WORTH IT
I am a single 31 year old female and have just had my breast reduction completed. I could not be happier with Dr. Humphreys attentiveness and kindness throughout the procedure! From the very beginning with his office, staff, to the consultation, operations team right down to post op, he has been amazing! I am currently at 3 days post op with minimal pain and feeling great! Will be posting pictures soon!

Hey!
The conditions were simple. I simply went to my family doctor and got a referral. I had lost weight prior to, of course, to see if that would make a difference but as I lost everywhere else, I never lost it in the chest area which caused even more back pain. I did also have to research to find the surgeon of my choice which I gave to the doctor. They sent a form to the office and I got an appointment. Once the referral went through and my consultation was completed, I was booked in for surgery!
The process was fantastic and the office was extremely supportive and they answered all my questions. Everything was covered through ABHS. As this was done through that process, it covered everything from my appointments the surgery, medication and hospital stay. The only thing I purchased was the post surgical bra from the clinic upon booking the surgery which was $26 dollars.
I hope this helps and good luck!

It’s been exactly 15 days since I completed my breast reduction. The last two weeks have been tough. Some days better than others but overall doing great! Will make this a more frequent with updates! Still have some bruising and swelling in both breasts. The steri strips are coming off on their own at this point and my next follow up is in 3 weeks from today. Will post after that. Just added photos of the process thus far.

A hectic year it has been!!
Everything is healing so well! The scarring is minimal, and the swelling is starting to go down! I started my journey at a 36GG/34H, and as the swelling comes down and weight loss is just beginning, I am continuously going down, I am currently sitting at a 36 D/DD which is a fantastic feeling!
All the ridges in my shoulders have now passed, and I have no more divets from bra straps (I never thought I would see the day :)) I will be posting pictures in the next week!

Hi! I'm from Manitoba and waiting patiently for my surgery which is supposed to be sometime before Christmas. Canadian health care moves at a snails pace as you know! Anyways I'm so glad your surgeon turned out to be wonderful! I pray the one I was referred to turns out to be ok--I'll know more after the surgery-if it ever happens! Can I ask, do you know how many kilos you had removed? Did you have drains? And what did you use as creams, etc for care afterwards? How are you going about losing weight afterwards? I wish to lose weight afterwards as well as I am unable to right now due to the size of my breasts. Exercise is difficult. Sorry for so many questions! It's just great seeing someone from Canada on this site! All the best for your healing and may your journey be joyful!

Hello fellow Canuck! Agreed, there aren't many of us Canadians on this site, but there are some. I feel your pain with the wait times. Keep dogging your doctor's office. I had to wait for OHIP (not sure what Manitoba uses but assume it's something similar) and turns out my paperwork had been "misplaced." Had it not for my hounding of my doctor's office and in turn them hounding OHIP, who knows what would have happened with my paperwork! Hang in there - it WILL happen. It took about a year from my request to my primary care physician to actual surgery. Check out my review for more information.

Hey!
Sorry for the late response! I hope I get them answered before your surgery.
I found it to be absolutely amazing! Kilos wise they did tell me how many CC they removed but I was very high on medications but went from a 36 GG/H to a DD as of the year mark which is amazing to me.
I had drains for 24 hours post op while I was in the hospital and they removed them the day I was discharged.
Bio Oil is my number one choice for healing and Aveeno was and still is my best friend when I am showering.
I also bought a specific cream to reduce scarring directly from my surgeons office and the workouts are amazing- it so different from how it was when I had essentially an additional 10 pounds on my chest.
Hope this helps!
