I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis which was triggered by a course of low dose accutane. It occurred almost immediately upon starting the accutane, which i discontinued after a month a year ago. Ever since, I've experienced horrible flaking skin, texture, scarring randomly without having acne or picking, and inflammation. I've been on treatment for 3 months now (fluconazole, vanicream z bar soap, and zoryve) + following a fungal safe routine and nothing has helped.
Ive spent thousands of dollars on failed attempts of getting rid of my acne scars. I came across the CO2 fractional laser & after doing research, I scheduled my consultation & procedure. I know some might need more than one treatment but I was wondering if I would see a significant difference in my face after one. Dr.s plan is to go agressive in the most textured areas & some subscision. There isnt a whole lot of info on the internet based on deep acne scars & results.
Hi everyone, I am really struggling with congestion, redness and texture of my skin (minimal breakouts if any) and I have tried pumpkin peels, DMK enzyme peels, BBL Sciton Laser, MOXI Sciton laser, laser genesis and many other fruit acid/glycolic peels. I am prone to keloiding not always but I havent risked micro needling yet as I am nervous. Are there any other procedures that are recommended for my skin type? Its really bothering me as I do events weekly. Thank you
The photos are before and after I was convinced to do a CO2 laser by a facial plastic surgeon. I had zero skin texture issues (except for a scar) before this procedure and right after I noticed all of these fine lines and texture which still hasn't gone away. The surgeon is claiming I had acne which is what caused this which is a complete lie/stopped taking my calls. Does anyone know how to fix this or is my face ruined?
I am a 53 yr old thin build female. Light to tan skin tone. I had acne scarring in the cheek area. CO2 laser resurfacing the first week in April. I know that the doctor at the med spa used a needle/subcision to break up scar tissue which to me now looks like it spread. Should I see some lessening of scars or some improvement by now? Disappointed in lack of results.
My scars are old and had done many chemical peels including TCA cross. Even dermarolling but very less results. Recently i have done RF microneedling 1 session but not happy with the results. Should i opt for co2 laser for my scars. I think its not deep now its more on surface and uneven skin texture. But my doc suggested for RF microneedling as he told it had same results but i dont think so.
What treatment should I get to get rid of acne scars and clogged pores? I am more concerned about the acne scars and skin texture, as compared to the clogged pores that have reduced since I have incorporated salicylic acid into my regime. But my clogged pores are not entirely gone. I also do get 1-2 cystic acne per month. I am worried that the CO2 laser will aggravate acne. Thank you!
I had three complete fully ablative CO2 laser sessions to remove acne scars and 6 months have passed since the last session. The acne scar was removed, but my skin texture after the laser is shiny and full of pores, and its appearance is not normal at all. I have read other comments about this, additional methods were mentioned, does the skin look normal after microneedling or prp, etc.? Will it get better over time? Will such skin texture be repaired at all? How long does it take for it to l
Hello, I received a Co2 laser treatment 7 months ago on my face. About 3 months in I realized the rough texture isnt going away. I have weird holes and lines that werent there before, mostly under my eye. I went back to the provider around month 4 and she said it was mila (there were maybe 1 or 2 mila but nothing crazy) and said it takes 6 months to heal. Here we are at 7 months and the texture hasnt improved at all. Is this permanent? Could it be scarring?
