must have 20 and 30 extracted now, but can't do implant until next year. Can the graft last that long? What is the best way to have this done and have the restoration for a year and most of all be cost effective
I have to have tooth 30, and 20 extracted. Can a basic socket graft packed with just Mineralized Cortical bone hold for me to finish the following year(not 6 mths) I do not want to need another graft due to how long I wait. Are another question is can placement be done at the extraction, I would think will save me on cost big time and time? I would still need to wait for the final seat and cost to go to next year. So in order to manage the cost what is the best option Healthy everythin no smoke
I am undergoing dental work and had an implant fitted with a bone graft in August 2023. Since then I have had persistent swelling above the tooth. I have been advised to have a gum graft, followed by removal of the bone graft in 3 months before replacing the crowns. I would like to know could this be a sign of bone graft failure and would you recommend the same advice? I have been told it is likely due to excess bone graft material being present. My X-rays have shown no signs of infection.
I was having swelling gum and pain and my dentist sent me to an peridontist (now I am feeling well). There is a 8mm pocket for my inner most teeth and bone lost due to wisdom teeth extraction 5 years ago. The peridontist suggests a bone graft (D4266m D4263, D4241). Is this urgent enough so I need to do the surgey now or I can do it in Jan next year? The major reason for postpone is to wait for insurance benefits renew.
Hi, I have missing back bottom teeth and now my face is starting to wrinkle and sag on that side. I have a recessed lower jaw and small chin and to make matters worse i got masseter botox 8 months ago and again accidently during a nefertiti lift 3 weeks ago. The masseter tox made my face very narrow and jowly and its feels like my jaw is even further back now. My face is sagging now so I want a facelift. Should i replace bone and get implants or facelift first?
Hello, I had a large bone graft performed to allow for implants for my two front teeth back in June. Naturally, my lips swelled up from this, but the inside of my upper lip is still swollen 6 months after the surgery. Please note I do have old filler in my lips, so I dont know if this has migrated below my lip? This only became an issue after I had the bone graft done. Please advise.
Had #3 and #13 pulled 12 years ago. Bone loss was more severe on #3. Cadaver block grafts done initially. Both failed. Round 2 we did granulated cadaver none mixed with my own blood. #3 fails. Dooctor says since tooth #2 has some root exposed and a filling the graft doesnt want to attach so hes trying to bulk up around it. Is this common?
I have had a dental Bone graft placed about a month ago. I have been experiencing pain (burning/pulsating) for the past month and have been prescribed 3 series of antibiotics. It appears that my pain subsides at the 1st two series of antibiotics, however the 3rd serious of augmentum has been not working as well. I have had multiple x-rays with my general dentist was performed the dental bone graft and it appears that there isnt any issues on the X-rays. I would like them to have them removed.
Ive recently been told I need 2 bone grafts, 1 on the top, 1 on the bottom. The main thing is that my dentist is refusing to use synthetic material for the graft and said only human or animal will work (the thought disgusts me), I know 100% I need a graft on the bottom but I feel as if it is not necessary to do the top. I inserted an image of my X-rays, I need the grafts where my molars are missing.
