I have been a patient of Dr Scurry's for several years now. He was with a local ENT facility, I was referred to him for breathing issues. He ended up doing a Septoplasty for to breathe better and I had him to do Rhinoplasty at the same time. He has left the ENT field and strictly does plastic surgery with his own practice. He comes highly recommended by myself and others. I still go to him for Dysport/Botox a couple of times per year. He's very attentive and takes the time to hear your concerns.
I made mistake of reading the "fine print" in one of the first ads for this treatment. So, while I disliked my furrowed brow (who wants to look "scrunched" all the time?!?!), I was scared to get treated. So glad a friend encouraged me ... better results than I had hoped for! Wish I had done this years ago!
As you will hear from most plastic surgeons, it is almost always a good idea to wait a full 1 year after rhinoplasty before considering any touch-up or revision procedures. I think there is still a very good chance that the symmetry of this area of your nose will improve in the next 5-6 months. If there remains such dimpling of the infra-tip after one year, it could be possible to inject a minimal amount of filler in this small asymmetry. Good question!
I think it is best to 'reduce the wrinkle' with Botox before 'filling the crease' with filler. A great example occurs at the glabella which is the area of our forehead between our eyebrows. As physicians we continue to treat the muscles of the glabella with Botox which results in smoothing of the 'number 11's'. In some patients, this crease is so deep that even with Botox there is still a line patients don't like. This is a great line to treat with a product like Restylane. A filler such as Restylane can last in a wrinkle in this area of the face for about 9 months. Lastly, I think that maintaining use of Botox in this area of the face while the Restylane is in place is also a very good idea to maximize the smoothness of the forehead.
