WORTH IT
I'm not one to write reviews, but I've relied heavily on all of yours, so I thought I'd give back.
I got a Brazilian butt lift by Dr. Dennis Dass in the first week of January 2021. For all intents and purposes he did a good job. I have no lumps or dents and a bigger butt. I do have a shelf but if you add fat I don't see how that's avoidable. I asked for something "very conservative, but with results". He said "I'll just put a thin layer of fat everywhere" and I agreed. I repeated the word conservative several times more.
The recovery was rough but that comes with the territory. Six weeks of not sitting down is very difficult. There was also a lot of pain involved. When I went for my one week postop I was very worried that my body was too exaggerated. I asked him how many cc's he put in and he said 700. I later found out that he actually put in 800-- I think he just wanted to calm me. I mention this because that was obviously unethical and irresponsible to lie. I would have possibly put pressure on areas that were to retain fat if I had known the amount he had actually put in. You need o trust your doctor to tell the truth.
By six weeks I knew I had made a mistake. Bodies are simply not shaped this way. I got what anyone would deem a conservative surgery however I was not undetectable. I had a friend ask "why does your butt look fake?" when I was wearing black jeans.
At exactly my 12 week mark I went in for a reduction with Kenneth Hughes. He was very careful not to promise me anything. He said over and over "you don't need to know details of how he surgery works. (I find this condescending) I won't know how much I can take out till we're on the table. It all depends on skin elasticity. I will take out as much as I can." I pressed him for previous patterns or details so I can make an informed decision, but it got contentious. There is simply not a lot of information about reductions out there which is why I'm writing this. I decided to proceed anyway.
I am now one day postop from the reduction. He told me after the surgery that he took out 350cc from one cheek and 400 from the other. I can already tell my body looks much much more normal. The recovery is not negligible, I am certainly in pain. I was sent home in an ace bandage which didn't provide much compression so I've changed to my BBL compression shorts BBL just turned backward. I am certainly walking with difficulty, however it is a far easier surgery than a BBL.
I will post reduction pics soon. My main advice is to be very very sure you want a BBL before you get one. I don't think the end results of the surgeries look natural truth be told. Be sure this is how you want to change your body!

This is 3 days post op from reduction. I can’t shower still so I have the lines from where Hughes marked me. Day 4 and I am off pain meds. I’m sore, but this recovery is far easier than a BBL. I think the pictures speak for themselves.!

Hughes told me he couldn’t promise perfection but then he delivered it. I’m so freaking happy.
