After getting a BBL done abroad (not in the U.S.), I was left with painful fat necrosis on both sides. Sitting was difficult, and I spent so much time looking for a doctor who could actually help. Most either didn’t know how to fix it or told me they weren’t sure they could. Dr. Hughes was the only one who knew exactly what to do. He removed the fat necrosis in one surgery. I don’t have any pain today. Then, in a second procedure, he did fat grafting to restore the shape and volume. He’s also able to transfer way more fat than most surgeons, which is a huge advantage for BBL procedures. I know how hard it is to find a surgeon who truly specializes in these kinds of complex cases, and if you’re looking for someone who actually knows what they’re doing with BBL revisions and fat grafting in general, I 100% recommend him!
It's not often that I leave a review, but I felt compelled after the exceptional care I received from Dr. Hughes. I initially found Dr. Hughes via YouTube, and I watched his YouTube videos. I admired his work when I saw his before/after pics on his website for skinny patients. Even though I was hesitant to reach out to his office, I submitted my contact information on his website, and Angela, the patient coordinator, reached out to me later that day. Choosing the right PS can be daunting and overwhelming, but Angela was a wealth of information. I felt at ease during our phone conversation. ??????During my Skype consultation, Dr. Hughes took the time to address my questions and explain the procedure in detail. All my fears vanished after my Skype consultation; I felt I made the right choice. Before the surgery, Angela quickly returned all of my phone calls and emails and provided me with the contact information for my caretaker. My procedure went well, and my caretaker, Julia, was kind and caring. I had no pain or nausea after the procedure. I drank protein shakes thrice daily and walked around. ??????The dedication of Dr. Hughes to his patients exceeded my expectations. He is a skilled surgeon who does excellent work and cares tremendously about his patients. I recommend him to anyone, and I am happy that I chose him. My experience with Hughes Plastic Surgery was exceptional.
Dr Hughes removed 200cc implants, with a fat transfer to the breasts 3 months ago. I was an A-cup before implants, a small C with them, and am now a large B. I hated having implants-- only kept them for about 18 months. He used the areola incisions I already had. I have no lumps whatsoever. My results are PERFECT. I mean extraordinary. My breasts are soft and rounded and much more symmetrical. My bras pre-implant removal still fit, and I'm down to my workout weight. I wish I had never gotten implants, but i seem to have escaped the whole debacle mostly unscathed. The recovery was fine, about 5 days down and 6 weeks of taking it easy. It's my sense that this surgery works for those looking for a slight increase (It seems I retained more than most, maybe because of the small implant removal). I would advise against over-stuffing breasts with 500cc or what dr bender seems to do. I ended l with a lovely increase and zero lumps, which women seem to complain about more with him. Dr Hughes is worth every penny. He is careful not to promise you anything, but he quietly delivers everything.
This journey started when I made a huge mistake by going to Dr. P.l.a.z.a.s in Colombia for lipo/bbl. The experience was horrible. They gave me tylenol for pain- I was in excruciating pain for weeks. At first it I was very happy with the shape, but as months went by and the swelling went down, I was left with horrific and disfiguring fibrosis, lumps, unevenness, and loose skin. He had sucked every molecule of fat from my stomach. I looked like Tara Reid after her botched lipo but 100x worse. Not to mention the lipo burn on my side that left a permanent scar. I felt hopeless- there was no way I could wear a crop top or bikini ever again. I was determined to find someone who could give me some improvement. I consulted with 3 different plastic surgeons, two of which turned me down and one which gasped when he saw my stomach and flippantly said he could do a tummy tuck. I continued to research and luckily found Dr. Hughes, who specializes in lipo revisions which are extremely difficult to perform. Few surgeons are willing to fix another surgeon's mistake. We started out with an email consult (I was an out of town patient) and we went back and forth. He even called me at one point to set my expectations. He essentially told me he was hoping to have a 50% improvement but that he was confident he would have the best chance at improving the look of my stomach. I went on his website countless times and saw all the revisions he did which convinced me he was the one. As others have said this is not a luxury plastic surgery experience; if you want an instagram famous surgeon he's not for you. If you want an incredibly talented and focused surgeon then he's the one. On the day of surgery one of the OR nurses didn't show up and I was starting to feel nervous it wouldn't happen, but luckily they found someone and before I knew it I was getting prepped in the OR. He ended up removing the scar tissue and removing the loose skin (mini tummy tuck, I have had 2 children) This recovery was completely different from the experience I had in Colombia. I was given pain meds appropriately and had no pain during my recovery. I did have a drain in which helped get rid of the fluid. I compressed for 6 weeks as directed. My scar is nice and light except for the side where the drain was, but I believe that will improve as well. He gave me at least 80% improvement and I am so happy with my results. I do feel I can wear a bikini or short top again if I want. He really changed my life and helped reverse a botched plastic surgery. Please take this as a warning to be very very careful which surgeon you choose for such an important procedure.
Dr Kenneth Hughes was great I had 2 procedure I love both of them. First procedure he had fix my butt implants a previous dr messed up on. I came back for a fat transfer my hips so far I love results him and Nataly we soo patient and kind I will be back soon for a tt I recommend him 100%
I went to Dr. Hughes for a mini BBL and lipo revision. I am impressed with Dr. Hughes level of skill and knowledge. He gave me expert advice on what was possible, along with things he did not recommend. It is a nice and reassuring feeling to have complete trust with your surgeon. He is honest and does what is best for the patient. Post-op was very easy. I healed well and quickly thanks to Dr. Hughes. Overall, I am very happy with my results. The staff was friendly, quick to respond, and professional. I also met Dr. Hughes father on the day of surgery, as well as post-op. His father was kind, welcoming, and engaging. It was a pleasure meeting him. I saw Dr. Hughes for a revision to fix what the previous surgeon did wrong. If I could have done things all over again, I would have went to Dr. Hughes in the first place. He gives the best results possible. Thank you Dr. Hughes!
Dr. Kenneth Hughes, (or Dr. Ken as I like to call him), Nataly, and his staff at Hughes Plastic Surgery are absolutely incredible. Since November of 2020, I have been on a physical and emotional roller coaster ride. Thanks to his amazing skill in creating and achieving beautiful surgical outcomes in his patients, (even those cases that are difficult because they are revisions from another surgeon’s work, or procedures that aren’t commonly practiced among other plastic surgeons), I am here today to share my story.Dr. Ken’s top priority is the health and safety of his patients. He will help you achieve the aesthetic goals you are looking for, but he will also be HONEST about how it needs to be handled, so everything is done in the SAFEST manner and in a way that achieves the best results. He performs many surgeries each year that many other plastic surgeons only do occasionally or refuse to do at all, because they say they can’t be done effectively.Dr. Ken proves that these surgeries not only can be done, but can be done with INCREDIBLE precision and results, if done correctly, safely, and by a skilled and educated plastic surgeon. His care and concern for his patients is obvious from the moment you walk in the doors of Hughes Plastic Surgery. It is impeccably clean, they safely follow every Covid-19 safety protocol to the T, and he makes the time to see you pre-op, in the OR, and post-operatively. I can’t say that about too many surgeons. When I came to Dr. Ken, I had just gone through a horrific plastic surgery experience. I was deeply skeptical, terrified, and just plain suspicious of any plastic surgeon at that point.I had gone to a new plastic surgeon for a breast reconstruction correction (one of my implants had failed after 3 years and my previous plastic surgeon had retired), and then I made the mistake of also having Lipo 360 and a BBL. I did this because I had always been a fit woman, but at almost 44 years old, I had gained about 20 pounds despite exercising 5-7 days a week and monitoring what I ate vigilantly. Looking at photos on social media was devastating for me because I just couldn’t achieve “that” look no matter how hard I worked out or ate conscientiously.I thought I did adequate research on both the procedure and the surgeon I had chosen, but looking back, I knew nothing and was totally unprepared for the experience. I didn’t realize how dangerous BBL surgeries could be. I had never heard of RealSelf, so I didn’t check there, and all of the reviews for the surgeon I had chosen SEEMED outstanding (of course they would be, they were on his website and his IG profile).Afterward, I looked up NEGATIVE reviews with the surgeon’s name attached, and I was shocked at the horror stories I found. (I highly recommend that you look up negative reviews with the surgeon you are planning to have surgery with—you would be surprised what you find sometimes.) At any rate, I knew immediately after my surgery that my body had been seriously traumatized and damaged.BOTH of my breast implants ruptured through infected incisions, requiring emergency surgery with a plastic surgeon here at home that specialized in dealing with cancer patients and reconstruction. I was devastated because I had to have my implants removed for several months in order to clear the infection and allow my incisions to heal. I didn’t even have to do that when I had my initial double mastectomy in 2017. I had fat necrosis and infection.I had fibrosis and serious Lipo burns, and my bottom looked horrible. It was lumpy, had dimples that it never had before, and it definitely didn’t match the photoshopped shape that so many surgeons show of their patients after supposedly ONE round of BBL surgery. I knew I had to do something. I had pain all over my body from the burns, necrosis, and fibrosis, and I had gone through months of sitting on a BBL pillow for no reason. Most of the transferred fat died and I may have ended up with a slightly larger bottom, but it certainly wasn’t more shapely. In fact, it had looked rounder and nicer before the surgery. I knew I needed someone who had experience with correcting issues from other surgeries, and let’s face it, most plastic surgeons don’t want to touch that. I knew I didn’t want to go through another BBL, because what little results I had didn’t last, and most of the change to my body was negative.I started researching butt implants and doctors that could do them and do them well. My body wouldn’t be able to handle any more lipo due to the condition of the skin on my sides/flanks, so I knew that was out for a BBL, and I didn’t want to go through the bleeding, oozing, “Oh my God, is this normal?, I think I’m going to die” part of the BBL that my previous surgeon had said nothing to me about. In fact, I only saw him for a few minutes for a consult the day before my surgery, and then for a few minutes while he marked me up prior to surgery.I never saw him after that, not in the OR, not post-op and not even when their office knew my Lipo burns were serious and infected and my breast incisions were not healing properly and most likely infected as well. I had traveled far from where I lived for the BBL surgery (within the US), because there aren’t many plastic surgeons that have a lot of experience with BBL around me.There are even fewer that use butt implants or will do corrective surgery after another surgeon has botched something. I found Dr. Ken’s website and I was impressed by all of the pictures in his gallery. He obviously had a LOT of experience and did the type of surgery I was looking for on a daily basis. Let that be a lesson to all of us that if you see a plastic surgeon reposting the same before and after pics over and over, it’s probably because they don’t have too many successful outcomes that they can post to draw patients in.On the other hand, Dr. Ken had an ENORMOUS gallery of photos of all types of surgeries. And the results looked amazing from the before and after. The more I researched him, the more I liked his approach and personality. I was still super nervous about traveling all the way across the country, however, to have this surgery. I was worried about the flight home, and about being far away from my family again and things going horribly wrong. When I contacted Dr. Hughes' office, I shared all of my concerns. Dr. Ken and Nataly did everything they could to put me at ease. I love that Dr. Ken will recommend what he feels is best for you, and explain why. He is Harvard educated and trained and it shows. From the moment of my first consult, when I emailed him, he PERSONALLY emailed me back. I don’t know many surgeons that do that.He is obviously dedicated to the health, safety and satisfaction of his clients. If you ask him to do something that he feels will cause issues (i.e. place larger implants that your body can handle), he will tell you why it’s not a good idea. A lot of surgeon’s will just do what you want because they are there for the payday and don’t really care at the end of the day, so they will just do whatever the patient asks, even if it’s not going to achieve the best result or be safe.I followed Dr. Ken’s post surgical instructions precisely, because I knew he wanted great results for me as much as I did. I remember flying into LA the day before my surgery and being so nervous. When I arrived for my surgery and entered the building, it was so clean and professional that I felt immediately at ease. (My prior surgery was a totally different experience. When the Uber dropped me off I took a look at the outside of the building and thought “this can’t be it!This can’t be where this enormously successful ‘BBL King’ practices!” I remember considering catching a flight back home, regardless of whether I lost my payment or not. I should have listened to my gut.) Entering Hughes’ Plastic Surgery was an entirely different scenario. The staff was courteous and prompt (I never waited more than 5 minutes for Dr. Ken), the office was immaculate, and I knew when Dr. Ken walked into the room and started talking to me that I was in the right surgeon’s hands. He only took 3 photos of me—a rear facing photo, and photos from each side—not the slew of photos that I had to have taken at the previous surgeon’s so they could crop, and photoshop, and manipulate the angle. He doesn’t have to use “trick photography” or “gimmicky” lighting or backgrounds because his work speaks for itself without those things. It can be a little nerve wracking with Covid protocols (which may have changed since my surgery), to only meet face to face the day of your surgery, but he put me at ease right away. When I had had my FaceTime consult, he knew that I wanted butt implants to correct the BBL issues, but he also recommended an inferior buttock lift to help achieve the shape I was looking for and to correct the problems created by the prior surgery. He did not push me to do this additional procedure, he simply explained why it would help and what he would do. Most doctors won’t even do these lifts because they say they don’t work.Let me tell you—Dr. Ken KNOWS what works for each of his patients!!! I had the butt implants placed (and Nataly even explained to me how the different sizes of implants would create projection or widen my hips more—I had assumed the bigger the implant the larger the projection, but that is not necessarily so). I was so happy to be with Dr. Ken and his staff and have them explain these things to me.I don’t remember the exact size I went with, I think it was 450 cc or something like that. When I asked about going larger, Dr. Ken said it would be a mistake because most likely my incisions would open and I would end up having to have them removed anyway. That’s what I love about him—he will tell it to you straight about what is best. His honesty is refreshing! He is the doctor and you have to trust him and trust the process. The nursing staff they recommended for me was fabulous during my stay (my fiancé could not accompany me because he had to stay with our children), so it was great having a competent, knowledgeable, and sweet nurse. One of the things that meant the most to me that was Dr. Ken was there for my pre-surgery visit, he was in the OR before my surgery, and he was there when I woke up.Considering the previous surgeon had ghosted me, even knowing I was having issues, this meant the world to me and gave me a priceless sense of peace. Dr. Ken’s office also didn’t herd me out like cattle the second I started waking up. They waited until it was safe for me to leave with my nurse to go back to my hotel. I remember Dr. Ken being at the bedside asking how I felt when I woke up. He said I had had an enormous amount of scar tissue in my buttocks that he had to work through from the previous surgery (which is probably why my bottom ended up looking more “dimpled” after the BBL surgery). I’m not going to lie, the surgery was painful. However, because I had been through so much just a few short months before that, I was able to handle it well. My nurse commented numerous times how surprised she was that I was able to push myself up to get out of bed or assist with crawling back in. I had to sleep on my stomach for 6 weeks. I think I actually slept on my stomach a little longer than that, just because it was difficult to get comfortable any other way. I had my drains in when I returned home.Dr. Ken likes to keep the drains in longer then most surgeons to avoid build retention, which is one of the main complications of butt implant surgery. He gave me specific directions and I followed them. He gave me a letter for on the plane so I could walk around and didn’t have to sit very much (pretty much just landing and take off) because I had a 5 hour flight home and then another 1.5 hour car ride home from the airport. In the first few weeks, it was difficult to walk and I didn’t do stairs or bend or squat (it pulled at my incisions too much). But everything proceeded as he told me it would and he continued to answer every email I sent him with questions as I was healing. The reason I say that it is because of Dr. Ken that I am here to write this review is because approximately 1.5 weeks after my surgery, I developed a DVT or blood clot. Of course, I didn’t know what it was. The pain was actually more so in my ankle and so I thought I had just slept on it wrong or stepped down off the bed wrong (I still wasn’t going steps at this time and was sleeping on my belly).I sent Dr. Ken an email because the pain started getting worse to where I couldn’t bear weight on the leg/foot and it started swelling and turning red and felt warm to the touch. I also started to spike a fever. I wasn’t sure what to think of that since I thought it was just a strained ankle. But I knew I could count on Dr. Ken to give me advice, and sure enough, as late as it was (it was around 12 am Eastern Time), he immediately got back to me and told me I needed to see a doctor. I assured him I would call my family doctor the next day, not realizing the seriousness of my situation. He messaged me back and said, “No, what you are describing sounds like an emergency to me, you need to go to an ER or urgent care NOW.” I had a fever but didn’t feel THAT awful, but I TRUSTED Dr. Ken implicitly. I ended up going by ambulance to the ER for a serious DVT. If it had not been for Dr. Ken and his concern and willingness to communicate with me, even after business hours, completely across the country, who knows what could have happened?I was in the hospital for 3 days for treatment and am still on a blood thinner to alleviate the clot and prevent the formation of new ones. This blood clot was by no means Dr. Ken’s fault, of course. I had had 3 big surgeries within 5 months, and had flown to and from surgeon’s offices for two of the surgeries with the minimum flight time being 2 hours. I feel like Dr. Ken saved my life. Not only does he care about achieving the best results for his patients—he truly is a perfectionist—he also cares about his patients and their health and safety. This makes him an incredibly special doctor, surgeon, and person. I don’t know how to explain it in words—your surgical success is also his—he takes it personally, in an AMAZING way. I remember how the mood was in the OR and his focus right before I fell asleep—it was like an incredibly skilled NFL player getting psyched for a Super Bowl win. That may not be the right analogy, but it’s as if he was as psyched and happy to be fixing my issues as I was to BEING fixed SAFELY.He does everything precisely and for reasons we may not understand (because we aren’t the ones who studied and practiced and have years of experience as Harvard surgeons), but his results are always impeccable IF YOU follow his aftercare instructions. He was very specific about that with me and told me he could execute a surgery perfectly, but if a patient didn’t follow aftercare instructions, it could immediately ruin what could have been a perfect result (or as close as we get to perfection in this world). If he tells you to keep the drains in for 3 weeks, do it!It’s to reduce or eliminate complications from fluid build up! If he says strip the drains EVERY HOUR, do it! It keeps them from clogging and allows them to drain the fluid! I followed his advice to the T, because I did not want any further issues or complications. I am 44 years old and too old to keep having surgery, especially with my autoimmune issues. I cannot and no longer want to try to keep up with the societal pressures placed on women to look airbrushed and perfect.I just wanted to fix the damage that had been done during my previous surgery. Because I’m on a blood thinner now and have had a DVT, my breast reconstruction surgery has had to be put off even longer for safety reasons, and I will not even be able to move directly to implants, I’ll have to start with expanders first because the damage to my chest was so significant. This has been a traumatic but eye opening experience. Remember, you’re not looking for a flashy used car salesman, and that’s how some of these plastic surgeons on IG, social media, or the web come across—you’re looking for a doctor, a specialist, a surgeon, who is trained, precise, knowledgeable, and cares about your results as much as you do!!! That is why I highly recommend Dr. Ken at Hughes Plastic Surgery in Los Angeles, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do the surgery that he did for me.If I ever need any future surgeries or have any issues, I know I am in good hands with him, and I wouldn’t hesitate to fly across the country again to have the security of being in the hands of a master surgeon who CARES! I am extremely pleased with the results of my surgery with Dr. Ken, and I am only 3 months post op. I imagine at 6 months to a year when things have had more time to settle, “fluff”, and heal, I will be ecstatic. I couldn’t ask for more pleasing results, honestly, or a better surgical experience. If you are considering any type of plastic surgery, Dr. Ken is your man!
I got breast implants 2 years ago from another surgeon and have been very unhappy with them. They were different sizes, didn't look right on my body, and he messed up the placement of one of my nipples. I finally got them redone with Dr. Hughes. I couldn't be happier with the results. He is focused on his work above all else, which I respect. He is also concerned for the health and safety of his patients with aftercare. Thank you Dr. Hughes, I can't wait until they are healed. I am finally thrilled with my breasts!
I'm not one to write reviews, but I've relied heavily on all of yours, so I thought I'd give back. I got a Brazilian butt lift by Dr. Dennis Dass in the first week of January 2021. For all intents and purposes he did a good job. I have no lumps or dents and a bigger butt. I do have a shelf but if you add fat I don't see how that's avoidable. I asked for something "very conservative, but with results". He said "I'll just put a thin layer of fat everywhere" and I agreed. I repeated the word conservative several times more. The recovery was rough but that comes with the territory. Six weeks of not sitting down is very difficult. There was also a lot of pain involved. When I went for my one week postop I was very worried that my body was too exaggerated. I asked him how many cc's he put in and he said 700. I later found out that he actually put in 800-- I think he just wanted to calm me. I mention this because that was obviously unethical and irresponsible to lie. I would have possibly put pressure on areas that were to retain fat if I had known the amount he had actually put in. You need o trust your doctor to tell the truth. By six weeks I knew I had made a mistake. Bodies are simply not shaped this way. I got what anyone would deem a conservative surgery however I was not undetectable. I had a friend ask "why does your butt look fake?" when I was wearing black jeans. At exactly my 12 week mark I went in for a reduction with Kenneth Hughes. He was very careful not to promise me anything. He said over and over "you don't need to know details of how he surgery works. (I find this condescending) I won't know how much I can take out till we're on the table. It all depends on skin elasticity. I will take out as much as I can." I pressed him for previous patterns or details so I can make an informed decision, but it got contentious. There is simply not a lot of information about reductions out there which is why I'm writing this. I decided to proceed anyway. I am now one day postop from the reduction. He told me after the surgery that he took out 350cc from one cheek and 400 from the other. I can already tell my body looks much much more normal. The recovery is not negligible, I am certainly in pain. I was sent home in an ace bandage which didn't provide much compression so I've changed to my BBL compression shorts BBL just turned backward. I am certainly walking with difficulty, however it is a far easier surgery than a BBL. I will post reduction pics soon. My main advice is to be very very sure you want a BBL before you get one. I don't think the end results of the surgeries look natural truth be told. Be sure this is how you want to change your body! Updated on 6 Apr 2021: This is 3 days post op from reduction. I can’t shower still so I have the lines from where Hughes marked me. Day 4 and I am off pain meds. I’m sore, but this recovery is far easier than a BBL. I think the pictures speak for themselves.! Updated on 8 Apr 2021: Hughes told me he couldn’t promise perfection but then he delivered it. I’m so freaking happy. Updated on 15 Apr 2021: Just wanted to add some more before and after the reduction. Again, I asked Hughes to “remove as much as possible”. Dass had originally put in 800cc, hughes took 350 and 400. Now, my butt is still big and waist small, it’s just natural. If you are considering a reduction, my advice is to go all out! You will still be left with curves! Just not the plastic surgery kind. I am almost 2 weeks after the reduction. It took me down for maybe 5 days, and now I have to remind myself I just had surgery. I feel completely normal. I am wearing compression and not exercising for 6 weeks, but that’s the only reminder. I added some before and after with my original body. I’m glad I got this procedure done; all my clothes look good on me now. I just wish I had been very clear with dass to add VERY LITTLE. It would have saved me 8,500$ and the pain of more surgery. I just don’t think anything above 400 looks natural, which was the original butt lift anyway. May this be a major endorsement for Hughes. He got more patient with walking me though the science and his work is extraordinary. He’s very skilled and worth every penny. I think Dass is also good at his job. I wasn’t left with any dents or lumps from the liposuction, and I think with more specific direction I would have ended up with a good result. However his aesthetic undirected is pretty exaggerated! If you inject fat at the top of your butt while taking the fat from the lower back, you will end up with a shelf! I don’t see how that’s avoidable. So if you go with Dass- go small! However, if I could do it again, I would have gone with Hughes from the beginning. Ok that’s it for me. Good luck out there ladies and gents! Updated on 9 Feb 2022: I got the second round of reduction from Hughes almost 3 months ago. I initially had 800cc inserted by dr dass in Los Angeles in January of 2021. I hated it. I didn't look natural, the pictures on here are deceiving. I had my first round of reduction by Hughes in april of 2021, he removed 350 and 400. It looked better, but still awkward. In December he removed another 350 and 300 from my inferior buttocks and medial. This is an incredibly risky surgery and you need a very skilled hand. You also need he luck of healing properly. He was very careful to not promise me a perfect result. However, as of now I got just that. No skin issues, just a normal sized, regular looking body. I adore his surgeon. He is professional, articulate and very good at his job. Worth every penny.
Dr. Hughes is amazing! He is so knowledgable and talented. His staff Magda and Nataly are wonderful also! His facility is pristine. It even smells good. Dr. Hughes fixed a botched lipo surgery I had on my arms and stomach. I am still healing, it’s only been a week but see a major improvement. They also provide good pre-op and post-op info that was really helpful. If you’re considering getting surgery, you need to go with Ken Hughes.
The thinner patient requires an expert at liposuction to remove as much fat as possible while leaving the skin smooth. There is tremendous difference in skill level among plastic surgeons in fat removal and fat transfer skills. This is a question of proportion between your buttocks and hips and your thighs and legs. A BBL performed by a board certified PS who has a wealth of experience can enhance your overall proportions by improving balance between your upper and lower body. The key in many of these cases is to remove as much fat from the areas of excess like the abdomen, sides, lower back, and bra rolls to reduce these larger dimensions. The fat harvested can then be transferred to the buttocks and hips to help balance this further.
Experience and qualifications of your surgeon: A board-certified plastic surgeon with many years of experience may charge more than a provider who is newly in practice or not plastic surgery board certified. Type of liposuction: This includes the technique used and how many areas where fat will be harvested. Facility: You may face higher costs if the procedure is performed in a hospital instead of an outpatient facility or an office-based surgery suite. Follow-up care: Make sure your follow-ups are covered in the price of the surgery. Also make sure the price includes surgeon's fees, board-certified anesthesiologist fees, CST fees, RN fees, cost of surgical supplies and medication.
Given the pictures, you are likely a good candidate for tummy tuck as the skin will not correct itself with exercise or weight loss. A short scar tummy tuck would remove loose skin, tighten the muscles, and remove the stretchmarks below the navel with a short scar. The shorter scar it leaves is the same length as that of the mini tummy tuck. Ideal patients have to be in general good health and somewhere close to their ideal body weight. A healthy lifestyle is a must, both before and after the procedure.
Why not follow your PS's post operative guidelines? He/she is the one performing your surgery and will know if you can fly within 24 hours of your fat transfer from various parts of your anatomy to the buttocks. There are no hard and fast rules on when to fly after this procedure. Most would recommend a week or two before flying. The main risk is related to development of a blood clot in the legs that can then migrate to the lungs. Sitting for long periods of time puts you at higher risk due to being stationary. Sitting and pressure on the buttocks and hips should be avoided for 6 weeks. However, the patient may use a BBL pillow or similar after surgery when sitting on a plane or when sitting is required as when driving.
Radiologists have confirmed that any calcifications caused by fat grafting can be distinguished from any calcifications associated with malignancy.
