday and it went great. Dr D. Said I was healing perfect, and that I was a few day ahead of the curve. The pain is not awful, I am mainly taking Tylenol now, but i do take the Oxycoton at night. I really don't like it as it makes me a little loopy and I wake up with a headache. Even with all the swelling I love how things look, my stomach has NEVER been this flat. My drains should come out Monday. The worst part has been pooping and coughing. The first poop was AWFUL. It was everything in me not to cry. Now that things are moving it does not hurt as much. Coughing did bring me to tears, it felt like my abs were on fire. Honestly, I will do anything not to cough. I have posted an update pic, my boobs are sitting super high and are still swollen but they will begin to settle. I am doing breast massages 4x a day. Please don't judge the mess behind me, cleaning has not been high on my list of things to do. Updated on 26 Jan 2017: Today it has been 2 week since my surgery, I had one drain removed on Monday, and am hoping to have the second one removed tomorrow. Dr D seems pleased with my healing and the way my breasts are settling. My right breast is still a bit higher than my left but I am hoping to will start to settle in the next week or so. I plan to ask him about it tomorrow. I am finally able to lay somewhat flat to sleep, but my back is still really sore from the lipo. I also get super swollen at night, but I know it is part of the healing process. I have attached a few pics Updated on 22 Feb 2017: Tomorrow I will be 6 weeks post op, overall I love the results. My stomach has never looked this good! My breasts look better each day, I am still a little worried that my right breast is not settling the same as the left one. The nipple on my right breast is not totally even with my left, this is just my anatomy. The implant is also sitting a bit higher than the left side. Those two things make my right breast look a little off...don't get me wrong, if this was my end result I would still be super happy. However, I am hoping they settle a bit more. My tummy tuck is healing nicely, but it is not a flat as I was hoping. I am crossing my fingers it is still swelling. I have been much more active in the last 2 weeks and have started wearing my binder again to see if it is in fact swelling. I have started running again, 4 slow miles today, but it felt great to get out. I have posted a few update pics Updated on 3 Mar 2017: 7 weeks out, I think /hope I am still swollen. Hi all! Well, I have been stalking this site for sometime now. I am 2 weeks post op and man, it's been a ride! I have no regrets, though :-) My pre-baby status is lean, athletic, runner body. I have endured 2 C-sections over the past 4 years that left me with a baseball sized hernia, major saggy skin and deflated saggy a-cup tata's (was a C prior to children). I have not been happy with my body, but what prompted this surgery was the need to repair the painful hernia. I also had a lot of painful scar tissue from the last C-section, as I ended up with a MRSA infection that contributed to the wonderful mess :-) I figured that if I was going to go through any other surgery, I was going to have my body repaired back to it's previous state (or at least as close as possible!). I am currently 2 weeks post-op and am still fairly swollen. Apparently, the lipo does this. It could be another 8-10 weeks before I see FULL results, but in the end, my sides will be smooth and contoured. Also, I just took my garment off, so some of the rippling is from that! Super happy with my results so far. Updated on 26 Aug 2016: Hey all! Well, still dealing with post op blues, but damn happy with my results so far. Still residual swelling from the flank/bra lipo, but that cd take many weeks. I can't describe the post op blues. You wd think I wd be happy but I had some issues with my bladder post-surgery from the catheter and now I feel like I am anxious all the time. Also, because I have been walking all hunched over, my muscles are tight and I strained my chest muscle last night. Arg! Trying to stay positive! I often feel trapped in someone else's body with a slab of numb skin on my front (and still quite a bit of soreness). The psychology behind all of this is crazy...anyhow, I will continue my best to try to be patient. No turning back. Hehe :) Updated on 5 Oct 2016: Hey all! It feels like it has been years. To think just 9 weeks ago, my post-op living hell began. By week 4, I started to see the light and I can truly say right now that it seems like it all happened looong ago. It is so worth it. Not a single regret (except how a few post-op issues were handled). It's all behind me now :)

I had by augmentation in 2011. Because of the severity of my tubular breast deformity, I was told that I would probably not be able to get a larger implant than 300cc, and that I will most likely need at least 1 more surgery in the future to correct the problem. I was also told that my best case scenario will still never be completely normal looking. My surgeon did not want me to have very high expectations, there's only so much he can do, and the rest was up to how my body will receive the implants. The surgery went very smoothly, he was able to free up the inframammary fold and fit in a 350cc silicone implant through incisions along the underside of my areolas. I was up and walking around almost immediately after the surgery was completed. The pain in the following days was very minimal. It just felt worse than when you do too many push ups and your pecs are sore the next day. I did not need the pain medication. The excercises I had to do once I healed to help the implant drop were more painful, but still not bad at all. My new boobs looked weird for the first 3-4 months, there were times when I would look at them and just cry because I thought that now they were even worse. Around 5-6 months post op the implants were starting to look really good, both my surgeon and I were amazed at my skins elasticity. We did not expect an outcome this good, and still such a short time after the operation. I had some very small stretch marks under the breast. Finally 1 full year post op I go back to my surgeons office to take photos for his portfolio. I could not be happier with his work and he honestly deserves a medal for turning my horrible deformity into some truly beautiful breasts. I've taken up nude modeling, thanks to my new found confidence. They literally paid for themselves lol! The stretch marks dissapeared, and the scars under my areolas are only slightly visible when I point it out and have someone look very closely. They feel absolutely real, people are always so shocked when I tell them they are fake. Half the time they still don't believe me. My only regret is that I had not done this sooner. If you are considering a breast augmentation, especially if you have tubular breasts, Dr.Degnan in walnut creek is the only surgeon you should be consulting with. Simply the best!!

Dr Degnan has offices in Walnut Creek, Ca and Brentwood. He has no website, doesn't advertise at all, he's 100% by referral. Surprisingly affordable with a basic tummy tuck starting at just over 9k. He is a magician of a surgeon. I'm beyond happy with his work. He makes sure the scar is low and easy to hide, he makes an adorable tiny heart shaped belly button. Go see what he can do for you. 925-935-4500. At the consult I was planning on waiting until the winter months when business is slower in my industry, as summer months are the busiest. After speaking to him and hearing his genuine enthusiasm and confidence about what I could expect for results I booked the very soonest appointment they had. I just couldn't wait another day, I've waited long enough and was lucky enough to be in a situation I could move forward with the surgery. I am now just over 3 weeks post op and know I still have a long road ahead of me until I see my final results. The swelling will reduce and the scars will fade over the next 6-12 months. I'm still really sore which I think must not be the case for most according to the other reviews I've read. At the pre op appt the Dr told me to go shopping for a bikini that I like and to wear the bikini bottom the day of surgery so he could be sure to put the scar where it won't be visible. The idea of me in a bikini was a little hard for me to wrap my mind around....but it was Dr's orders :) so shopping I went. The "before" picture is me in the fitting room the "after" pic is 3 weeks post op. I'm excited to start really working out now because I know that all the hard work I put in will actually make a difference. Before no matter how hard I worked out I still had a loose overhang gut. I lost 15 lbs before the surgery and still have about 10 or so to eleminate. Dr Degnan is the best kept secret and feel I need to tell anyone interested in TT about him. He is a wonderful caring Dr that tells you everything to expect, so there are no surprises. He is ALWAYS available to you, you will have his cell# for any concerns or questions while you recover. I live about 45 minutes from his office and there was no issue I've had all my needs met. His receptionist Linda is wonderful as well. 5 star experience! I'm so Grateful to Dr Degnan

360 Cc Like to Upgrade to 550 Cc 5'4" Asian Girl - Walnut Creek, CA

I'm 32 years old, 5'6" & currently weigh 150lbs. I've always been a size 34B... and I've always been ok with being a part of the 'itty bitty [RS bleep] committee'. They were small, but perky! All that changed after I had my son. My weight was approximately 175lbs when I got pregnant.. when I gave birth, I was about 220lbs. Oh, and I breastfed for 6 weeks. I started a weight loss/workout program a few months after my son was born & started dropping weight (putting me at the 150lbs I'm at now). Needless to say, my body has changed A LOT in the past 3 years. While the rest of my body has been transformed in a great way (toned & trim), my poor boobs didn't fare so well :/ Not only are they small, but they have become very deflated! Not even a push-up bra can give me cleavage any more... I have debated for a while now on getting this procedure & I have decided that I am ready to feel like a woman again. It's been a difficult decision because I want to be one of those women that can fully accept the changes that motherhood has made on my body, but I just can't. I've worked so hard to get myself in shape & unfortunately I can't do anything to get my boobs in 'better shape' that doesn't involve surgery. So here I go, setting off on a life-changing journey!! I've gone in for 2 consults & am pretty decided on silicone over saline. The doctor said that since I have very little breast tissue the silicone will feel & look much more natural. I know it will require a great deal of follow-up, but I think it will be worth it for the desired end result. My pre-op appointment will be on Monday 6/18.. I will make the final decision on silicone/saline and on size.. which I'm thinking a large C/small D (whatever that might be in cc's...??). I will update after the appointment!! Updated on 18 Jun 2012: 6/18/12: Went in for my pre-op today! I decided on silicone (Mentor Brand) & am aiming for a full C / small D... the doctor wants me to really think about it & make my final decision the day of my surgery. Which, I cannot believe is in a matter of DAYS!!! Gotta get my prescriptions filled, stock up on some nausea-friendly foods/drinks for surgery day, and get mentally prepared that this is *finally* happening! I am nervous and a little scared about the surgery.. and maybe even a little about this HUGE change that's about to happen. I have to remind myself that it will be a GOOD change. I will report back in a few days!!! Updated on 22 Jun 2012: T-Minus 24 hours until surgery!! I seriously think I am more nervous about the fact that I can't eat or drink ANYTHING after midnight tonight. I am a constant eater!!! I eat a little something every 2-3 hours. This is gonna be rough :/ Hopefully I can sleep in tomorrow morning, but that's very unlikely with a 3-year-old. I'm sure my adrenaline will be pumping & food will be the last thing on my mind... I warned my husband that I might be a terror though ;) I am beyond excited and cannot believe that this is ACTUALLY happening. WOW!! Updated on 23 Jun 2012: Day of surgery!! I am feeling fine this morning, just STARVING! My surgery is at 11:15am (and it's now only 7:30am.. this is gonna be a loooong morning!). I've just gotta get my son packed for a fun filled day with his friend, and then get showered and head off to the surgery center. I just posted some 'before' pics... can't wait to post the 'after'!! I'll check back in tomorrow.. I have a feeling I will be a drugged up mess later today ;) Updated on 23 Jun 2012: It's now about 6pm, about 6 hours post-op. I'm feeling some pressure / pain, but overall I feel good!!! We ended up going 450cc's and they look great (well, as great as they can right now!). The pain wasn't as bad as I though it would be & it's nothing some percocets can't help with. I wasnt as nervous as I thought I would be and felt very comfortable on the surgery table. All in all, it's been a fabulous experience so far. I'll be updating pictures tomorrow after I shower (yup, I'm not wrapped up and I can shower!!!). Thanks for all the kind words, it's meant a lot!! Updated on 25 Jun 2012: Went in for my first post-op appointment & OUCHIE!!! He showed me the "massaging" that needs done in order to prevent the muscle pocket from closing back together. While the technique will work great to help my new boobies to drop & look more soft/natural, the actual process is a tad uncomfortable :/ It requires me (or my husband) to take my hand under my breast & slowly roll it up so that my index finger presses against my ribs.. which pushes the implant almost onto my collar bone!! I have to hold that for 4 seconds, then slowly release, then do the other side. This process is repeated 4 times... 4 times a day! I'm sure I'll get used to it & I know it's for "the greater good", but wowzers, that is an awkward feeling! Besides that, both the doctor & his assistant were highly impressed with how my augmentation looks just 48 hours after surgery. I am loving them now & can't even imagine how much more I'll love them once they relax in :) Updated on 26 Jun 2012: I noticing some sharp pains in my left (and bigger breast). Is this normal? I'm sure it is, but I'm probably noticing it more since I've just reduced my pain meds today since I'm going back to work tomorrow & don't wanna be doped up.. but this is painful!!! I'll be taking my 2 percocets in a bit so I can sleep tonight, but this pain is very annoying to say the least!!! I'm thinking maybe I'm not ready to go back to work for a full 8 hours tomorrow :/ Updated on 28 Jun 2012: Well, I am now 5 days post surgery & things are going well!!! I'm still having some pain in my left breast.. mainly seems to be the nerve endings doing their thing ;) I've been icing & taking my meds to help with the pain. I overdid it today though.. I was feeling great, so I decided to make a trip to Target for a few items. A new bra was one of those items... I just had to find out what size I now was!! I'm a 34D!! WHOA! Never ever thought I would EVER fill out a D bra.. but I do (uploaded a pic of me in my very unsexy, but comfortable new bra). Doing tasks like pushing the cart, opening the fitting room doors (that always stick), and lifting bags proved a bit much. Luckily I was able to work from home & will be relaxing the remainder of today. That's all for me today!! Updated on 2 Jul 2012: I am 9 days post op & overall feeling good. I am still having some pretty major nerve pain in my left breast, which is requiring me to still take pain meds. If it weren't for that nuisance, I'd be pill free by now!! I go back in again today for another post-op appointment to see how the exercises/massages are working out & to learn some new ones. I feel like they have dropped a good amount in the past week... can't wait to see what the next few weeks have in store for me. I'll be posting more pictures soon :) Updated on 9 Jul 2012: 2 weeks post-op: Just got my tape/bandages removed today.. lookin' good! I'm still having some nerve pain in my left breast, but it's been less & less as the days go on. Just keep icing & taking low dosages of pain meds. They are falling well & just have to encourage my left one a little bit with massages/exercises. I'm still VERY happy with my results :) Pictures are posted! Updated on 11 Jul 2012: Updated with "Before & 2 weeks after" pics :) Updated on 25 Jul 2012: 4+ weeks post-op: I am feeling FABULOUS!! I got the go ahead on Monday to resume life as normal (lifting, working out, ect.). The nerve pain is 99% gone (I'll have random pains, but they're not nearly as intense as they were a few weeks ago). They are falling fabulously & the cleavage is amazing :) Even with the pain I've gone through & the 'adjustments' my doctor has had to made post-op (can you say OUCHIE!??!), I would fully do this procedure again!! I'll try to get some newer pictures up soon :) Updated on 7 Mar 2013: WOW, it's been a while since I've updated! I haven't taken any new photos recently, but I can say that with being 6+ months in.. it is still the best decision I've made. I'll be getting some 'afters' done at my one year in June :) Updated on 5 Jun 2013: It's hard to believe that I'm just weeks away from hitting the 1 year mark! I have yet to get properly fitted for a bra, but I am getting that done this week. I have noticed that the bras I bought shortly after my procedure no longer fit right. The straps are too tight!! I will be posting some 'afters' soon. Again, I am beyond happy with my results. So worth the pain & money! Updated on 23 Jun 2013: Today is my 1 year anniversary & I cannot begin to express how satisfied I am with my results!! I look back at my 'before' photos & can't believe that was me! My doctor did a fabulous job on the surgery and on the follow up. My advice to anyone considering getting this surgery is to not bargain shop for your boobs. It is a lifetime investment - choose wisely!
