I had an abdominal last y in April 2023.Dr Humphries put all my concerns to rest, was very approachable and took time to answer any questions. His staff were all excellent ,would answer all questions I had anytime and gave me reassurance following surgery. The anaesthetist was wonderful and I had full confidence in him,I had no fears going into surgery. The follow up after care was excellent,I was seen promptly. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Humphries,his staff and the surgical site.

Dr Humphreys has always had great bed side manner, a comfortable approach and confident demeanour to him. This gives his patients the trust they need to have for someone who’s going to be doing reconstructive work on them. I’ve been his patient since 2009 and he’s done my 2 breast augmentations. With every surgery and pre/post op appointment he’s been extremely kind, relaxed and caring.

I am a single 31 year old female and have just had my breast reduction completed. I could not be happier with Dr. Humphreys attentiveness and kindness throughout the procedure! From the very beginning with his office, staff, to the consultation, operations team right down to post op, he has been amazing! I am currently at 3 days post op with minimal pain and feeling great! Will be posting pictures soon!

It’s been exactly 15 days since I completed my breast reduction. The last two weeks have been tough. Some days better than others but overall doing great! Will make this a more frequent with updates! Still have some bruising and swelling in both breasts. The steri strips are coming off on their own at this point and my next follow up is in 3 weeks from today. Will post after that. Just added photos of the process thus far.

A hectic year it has been!!

Everything is healing so well! The scarring is minimal, and the swelling is starting to go down! I started my journey at a 36GG/34H, and as the swelling comes down and weight loss is just beginning, I am continuously going down, I am currently sitting at a 36 D/DD which is a fantastic feeling!

All the ridges in my shoulders have now passed, and I have no more divets from bra straps (I never thought I would see the day :)) I will be posting pictures in the next week!

I can’t believe it been over a year!

I feel great and everything that I wanted has been able to come through. Before and after pictures are attached to show the amazing work that Dr.Humphrey did.

The numbness is nearly corrected and I have about 90% feeling back on both breast.

I have recently started working out and have noticed a huge difference in the quality of life. Due to an accident I have 10 day pre op I was bed written for a while but I am back on it and have lost 15 pounds since this picture :)

Dr. Humphreys was recommended to me by a friend. When I booked the consult it turned out he had fixed me up after I broke my nose in 2006. Odd coincidence, but maybe it was a sign. I was very nervous about the consult but is staff was so welcoming and put me at ease. Dr. Humphreys himself had lovely bedside manner and assured me immediately that I had abdominal separation and that I would be unlikely to fix it in the gym or by dieting. I asked if I should do my breasts as well and he said that he felt they were great for my frame and that he would not recommend doing anything to them. I appreciated that he did not try to upsell me and I booked the surgery. Leading up to the surgery his staff politely answered daily annoying email questions from me-I was so nervous! Day of, everything went smoothly and as I write this at 9 DPO I can tell you recovery has been really quite easy. I got my drain out yesterday and I am already so pleased with the results. I would recommend Dr. Humphreys to anyone. I am astounded by my results so far. His staff and facility are lovely, and he is so professional and nice. Most importantly, the results are better than I could have imagined.

I am 36Yrs Old with 2 kids - a 6 year old and a 2 year old. After I had my 2 year old, my breast size never went back to normal even after I stopped breastfeeding! Over time this is beginning to hurt my shoulders and back. Also it makes me hunch over. It's a vicious cycle for me as I joined crossfit to lose weight and get fit (hoping the breast will get smaller) however I am not able to participate in full exercises because of the weight of my breasts. My darling husband tried talking me into a Breast Reduction but I have been too scared.
Finally here I am!!!!
I had a consultation with the plastic surgeon in August 2017 and it went amazing. He is so professional yet so friendly ...I literally felt like I was having a conversation with a friend.
My Surgery date is fixed and I'm a little nervous and have a lot to say ...I tend to ramble away ....I'm trying not to do that right now :)
I will post details of my visit and also keep you all posted on how everything goes.

Yesterday I clocked 36! I didn't want any presents or something special and just wanted to sleep in!!!
As a full time working wife and mom, my day couldn't have gone better! my sweet husband kept the kids occupied and I slept in till noon. I woke up to cake and lots of presents put together by them!!! Later in the evening we went to global fest finale and watched fireworks with friends.
I am so nervous about my upcoming surgery , yesterday was so filled up I didn't have a second to worry about it!

Today I it a call from Rocky View hospital - just to get more information about me and also to verify my mailing address. The lady told me she will be mailing everything I need to know about my upcoming surgery to me. Soooo curious!!!
I'll put up whatever comes, if it may be of help to anyone.

I decided to take a vacation day just before my surgery as I feel I will be too nervous at work. I am already a bag of emotions as it is!

Can't believe I'm doing this -I haven't told my mum and my elder sisters. Don't want them to panic or try to talk me out of it.

I hope It goes successful then it will not be so bad when I eventually tell them. Phew!!!

Today I went to see my Doctor one more time before my procedure. Basically went over the paper work in regards to my Short Term Disability allowance meaning my insurance will pay me 70% of my salary for my time off work. I opted for the maximum healing time which is 6 weeks! I guess I will be needing it.
He also gave a sick note so my husband can also get paid time off work!
I'm so so happy and a little less nervous.
I got my surgical bra and the antiseptic soap to use for the surgery day.
I can't believe I'm going through with this, it feels so surreal ????
A nurse from Rocky View Hospital called me today to review my medical history.
She talked to me about the pre-surgery and post. That was super helpful - you know I feel so ready for this I know exactly where to go to, what to do and who to talk to if the need arises. There so much support from the hospital and also from the Surgeon's office!
Phew! It's been a long day!

So my doctor told me I need only one surgery bra I paid $26.50CAD and a free travel size soap. The soap is really small but he said I need it only for the night before and on the morning of the surgery.

Hey Guys! I got a tip from a fellow real selfer - snobbyblog that Electric Recliners are Alice saver post surgery! So I went on a hunt and got me a used one (almost new + fully functional). This gave me so much joy :)
It comes with a massage feature which is a bonus for me.

I can imagine trying to sit up or even get up from a flat bed will be a hassle - the lift feature will definitely come in handy!

I'll post on here afterwards if the lift changer is a life saver post op! #FingersCrossed!

The count down is on!
Today I got the complete instruction manual from Rocky View Hospital in the mail. It's basically information on preparing myself for the surgery and also post op.
-It has the contact number to the admitting office
-time to call to confirm surgery
-where to come to on the day of surgery
-what to bring along ( I was advised not to bring my phone or credit cards etc.) hubby will bring all of that in my over night bag after the surgery
- what to wear etc
I am totally greatful to Real Self, I didn't find any new information in the manuals to be honest, as pretty much all my questions and much more has been covered here in this forum! :) and also by my surgeons office.
It doesn't hurt to have it in writing though.
Just to let anyone out there procrastinating or just plain scared to take the big step especially here in Alberta ... between Rocky View and the Surgeons office the support system is immense.
Right now I'm just taking pictures for memory sakes ????

Just a few more days!
I can't wait... earlier I was so nervous but I have had so many people on here and generally encouraging me! Thank you :)
I was told not to come to the hospital on the day of surgery with my phone. My hubby can bring the phone to me after surgery - hospital can't be held liable for lost items. But i wanted selfies :(
I got this book so to occupy myself while waiting :) - since I won't have my phone , to be honest, I couldn't wait and already started colouring. I love it!!!!

I spent the most part of the day in bed just resting!
Last week I checked my Blood Pressure it was so high my family doctor warned that if not controlled m surgery maybe postponed!
That even spiked it more haha! (Don't you just hate that)
Well she advised I cut down on salt and fries which I followed and it's gotten better -thankfully.
I called Rocky View Hospital and my surgery has been scheduled for 12noon, though i have to go in 3 hours before.. just wondering what I'll be doing in all that time. Well I have my coloring book..

Surgery was successful!! I still had high blood pressure which caused a little complication. I will update full details in my next post when I'm less woozy from pain meds.

My surgery was scheduled for 12:30 noon September 14. it was successful and I was awake at 4:10pm
I immediately noticed a shooting pain in my left Breast. It became so engorged and painful. I was so woozy and groggy and in horrible pain. My Surgeon (what an amazing doctor) he kept talking to me and ensuring my pain was managed. I honestly don't know what was going on. The big suspicion was my skyrocketing Blood Pressure that could have led to that. Anyway I had a catheter in and at 10:30pm i went back into surgery to fix the left breast. We came out round 1 am and was finally okay. This time bigger drains were used to ensure I drained out nicely.
The anesthesiologist explained to me that they had difficulty with intubation. He recommended I get a Medical Alert Bracelet for that. #ScaryStuff
I take this to be another benefit of my breast surgery.
We discovered this in a controlled environment!!
Anyway we stayed back in the hospital for a couple more hours and I was discharged at around 4pm on Friday after the drains were taken out.
I'm healing very well. Still in pain meds so a scale of 0-10my pains or rather discomfort is a 2. My hubby got time off and he is helping with the kids so that helps 100%
P.S the Recliner is a life saver!!!!!!!!!

It’s been a week since my procedure an I must say I am healing very nicely!
I’m 3 days off pain meds not even Tylenol :)
I realized that the surgical bra I have was biting into my incisions and hurting so I went to Walmart and got this bralette as seen in my pictures and it’s very very comfortable like I usually use it when I want to take a break from my surgical bra and it’s Amazing! I got it if I can remember for like $10.
Also I was so constipated by day 4 I couldn’t take it anymore I tried prunes I tried green tea, That didn’t help, so I walked into to a walk-in clinic and they gave me a laxative that I take every morning and so far I am beginning to be regular.
I still sleep in my recliner ,I have no fear of rolling over to my side it’s amazing it’s a lifesaver actually :). To be honest, I don’t know what I would’ve done without the recliner it’s amazing I can’t like emphasize enough the benefits of this lift chair. Mine comes with a massage function, so i use that when I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall asleep.
My first post op with my surgeon is on the 27th about a week from today so I will post updates then that’s when the Steri-Strips will be taken off. I can’t wait! :)

The Visit went well.The Steri-Strip tapes were taken off and the stitches were removed where necessary. my PS give me a silicon gel to help with the scars. Basically I’m really really OK, maybe cos I’ve got the steri-stip tapes taken off my boobs feel a little sore than usual I took Tylenol I’m better. I’m very happy with my size I don’t feel any pain in my back and my shoulders anymore. I still am on medical leave so I spend the majority of the day in bed or relaxing. I will be able to say for sure how great I feel when I return back to work.
I am a little worried about my left breast as it’s bigger and the shape looks a little bit different when you look at it from the side. My PS advised not to worry about it as it is as a result of the complication I had from high blood pressure that required a second surgery in the left breast on the same day. He says not to worry about it that should give it like another month it’s going to settle down and all the swelling will go away.
So fingers crossed! Blog again in a bit hopefully everything should be perfect by then bye :)

So happy with my boobs! I’m so so glad I made the choice ( one of my best decisions). the left breast has evened out. My nipples still feel super sensitive. I wince every time the shower spray hits them :)
I got a scar treatment gel - rejuvasil from my PS for CAD50 and also got rose hip oil. My PS said it’s not a medical requirement to massage my breasts... I still do Cos I find it therapeutic :)
The ident marks from before are fast fading out (also using the rose hip oil for that)
My next visit to PS office is on 25th October, I’ll let you know how it goes.

I know this is totally cliche ...but how time flies :)
It’s 2 months already. Nothing changed I think. I still look like my one month milestone to me.
My sleep is much better, I caught myself sleeping face down twice, I try not to (Wouldn’t want to risk anything ...you know!)
I resumed back to work on the 6th November and I have 0% Back pain.
I can confidently say IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!
It’s winter and I live in Calgary, it’s so severe!!!!when the temperature drops I feel so much pain and twitches in my nipple area/ incisions. Does anyone know about this??? I will surely ask my PS on my next visit

It’s been about 3 months and I feel I’m like 80% recovered. I started wearing underwire Bras but not for the the whole day, as I find my incisions still hurt. So it seems I’ll end up a D cup bigger than I thought but I like it! Been trying out cardio for over a week and so far so good.
Still can’t lie on my tummy.
It’s winter and sometime my breasts especially the nipples hurt all day long. I’m guessing it’s the cold! Saw my PS but he said I’m doing very well nothing to worry about!
My next appointment with him is 3 months from now #Phew

It’s Been over a year since my surgery I have lost over 20pounds nd wanted to show what my boobs look like. I definitely shrunk in my sides but bookies didn’t sag yay!

I'm so far very happy with the incredible transformation I've undergone. Not for the faint of heart, but all good things come with a price, and now I'm feeling great and look amazing in my new clothing and swimsuits! I wanted my breasts filled back up with what was lost during pregnancy etc, but didn't expect to really be excited by my breast augmentation, but now I can't help checking them out, they look amazing! I went swimsuit shopping today, and for the first time ever in my whole life the sale woman told me that I had a great body, I couldn't believe it. I'm very happy overall.

I wanted to take the time to write this because so many women I talk to have so many questions about breast augmentation. I think the 1st question I get asked about my breast procedure every time would be who did the surgery? I feel that I need to tell other ladies in Calgary that the best doctor is Dr.Humphreys. He FIXED my 1st surgery I had done 13 years ago by another doctor in Calgary.
He made me feel so comfortable and understanding to my concerns. The surgery went better then the first time and the scar looks better then it did the 1st time. I would highly recommend him and his amazing staff of ladies!!!!! If u ever have any questions you can email me or if you want to actually talk to a real person who has experienced this twice just let me know....I wish I had someone real to talk about the surgery.
I had some bad issues I wanted fixed and he really made me feel so much better by filling my breasts to what I wanted, making my stretch marks look much better and I no longer have the line under my left breast. My breasts are also closer together so when I lay down they stay in place and not in my armpits!!! My scar is the bottom of my nipple and it blends pretty good with everything.
I'm happy i took the time to find Dr.Humphreys if you read my review you will be happy too picking him to help you with your procedures.

I've wanted breast augmentation done since I was 16, but never seriously looked into it. However, I'm turning 25 this year and have recently lost some weight. I was lacking in the breast department before, but now I barely fit into a B cup bra. My large hips make my breasts look even smaller. I've been feeling very self conscious and never go anywhere without wearing a VERY padded bra. I'm just so tired of feeling like a little boy, so I bit the bullet and went for a consultation.
My consultation was such a wonderful experience. I discussed the procedure in detail and tried on different sizes of breasts. I was so happy I booked in for the procedure two months earlier than I expected to and will be having surgery on September 1st. I am slightly nervous about the need for heavy pain killers as I hate being high, but am otherwise ecstatic.

3 weeks until my surgery and I get more excited every day. I spend hours obsessing over the reviews on this site for BAs, and continuously wish the time would go by faster. My only concern right now is how/what to tell my coworkers. My office manager knows because I told her when I booked the time off, but she's the only one so far. The only person I know I can't tell is the dentist that I work for. He is very awkward and I know he would rather have me not tell him. I'm just not sure if I should not say anything and only tell those who notice, or if I should just tell everyone and be out with it. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has advice :)

Four days until my surgery and I'm starting to get very excited. I'm still a little concerned about having to take heavy pain killers, but I'm sure I'll be fine. I've posted a few more before pictures to show how wide and disproportionate my hips are.

Yesterday was surgery day and it was a phenomenal experience. Dr. Humphreys and his staff are so warm and caring that I was not even nervous going into surgery! It started off with me sitting in a big soft leather chair while the nurse went over my medications and post op directions. She had me change into a blue surgical gown and then brought me a super soft and warm housecoat. My surgery was at 2:15 so I was really hungry from not eating since midnight and I had not had coffee so I was groggy and light headed. When the anesthesiologist came in to shake my hand, I accidentally handed him the magazine I was reading! Haha, super embarrassing but he laughed and was really nice about it. After he left Dr, Humphreys came in and drew my surgical lines. He talked to me about regular day to day stuff and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Then a nurse walked me to the surgery room and helped me get on the table. The staff talked and joked while I was being put under, which was awesome and helped me not feel anxious at all. When I woke up I was feeling pretty good. A little tight in the chest area, but the nurse gave me some pain medication right away and the tightness disapated and there was no pain. When I was more awake the nurse helped me get dressed I wished I had worn clothing that was really baggy, because the loose fitting clothes I chose to wear made it harder to get dressed and the nurse couldn't do up the top button of my shirt. After, they moved me to a chair and gave me some ginger ale and crackers while my IV drip finished giving me some fluids. My boyfriend was by my side at this point and he surprised me with three stuffed animals from one of my favourite movies (Spirited Away). He's super cute like that and I love him for it. On the drive home I slept most of the way, and all day yesterday I napped on and off. I have had absolutely no pain yet, because I have been very diligent with taking my meds every four hours. I hear people saying that sleeping is uncomfortable, so I have some advice. I slept in my power recliner last night. You can put yourself right at the proper 45 degree angle. I had a very good sleep and only woke up when my alarm went off every four hours so that I didn't forget to take my meds. I have not taken my bra off yet, but I'm already in love with my new breasts! I am incredibly pleased with my experience so far and they do not feel foreign or weird. They already feel like a part of me :)! Sorry about writing a novel and not posting any photos. I will post some later in the afternoon!

I am so happy that I spent so much time reading the stories of other BAs on here, or I would have been a little freaked out when I took my bra off to shower, haha. The implants are sitting up very high (of course). I already think the size is awesome, and am so excited for them to heal up so I can go bathing suit shopping. :D

I love my breasts even more than I ever thought I could. I can't even remember what it was like to not have them.

Hi everyone, I would like to write about my experience at Macleod Plastics Surgery clinic. I went there to do breast augmentation. First of all I felt being extremely pushed by Dr, Humphreys’ assistant Nikki to take my decision very fast and make a payment as soon as possible. So, I made a payment literally 12 days before my surgery and then next day I realized it was a mistake as I didn’t have a good feeling about their clinic and doctor. So, I asked my money back but they told me that according to the papers I signed I can request a refund not later than 30 days before surgery. How was that possible to do if they charged me 12 days before surgery? I decided to go ahead and do my surgery. Do I like the result? NO, NO and NO. He put too big implants in me, even though I told him I don’t like big breast and all I wanted just to give my breast a little lift and fullness. As a result I have big breast which looks ridiculous with my body size. They are materialistic and don’t have individual approach to every client. I would never recommend Dr Humphreys and their clinic to anyone.

I'm looking to add some roundness back to my deflated breasts without having to get a lift. I lift weights along with yoga and work a physical job I wanted to go over the muscle and thankfully my doctor agreed. I know my breasts have some droop but I want an overall natural result. I'm a petite person and only want to go up one size so I'm getting 300cc.

Had surgery this morning around 11 am and out of hospital at 1pm. My breasts are high and hard right now so just need to be patient. My pain scale I would say is a 3 out of 10. I haven't taken any pain pills because they make me nauseous and I'd rather be a little sore then be nauseous although I might be changing my mind tomorrow. I have the opposite of breast greed right now because I'm thinking they may look to big for my frame, I guess time will tell. Just wanted to get some volume back with a slight lift without having to get a full lift.

So this morning I gave in and took half a Oxycodone as I was feeling a bit sore. I would say pain scale was 5/10 and I've heard pain can slow down healing process. Right now they're looking great but huge. I'm not sure how much is the implant and how much is swelling. They're sitting high and feel hard and I can't wait for them to soften up.

My breasts have started to sag but it's what I expected. I'm still happy because they do still have fullness and not looking as sad and deflated as they did pre surgery. I hope these pics help anyone looking into getting breast implants for larger, sagging breasts.
