Terrible Experience This Company is a Scam and Dr Needs to Retire.

I had a Lipo procedure on December 16th, 2022, with Dr Edmond A. Zingaro, and my experience with the Sono Bello in San Ramon was incredibly disappointing. Initially, I had watched reviews on YouTube and thought it would be worth giving them a try. However, as soon as I contacted the Sono Bello and was put in touch with a sales representative, things began to take a turn for the worse.

The first red flag was when the sales rep provided me with a quote without seeing my photos, which is mandatory as per their terms of business. The second red flag was when she included areas in the quote that did not require any treatment, and when I confronted her, she tried to convince me that it was necessary (happy to share email evidence, with anyone who is interested) eventually she removed this from the quote. The third red flag was when I was told that I did not need a virtual consultation with the doctor, as I had spoken to the sales rep on the phone. Additionally, I was told I would have a consultation with the surgeon after making my first deposit. but after taking the funds I was informed that I would only meet the doctor the day before surgery, after paying the balance that would be non-refundable.

The fourth red flag was that I never received any instructions before surgery, including which medications to stop taking, or any blood work or medical records prior to the procedure. I literally had to chase them for this information and eventually I was told. I found this very concerning, as I have had this procedure before and I am aware of the protocols that should be followed. especially where it concerns blood work or medical records. none of this was required. at this point I got scared and I asked for a full refund, I was informed that it was not possible, and I had no choice but to proceed with the surgery (even though I was still with in the grace period) As I had already paid a substantial amount of money, including buying a plane ticket to the US, I felt pressure to go through with it and hoped that things would get better.

On attending the clinic, I finally met the doctor, who was very elderly and fragile-looking. He examined me and suggested switching the back area with a different area, as he did not feel comfortable treating my back. there were no other areas to treat, which he should have offered me a refund for that area, knowing full well he didn't have the manpower to do such a laborious job. Lipo is very laborious and judging from his very frail posture, I questioned the nurse after he had left the room on whether he would be able to cope. During the surgery, I was awake, and I could see that there was no technique being applied to sculpt my body. When I asked the doctor if he was even trying to improve my shape, he responded by saying that it was hard to do, as my belly was quite boxy. I was confused, as I thought this was the whole point of this fabulous technique they call trisulpt? also during the procedure to my upper and lower back, the DR poked holes in me and then said he gives up, with an attitude, as it was too hard to get any fat out of that area.

After the procedure, I saw that there was no difference in my body shape, apart from the holes that had been poked all over my belly and back. I told the nurse while laying on the bed that I have had the procedure before and you should see a difference immediately, and that I understood that after a few hours any results would disappear as a result of the swelling, but unfortunatley I saw no difference and the canister was evident of this, which was full with 95% numbing liquid used in the procedure and around 5% fat lingering at the bottom of the canister. I was furious and left the clinic, returning three days later to pick up a garment that was supposed to help with recovery. However, they didn't even have a suitable garment in stock waiting for me. even though this was pre ordered and already paid for, either way it didn't really matter to me as my upper, lower back and flanks, were not treated. I only had holes in these areas but no fat removed.
Despite numerous requests, the Sono Bello has not shared before and after photos or a picture of the canister showing how much fat was removed, which is unacceptable. if they are confident of their work then why have they kept this from me. I have asked for a full refund, but I have not received any response from the company. It has now been three months, and there is no visible difference in my body shape.

I urge anyone considering sono bello and this doctor, to steer clear, as my experience was a complete scam. I am currently disputing the payment with my credit card company, and if the company is unable to provide the photo evidence that I have been requesting for months, I will be refunded.
