I went into SonoBello to have my procedure done and I was a little nervous because this is a heavy duty surgical approach! I passed Dr. Zingaro in the hall when I was going to change my clothes, he took the time to stop and ask how I was doing, he was very understanding of my apprehension and gave me a hug. I think that was about the most considerate and human thing imaginable! I was totally awake while everything was taking place and Dr. Zingaro asked me repeatedly to inform him if I felt any pain, which I did and he ceased immediately and gave me painkillers. My comfort was a major concern of his and I truly appreciate his awareness of me and how I wasn't just a piece of an assembly line. Thank you so much!!!
I have been considering liposuction for a long time on my outer thighs and hips. I not only wanted great results, but I also wanted to make sure that I could return to work as soon as possible. I had my consultation with Naomi, not only was she kind and empathetic, she was also very funny and lighthearted. I was immediately put at ease, even though at first glance she can be a little intimidating with her glamorous appearance and outgoing personality. My consultation was no pressure and I felt like she and I truly connected. She put together a package that was reasonable and I did not feel "sold". I pre-op'd with Dr. Zingaro and we connected immediately, probably because we are both aries and love music. Dr. Z is kind, funny and made me feel at ease. The procedure was mildly uncomfortable at times, but the great conversation throughout made it much more tolerable. The entire clinical staff was wonderful and took amazing care of me throughout the whole process, including all post ops and my final appointment. I am considering having another area done this winter so that wearing the garment will be easier to disguise. I have been surprised at some of the reviews I have read that offer less than wonderful feedback. I can tell you from my experience that from the moment I stepped into the lobby, the girls at the front desk were amazing, the office managers were always very friendly and helpful. I could not have had a better experience all the way around.
My experience was amazing with Sonno Bello, from my first consultation with Naomi I felt confident that I was in good hands. I'm very pleased with the staff and communication. She was even available for my questions after hours. Great customer service. The level of care they have when it comes to their clients is definitely high. It met and even exceeded all my expectations for these type of procedures. If I have a chance, I might refer some few people here whom I know will be benefited from what they are offering here. Great job as always and I will continue to patronise Sono Bello.
I wanted to write my review because I haven't seen many on here with loose skin before the procedure. 2 years ago I weighed in at 240 pounds. I lost weight rapidly and I've kept it off. I currently weigh 149 and I'm 5'5. I exercise rigorously and eat well but I haven't been able to get over my plateau for about a year now. My procedure is next week and I'm not too nervous... I've had quite a few surgeries in my short 28 years. I've added my pre-op pictures! I'm getting upper and lower abs, waist and hips. The hips are my biggest concern so hopefully I get the results I'm paying for! Wish me luck!!! Updated on 29 Jan 2015: Well I had my procedure today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! I actually fell asleep for most of it only waking up to turn over! The most uncomfortable part was the numbing solution. I looked so bloated like I was 6mo pregnant! They removed 1500ccs of fat/fluid from my body and I'm in the compression wrap so I can't tell what I look like at all so far... But I took a photo of what they had taken out and I'll post that along with this. I was prescribed Percocet and a Zpac (allergic to anmoxicillian). I was checking out some other reviews and feel like they didn't take out as much as I wanted but I still can't tell what I'm going to look like. I get to shower in the morning so I will post pics as soon as I can. Also I was told I can use arnica gel to reduce swelling and bruising so I applied that about 24hrs before the surgery. Crossing my fingers!!! Updated on 30 Jan 2015: I wanted to post my pictures from my natural weight loss to my pre op pictures. Just so people can get an idea on where I started to where I hit my plateau and decided lipo was my best option. I hope this helps people that are in my same situation! Updated on 30 Jan 2015: So I forgot I have a side view as well... The time difference is about 19 months. Then I hit my plateau... Hopefully the lipo gives me that little boost I need! Stay tuned for pictures after my first shower!! So giddy to see what's under all this!!! Updated on 30 Jan 2015: So let me start out with I was in 0 pain last night. I woke up a bit stiff and had some burning pain but nothing I can't handle. I was told I could shower the morning after and remove my dressings so I did. My fiancé is deployed right now and I was deployed right before he left... He wasn't happy with my decision until I wanted to see my body for the first time with him on FaceTime. I looked at myself and bawled my eyes out! I have no more love handles!!! It was a very raw and emotional experience and I couldn't be happier! My stomach is WAY BLOATED and SWOLLEN!! I'm hoping it goes down. I touch it and it feels like a waterbed lol! I can't wait to get back into the gym and kick some ass! Did anyone else have this much swelling and fluid day 1? I hope it goes down! Updated on 31 Jan 2015: I woke up today barely able to move!! I haven't passed any food since before the surgery so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with some of the abdominal pain... I'm trying to stay away from the Percocet unless it's absolutely necessary but man did I need it this morning!! My swelling has gone down a bit and I stopped draining! Posting side by side comparison pics too. I noticed my thighs are swollen... It looks like I have saddle bags but normally I don't! Has anyone had issues with constipation? Any tips on what to eat. Wearing the compression garment plus an abdominal binder... did anyone else wear one of these? If so did your swelling increase when you stopped wearing the binder? Updated on 6 Feb 2015: So I feel lumpy... Still quite tender and numb. Had my 1 week post op today. They said my incisions are healing nicely and I'm about 95% swollen still... I don't think I look too bad but I definitely want to look better. Talked to a girl at Sono bello about Venus freeze treatments for my loose skin on my lower belly so I'll see if I'm going to get that done depending on how I heal in the next couple weeks. She quoted me at 3000 for 12 treatments. Seems like a lot so I'll be shopping around for a better price. Posting before and 1 wk post op pics! Updated on 8 Feb 2015: I'm a little worried about these lumps below my ribs and around my belly button scar... Massaging doesn't seem to be making them dissipate... Any suggestions??? Updated on 12 Feb 2015: So today marks week two... The Dr. Said the initial swelling should be gone... So why am I still the same damn size? I look lumpy and have all these crazy uneven spots! I'm back in the gym lifting and doing some HIIT training... No running or sprints yet but I am back to hitting it hard! My diet isn't perfect I'm human but it's not full of greasy fast food or anything so why do I feel like I've wasted my money on this... When I bend ove my fat sack still hangs! My hips are uneven still and my pants fit the same! What did they take out of me because I can still grab handfuls of fat!!! Am I going to get smaller??? I'm on my stage 2 garment and I also bought another waist cincher to see if that will help! I'm seriously super depressed and kind of regretting this decision! Any advice??? Should I still be this size? Is this swelling??? WTF!!?? Updated on 24 Feb 2015: First of all I want to thank everyone for the kind words and support!! You all have been awesome! I've never been a water drinker so I decided to challenge myself to 100ml a day and boy can you tell a difference in the texture of my skin! I'm posting an up close photo only 5 days apart! I've been able to start running and sprinting again!!! I have a lymphatic massage scheduled for tomorrow and I'm hopeful it'll do what it's supposed to for my body!! Things have been looking up... I just need to be patient! Still wearing my compression garment for about 18 to 20 hours a day! Things are getting better and better! Hopefully I'll be able to feel good in a bikini when my mom comes to visit dor my birthday at the end of March! Keep you posted!!! Updated on 16 Mar 2015: Haven't really been able to see much difference... But I'm still hopeful. I also see and feel this ridge above the bellybutton Yall have been talking about... Also some skin issues are still going on. We shall see how this turns out Updated on 25 Jun 2015: Sorry it's been so long since I've written anything... I am not as happy with my results as I thought I would be... But here's some progress photos.
I had the procedure done on the 7 June 2013. This has been a long time coming. I'm 36 yo 67 inches 174 lbs, I have three children all natural births and haven't been able to lose the baby fat in lower abs and flanks. I decided to do the upper and lower abs, waist hips and flanks. Im going to post pictures after my one week check up:) Updated on 10 Jun 2013: When most of the pain meds wore out and My husband got me up and moving he told me that I shouldn't have been allowed to have my phone, I was sending him some Crazy text messages after the procedure! Hahaha. I slept most of Saturday and Sunday, I was able to take short walks throughout the day. I started to feel ill Sunday afternoon and started vomiting. I later realized i took my meds without eating anything... I thought I caught it in time and took some bites of a sandwich ....nope! Monday i was back to work. I stoped by the gym and walked on an 4.0 incline at 3.0 mph for 20 minutes. I actually worked up a sweat ( i usually run 5 miles a day and do the elliptical for 40 minutes) so I'm happy to be upright. Since I wear a uniform to work there really is no guess work on what to wear. Its materiaI is thick making my day hot and uncomfortable. I found when touching my belly, parts were numb and hard - like my belly had a stroke. I tryed to massage my sides throughout the day without making it look obvious there was something wrong with me. I am also experiencing itching on my sides and back. I didn't read anything in my aftercare on that. I would recommend to everyone to take a week off from work. As the aftercare paperwork stated abou the bruising migrating south... Well it's totally true. Looking at my nether regions, it would seem that was the area that was worked on. In general, the bruising and swelling is steadily going dow I need to call the office and get my before pictures so I can post today's photo in comparison. I Updated on 14 Jun 2013: I it's found out they can't email before and after photos (HIPA) supper bummed they didn't tell me to bring one during any of the appointments. I do have 2 photos attached 3 days post! I will post more tomorrow. Notice the dangly tummy In the front.... Well now I'm swollen and the bruising has gone from purple to yellow so I'm healing nicely. Updated on 14 Jun 2013: I was told I could eat the morning of, small meal like yogurt and toast. When I arrived, I was taken back and told o change into the garments they call bra and underwear. The nurse came in and gave me my two zanex, took my BP and called the DR in to draw on my areas. I'm feeling pretty good and don't remember walking to the surgery room. I'm laying down and felt a pinch in my left arm and the nurse said it was Demerol and phenergan (sp) for nausea. Mostly I heard noises, snipping and humming, I felt very little through out the whole thing. I don't even remember getting wheeled out to the car. That night when I finally woke up to use the bathroom, I swung my legs over and saw blood an fluid running down my leg and on the carpet. My husband moved me quickly to the toilet to do my business. When I stood up, the same fluid surround the base of the toilet. The husband cleaned it all up, what an awesom man. I changed my pads that covered my incisions and put on sweat pants... Hoping nothing would seep through. Suggestions: buy poise pads for your incision areas. Put a trail of towels from the bed to the bathroom. Keep a bottle of water next to the bed. Buy another compression garment, one to wash, one to wear. Thank yourself for buying the hubs a morcycle, he deserves it! I don't know what others do when they have plastic surgery (I'm putting this in same category), but i don't talk about it with anyone. There are two people Who know that I did this and it's my hubs and a really awesome friends you had something simuliar done. She too told no one. People at work think I had a female surgery, my family is far enough away that I don't have to explain my pain. It's personal an I did it for me, no one else! Updated on 15 Jun 2013: Posting 8 days post op. I'm swollen and uncomfortable. I need to get to the gym for some light cardio. These photos look awefully like my Pre-op photo, I hope the swelling goes down significantly because right now I'm hugly disappointed with the result! Updated on 17 Jun 2013: I cropped the photos in so you all can have better look. Updated on 17 Jun 2013: SO Today didn't take any meds, I'm feeling pretty good. I'm thinking Im going to have twitches and soreness for awhile but very happy that I'm feeling better. I was thinking about Sono Bello not being able to give me photos electronically. As much advertising this company does you would think their clients would at the very least get a CD. It would be free publicity! I would expect them to anticipate their clients to ask for photos and not wait for the question to be asked. What I got was black and white on regular paper, I can't see distinction between the before photos and the 1 week photos. I guess I was expecting to be treated better, after all the money I plunked down! My rant over with. Updated on 18 Jun 2013: My plan was to post every week, I had not intended to turn this into a blog about my experience. As the title says 'rough day'. I was cramping all day, the tissue under the of my abdominal area got harder to the touch, making it difficult to move or stretch. Motrin didn't help and I refuse to take anything stronger than that. I continually try to massage and stretch, I try not to sit down during the day because it makes it tougher to get moving again. I hope this passes soon as I'm getting tired of feeling disabled... I was reading on another blog that swimming help, I'm not ready to get into the pool because I'm afraid of the bacteria. I might try this weekend, if it doesn't pass. Updated on 25 Jun 2013: I've been hitting the gym in hope the 'hard' areas will soften up quicker. I've noticed my body is not responding to my work outs like normal, It's taking a lot longer to recover and I'm feeling exhausted by the end of the day... I hate that. My areas are tender to the touch, my flanks are still numb and swollen. I'm wondering what else I can do to speed that along. I still wear the compression garment during the day, it feel good, almost like a security blanket. Updated on 27 Jun 2013: I uped my workout by using dumbells for side bends and squat, low weight because I'm still stiff and sore and sensitive. While doing side bends I felt a tug and a warm sensation in my side. I massaged it a bit and notice the hard spot that was there previously and diminished drastically. I'm feeling so much better today. On another note, I've noticed some puckering just above my naval. It's really not attractive so I will keep an eye on it. Updated on 27 Jun 2013: Updated on 6 Jul 2013: Is this norma?? I'm still really tender to the touch in all my areas, the hubs has to be careful when he touches me and plays with me. I'm really frustrated because we play rough and chase one an another around:( I'm still looking for results, I just don't see it! Updated on 17 Jul 2013: Updated on 17 Jul 2013: The nurse. I bought a stage 2 compression garment, I feel a difference. I was wearing the stage 1's anyway and I thought why not try it, it's like a hug all day:) its zipper less and a lot more comfortable to wear all day. Starting to see changes, I'm still waiting for that big WOW moment. Still tender to the touch and the numbness is still there. Updated on 1 Aug 2013: Updated on 14 Aug 2013: Updated on 14 Aug 2013:
I am 39 years young. I have always held onto fat in my tummy, hip & flank area. I exercise regularly but over the last year have been through alot. A couple deaths in the family, change in work, addition of a third child and taking a new medication added up in pounds. I was 5'4" and 150 pounds prior to procedure. I decided it was time for a change! On July 12, 2012 I had Smart Lipo done to my upper/lower abs, hips, waist and inner thighs. I did not take any pain meds during the procedure... I wanted to be fully awake. It was tolerable. At times, when the doctor was working close to my belly button, I felt pain...but it was short lived. After the procedure, I had moderate drainage from a couple sites... and not any from others. The support garment given to me had a zipper running up the front. My biggest area of discomfort was sitting down, because the zipper folded inward and really hurt. I took only ibuprophen for pain relief. I have 3 small children and needed to be up and moving the next day. No down time for this Momma! I had pretty significant bruising and swelling...and I was taking Arnica Montana, as recommended by my doctor. I began walking daily on the treadmill on day 3 post. I went back to regular workouts at the gym on week 4. I am 8 weeks post procedure now and I still have some swelling and mild tenderness when pushing on my abdomen. I recommend taking pictures as you heal. I feel discouraged some days, but then I look back at my before pictures and can see the changes. I am working hard with diet and exercise to be the best me I can be. I am down 7 pounds, but it is really the shape change that excites me the most! Updated on 6 Oct 2012: It has been 12 weeks so far and overall, I am very happy with my results! I do wish my lower abs were a little flatter.... but I am working out hard and determined to get rid of all the belly fat! I see my doctor this Tues for a follow up. I am posting pics from today, and they are side by side with pre procedure pics. This helps me to see the improvement when I am having a tough moment. Updated on 27 Oct 2012: 15 weeks... still not happy with my tummy... side view... but I know I can make the necessary changes through diet & exercise from here! Excited.... and very happy that I went ahead with this! Updated on 2 Apr 2013: I am at almost 9 months post. I had thought about having a touch up to my lower abs but have decided to stick with working out (strength training and cardio 5-6 days a week) and clean eating to get to my final desired goals. I have noticed that really bumping up my strength training is really helping me the most right now! I am very happy that I had this procedure done last summer and look forward to wearing a swimsuit confidently this summer....for probably the first time in my life. :) Updated on 10 Oct 2014: Still happy with results. 22 pounds lost as of today with a mostly Paleo diet and exercise.
So I have been reading reviews and looking at results with Smart Lipo since January 2012. I have 3 more days before my procedure, so I feel it is time for my post. I looked into Smart Lipo because I hold all of my weight in my abdomen and I have to starve myself to lose 30 pounds to see any significant difference in my body when losing weight. At 5'8" my lowest weight has been 160 pounds back in 2010. That was maintaned by walking 15-20 miles a week and eating no more than 20 grams of fat daily- should have known it was unobtainable forever. I was a lot happier with myself at that time, but still had the dreaded tummy and muffin top. I have great legs so my problem is that I will find the perfect pair of hugging jeans, to only look up and see a big mushroom. Or, it can be vice versa, and I can find something to fit my waist, but then I will have baggy butt. I work in the medical field and I switched departments in mid 2011, going from an hour of lunch walking and being able to eat my sandwich at my desk, to a 30 minute lunch where I only have that measly 30 minutes to decide if I walk or eat. I must mention that we get lunch catered to us a few times a week via drug reps which doesnt help either. So, you can see where this is going...I couldn't keep up no matter how much I try and I am currently weighting in at 200 pounds even. I am extremely self concious at this weight and I hate having to go out anywhere. Don't get me wrong, coming from a person who has had ups and downs with her weight since I can remember (my sister was the skinny one), I have weighed in as heavy as 265 pounds. I have kept off 65 pounds for 6 years. When I think about that, I feel that things could always be worse but, I am going to be 30 years old this year and its time to be happy with myself inside and outside!!!! I am having Upper Abs, Lower Abs, Waist, Lovehandles, and Hips done on May 31st 2012. My initial consultation was back on March 10th. I felt the sales lady was a little pushy or blunt, but hey guess what, she is doing her job, and if you are up on your game it doesn't matter what they really say to you because at the end of the day its your decision. I could care less if I ever see her again I just care about how certified my doctor is! So I planned for my procedure that day on the basis I knew I could get a few days off, and I had a little extra income to pay my balance off. I financed $5500 and the $2000 balance had to be paid by 2 weeks prior to the procedure. My payments are only $130 a month. I met with my doctor a few weeks ago and I adore him. He has a great bedside manner, and had the procedure done himself 7 months prior- love it! He told me everything I should expect, and we talked about keeping my sugars up on the day of the Op because I dont want to be nauseas. I took my pre-op pics and talked with the nurse. The nurse tried to get me to buy Arnica through them and they wanted $26.98 at the clinic. You can buy the same Arnica 12c from Amazon 80 sublingual pellets for $8.00. I also bought 500mg Bromelain. I have been taking both since this past Saturday and drinking 1-2 liters of water a day. I went to the Goodweill and purchased cheap cheap clothes that I could stain and not worry about, and I will be using some ugly old scrubs as well. I have big huge plastic garbage bags (the good thick ones) to lay down in our truck and on my bed for the drainage. I have medical tape, bandages, incontinence pads (without the lines), and Bacitracin ointment ready to go. I bought Dial anti bacterial soap to wash with the night before and morning of the op. I will have ready from the store for my recovery, Gatorade, fresh lemons, yogurt, and light protein drinks. My friend who is an MA will be at my side when I get home to help me clean up. I have my antibiotics and pain meds filled from the pharmacy as well. I feel like I have been waiting for this forever. I will post after. Updated on 30 May 2012: So it is the day before my procedure. I will pre-med at 1pm, with the Op starting at 2pm. I have been drinking 1-2 liters of water a day and avoiding salt for the past week. I drank 80 oz. yesterday, and 100 oz. of water today. I am ready to go....hope I can sleep tonight. Updated on 1 Jun 2012: So I had my procedure yesterday, and for the most part it went well. I will warn you...it was painful! And this is coming from a person with very high pain tolerance, piercings, and a lot of tattoo work. I take anti-anxiety meds which my Dr. told me has some kind of reversing effect on the lidocaine numbing your body, and they can only put in so much at one time. Also, I am kind of opiate resistant just like my father, so at the beginning of my procedure it was hell. The numbing part sucked, for the most part that didnt hurt that bad until he got up in my upper abdomen and by my ribs...that hurt pretty bad. When he started with the laser there were certain areas that hurt really bad and we had to keep re-injecting lidocaine in certain areas. After multiple lidocaine injections, and more demerol, we were able to move forward. There were areas that hurt more than others, which felt like a burning or stinging feeling. My tummy was already getting sore when my Dr. started on my flanks and hips I think because I was a little resistant to the pain meds and numbing solution. However, I made it through, my Dr. said I did a great job. The nurse wrapped me in bandaging, my stage 1 compression garment, and an abdominal binder. The pain meds and drinking a lot of fluids have helped very much. It hurts to move around, just like a soreness feeling. I sleep every 3-4 hours and then I wake up because my back starts to hurt from laying on it. Even though I can't see myself through the wrap and garments, I can see that I have no more love handles and a great shape. My dr. told me during the procedure I was going to have dramatic results. I didn't get nauseas because I had a light protein drink, water, and a light yogurt right before I went in to get my pre-meds with the nurse. By the way, the garment is not uncomfortable at all, and it buttons at the crotch so its easier to go to the bathroom. I have had minimal drainage leakage, but I won't be taking off my bandages until later this morning. The nurse and Dr. said it would be easier that way. I will post pics as soon as I can. Updated on 1 Jun 2012: So I didn't mention earlier that my Dr. removed 4,500cc of fat!! Lovehandles are non existent, and tummy looks ok. I am swollen and still have to wear the abdominal binder for the rest of the day. Took my first shower and I didn't have any problems with dizziness because I have had small meals and I have been drinking lots of fluids. Taking the bandages off hurt like hell because of the tape. I am going to change my review to worth it just because my flanks look 100 times better alone. Updated on 3 Jun 2012: So I finally slept comfortably through the night. I think it was because I finally got to take the abdominal binder off and just wear the compression garment. Today I feel the best I have in the past few days. Drinking a lot of water and staying on top of my meds along with arnica has really helped. I have not had to take any pain meds yet today. I have been walking around the block at least once since the next day after the procedure. It hurts when you put your tennis shoes on and walk outside, but not a painful hurt, just a muscle soreness. Today will be my first walk without the binder and just the compression garment on. I must state that I am very happy with my results thus far. I will post pics once the little bit of bruising I have goes away and the swelling has gone down. Updated on 4 Jun 2012: So today was my first day back at work and I didn't have too many issues. I felt fine all day, minus a little bit of soreness still, and I only had to take a 600mg Ibuprofen. I am a medical assistant and for the most part I am at my desk so maybe thats why. The only thing I had to ask for help with is filing heavy charts in medical records at the bottom of the filing cabinet because it hurts to bend down all the way and I didn't want to file back so many charts and bend over constantly. I am feeling really good about my results. It is so nice to wear pants on my hips instead of over my gut. I kept thinking my pants were going to fall off because they are actually on my hips now! All of my co-workers noticed that my lovehandles and tummy were gone instantly and that made me feel good. Last night, I tried on some of my "old" clothes, I mean old because they are size 8's and medium/large tops that I used to fit into a couple years ago but have not been able to wear in over a year. The tops all fit, can't really try on the jeans because I know they will be tight and I am too sore to even try, plus they say not to wear anything tight for at least a month. When I put on a scrub top today that was more form fitting, it looked awesome! It fit like a glove and was even a little loose! So happy not to see big lovehandles and rolls coming out the sides and over my pants. If I continue to shrink over the next 6 months I will be even more thrilled. So far, I still having a little numbing in my tummy and my flanks, but no bumps yet to massage. I also don't see any uneveness anywhere the work was done. I owe that to my doctor who has been in the game for 25 years, has his own practice on the side, and has performed thousands of smartlipo procedures. Thank you Dr. Zingaro! First week f/u appt. is on 6/7/12. Will check back with an update and hopefully can post pictures soon. Updated on 9 Jun 2012: So this past Thursday was my one week post op apointment. I only met with the nurse, not my Dr. She looked at my incisions to make sure there is no infection and they are healing well. Everything checked out ok. I am still experiencing light bruising, which I am still taking my arnica for. She also stated that I am still very swollen, even with the walking, drinking lots of water, and taking Bromelain. She said swelling can last for up to 6-8 weeks, but will start to taper off starting in the second week. I am anxious for more time to pass just to see my final results, but I know that is a ways away. She stated that at 3 months I will only be at 80% of my results. We took some more pictures, and she said at my 3 month appt. we will take even more and do comparisons. Checking to see if any touch ups are needed will be at my 6 month appt. after I am supposed to be fully healed. I am hoping for even better results, but I constantly remind myself how much better I look than before when I start feeling discouraged. I ordered my second stage garment online Thursday night from makemeheal.com because their prices were better than the site Sono Bello offered. I hope it gets shipped fast because tomorrow will technically be my 10th day in the stage 1 garment and I need to get into my stage 2. I did notice that when I was measuring for my second stage garment my huge waist had gone down about 4 inches. This morning, it is down another inch. Still a ways to go, but I feel more empowered to get into an exercise routine again with the results that I have. Oh, the nurse also said it is very important to stick to a healthy diet, especially for the first 3 months because your left over fat cells will be trying to work even harder to re attach to any new fat, so watch it! Hope to post a pic soon.....Updated on 11 Jun 2012:Swelling is rearing its ugly head right now. I hope it goes away soon. I have been walking at least a mile a day. Seems like I am more sore and swollen at the end of the day. I won't let myself get discouraged from the swelling, as I know this is a normal healing process, and almost everyone has experienced it.Updated on 13 Jun 2012:So it is day 13. I finally got on the scale this morning, and even with the swelling I am down 6 pounds in a week. That makes me happy, but I hope my measurements drop once the swelling starts to taper? I wanted this procedure to lose inches and wear clothes that I haven't been able to, so I really hope my Dr. was right and I just have to be patient. I feel a little better everyday, but definitely swollen. I am still in my stage 1 compression garment 24-7 until my stage 2 arrives, which should be by tomorrow afternoon.Updated on 14 Jun 2012:I'm starting to get happy again...My Dr. has been right on, and my swelling is starting to taper. Two co-workers today said how much smaller I looked, and one said she's getting jealous lol. The bruising is almost all faded. I received my stage 2 compression garment in the mail today. I have it on right now, its comfortable, and it fits like a glove. It feels better than the stage 1 garment because it's tighter. I ordered the Marena ComfortWear compression and support garment. It has a brief cut and stops right under your bra line so now I can wear tank tops without a big stage 1 garment arms showing. This one has bra straps. I still have been drinking a lot of water during the day, watching what I eat, but I haven't been for a walk in a few days. I think I will post pics soon....Updated on 12 Jul 2012:So it has been 42 days since my surgery and I am loving my results. I still have a little bit of swelling in my hips that is going away slowly but surely. I have maintained my eating habits and I have picked up my pace in exercise.
Sooo, I decided about a year ago that no matter how much working out I do, I will never be able to get rid of the fat in certain areas on my body. I started researching different ideas on how to eliminate these areas so I wouldn't have to worry about them again! This April, as a birthday gift to myself, I decided to book my appointment for laser lipo. I know, I know...most of you are shaking your heads in disappointment, but ya know what..."Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today" :-) For years, I have "always wanted" to do this or that, this year...I AM DOING IT ALL! I want to look back on life at the end and say I have no bucket list :-) So I go in tomorrow morning for my laser lipo procedure. I am really kind of nervous, excited, anxious, all in one! Gosh, I hope it doesn't hurt too much! I am planning on taking my before pictures and after pictures as I recover. I think more than wanting my body back, I want my self confidence back. I'm hoping this will bring back the side of Alison that I have been missing the last few years. So friends and family, keep me in your thoughts for tomorrow :-) And I can't wait to show all of you my new self soon! **Thank you to my beautiful friend Adrian Ruiz, who showed me that you can really live life to the fullest (I should have done this a long time ago!)! Update 5/12/11 So it's 7:30am and I am wide awake! What better time than to update you all on my procedure. I walked in yesterday morning with no fears...no really, I think I was too tired to get nervous. The nurse took me back and gave me some funky undies and bra to put on so that she could take the "before" pictures. She was very nice and kept me relaxed. At that time my doctor comes in and discusses the areas we are working on and gets to draw my "war paint" all over my body :-) This is the point where they give me the medication. I got to take a vicodine, ativan, keflex, and some for nausea. They bring me back to the surgery room and lay me out on the table. This was nothing like the youtube videos I had watched in my research. Lights were on, music was one, and we were all chatting it up! First, he numbed my tummy and my legs (he wanted to do my chin last), then he puts in the numbing solution. This is the part that I think is the most uncomfortable...not painful, just weird feeling. My tummy felt like someone was pressing a board on my stomach making it very heavy. From that point on, he preceded with the lipo and laser. The lipo part was kinda of relaxing (I know that sounds strange). The tool vibrates and since I am numb that's all I really feel. There were little areas that stung when he would go over them, but the second I showed that I was uncomfortable, my doctor put more numbing solution in and I was good to go! It was really kind of neat to see how much fat he was taking out! And then he ending with my chin which was just as weird feeling since the tool would vibrate on my chin bone. And then in was over!! Yeah, that quick (1 1/2 hr)! My nurse got me up and put maxi pads where the incisions where and put my compression garments on (like one full body spandex suit) and my head garment on. I walked out and mom was there waiting to take me home. Still didn’t feel sore at all. Got home and had both mom and dad there with potato soup and starbucks :-) I continue to take the pain and antibiotics meds they prescribed for me. Last night, I woke up maybe twice with that wide awake feeling (which could be all the meds wearing off). Now that I am fully awake, I still feel quite good. I am a little sore, but nothing like I thought I would be! I have been able to take my head garment off and replace gauze and it looks so good so far (of course I am swollen a little)! We will see what kind of pics I can get when I attempt to replace all my other pads...so for the first update, NOT BAD!! :-) Update 5/14/11 My first day back to work (Though I could have got to work the first day into this)! Yay! If you know me, you know I cant stand staying home all day! Still doing good! Feeling much more sore today than any other (especially around my belly button). Just like Susanne said, "like I had the workout of my life". And I itch like crazy around my incisions! Last night was the last day wearing my head strapy thing and my ab binder, which is awesome! I can breath! :-) So now I have about one more week with my spandex suit on while I sleep. I have to say, even with the swelling, I love the results already! I know its going to be months before I see the finally results, but I am so happy I did this! I can not wait to post some before and after pictures (maybe next week). So, anyone who is reading this and has questions or is thinking about having this procedure done, message me and I will put you in touch with my good friend Susanne! She will take care of ya! Update 5/19/11 So, I went in for my first week appointment. Pretty easy! The nurse asked a few questions about pain levels and then took pictures for my file. The look on my doctors face made my world though! He stopped in and ask how I was feeling. I said "Great!" and got to show my areas. He was so happy with my results and said I wasn't even bruising a lot. I'm the perfect patient! :-) So, now I get to start going back to some of my activities. The nurse told me to just keep the spandex suit on while I work out (not anything crazy yet though). I feel great still. I am still a little sore (I feel like I'm saying that a lot, but it's nothing I would say is painful) and numb in some areas. I have noticed that my tummy looks amazing already (and he says I have until late August before I see all my results). My chin and thighs are still swollen so I don't see too much of a change yet. I'm drinking water like crazy to help with that. Overall, I al SO happy I decided to do this procedure! I'm ready to get in the gym and start making it all look pretty!! ** I am attaching the picture of my tummy since that is my biggest change so far :-)
I have had Botox before but think I may be a convert to Dysport... everyone in the plastic surgeon's office seemed to have already made the switch. It's been nearly 10 days and crowsfeet, brow and forehead are noticably relaxed and smooth - but not like Nicole Kidman or Marcia Cross.Dysport worked much faster than botox. They price it cheaper but you need to use more Dysport so it nets about the same although the nurse said she was using less than suggested because Dysport was being pretty effective.I asked for Dysport after hearing from a girlfriend who raved and raved and saw a promotion and thought I'd give it a try - glad I did. I also had a couple units above the lips that relaxed those lines I hate on the lips.
I had a Lipo procedure on December 16th, 2022, with Dr Edmond A. Zingaro, and my experience with the Sono Bello in San Ramon was incredibly disappointing. Initially, I had watched reviews on YouTube and thought it would be worth giving them a try. However, as soon as I contacted the Sono Bello and was put in touch with a sales representative, things began to take a turn for the worse. The first red flag was when the sales rep provided me with a quote without seeing my photos, which is mandatory as per their terms of business. The second red flag was when she included areas in the quote that did not require any treatment, and when I confronted her, she tried to convince me that it was necessary (happy to share email evidence, with anyone who is interested) eventually she removed this from the quote. The third red flag was when I was told that I did not need a virtual consultation with the doctor, as I had spoken to the sales rep on the phone. Additionally, I was told I would have a consultation with the surgeon after making my first deposit. but after taking the funds I was informed that I would only meet the doctor the day before surgery, after paying the balance that would be non-refundable. The fourth red flag was that I never received any instructions before surgery, including which medications to stop taking, or any blood work or medical records prior to the procedure. I literally had to chase them for this information and eventually I was told. I found this very concerning, as I have had this procedure before and I am aware of the protocols that should be followed. especially where it concerns blood work or medical records. none of this was required. at this point I got scared and I asked for a full refund, I was informed that it was not possible, and I had no choice but to proceed with the surgery (even though I was still with in the grace period) As I had already paid a substantial amount of money, including buying a plane ticket to the US, I felt pressure to go through with it and hoped that things would get better. On attending the clinic, I finally met the doctor, who was very elderly and fragile-looking. He examined me and suggested switching the back area with a different area, as he did not feel comfortable treating my back. there were no other areas to treat, which he should have offered me a refund for that area, knowing full well he didn't have the manpower to do such a laborious job. Lipo is very laborious and judging from his very frail posture, I questioned the nurse after he had left the room on whether he would be able to cope. During the surgery, I was awake, and I could see that there was no technique being applied to sculpt my body. When I asked the doctor if he was even trying to improve my shape, he responded by saying that it was hard to do, as my belly was quite boxy. I was confused, as I thought this was the whole point of this fabulous technique they call trisulpt? also during the procedure to my upper and lower back, the DR poked holes in me and then said he gives up, with an attitude, as it was too hard to get any fat out of that area. After the procedure, I saw that there was no difference in my body shape, apart from the holes that had been poked all over my belly and back. I told the nurse while laying on the bed that I have had the procedure before and you should see a difference immediately, and that I understood that after a few hours any results would disappear as a result of the swelling, but unfortunatley I saw no difference and the canister was evident of this, which was full with 95% numbing liquid used in the procedure and around 5% fat lingering at the bottom of the canister. I was furious and left the clinic, returning three days later to pick up a garment that was supposed to help with recovery. However, they didn't even have a suitable garment in stock waiting for me. even though this was pre ordered and already paid for, either way it didn't really matter to me as my upper, lower back and flanks, were not treated. I only had holes in these areas but no fat removed. Despite numerous requests, the Sono Bello has not shared before and after photos or a picture of the canister showing how much fat was removed, which is unacceptable. if they are confident of their work then why have they kept this from me. I have asked for a full refund, but I have not received any response from the company. It has now been three months, and there is no visible difference in my body shape. I urge anyone considering sono bello and this doctor, to steer clear, as my experience was a complete scam. I am currently disputing the payment with my credit card company, and if the company is unable to provide the photo evidence that I have been requesting for months, I will be refunded.
The photos are not the best but your skin looks good and I think you'd get a good result. You can do this under local anesthesia as an outpatient. Contact Sono Bello. They have experience wit over 85,000 of these procedures.
You should investigate Sono Bello. They have extensive experience with high BMI liposuction. I don't know where you live but they are a nationwide company.
It can absolutely be done under local anesthesia. You should go to Sono Bello. There are several in Texas. They have experience with over 75000 of these procedures done under local so you can expect an excellent result at a reasonable price and only local anesthesia.
While it's a little hard to tell from the photos, it looks like you would really benefit from liposuction of your abdomen, waist, hips, and outer thighs. You should investigate Sono Bello. There are several centers in Texas. They have experience with over 80000 surgeries like this, all done under local anesthesia as outpatient.
You don't need general anesthesia for liposuction. In fact, it's preferable to not have general anesthesia for lipo. Investigate Sono Bello. They have experience with over 85000 liposuction surgeries under local anesthesia on an outpatient basis. There is a center in LA.
