I had a chin augmentation 16 days ago and Im concerned about the pain that I still feel in my chin. On the bottom left side of my chin there is a small bump where the pain is localized when I open my mouth to eat. I cant see a rash and dont have any other symptoms. I will be following up with my doctor next week, but in the meantime Im wondering if I should be concerned about having this kind of localized pain and a hard time eating two weeks post op?
1 Month Post - large anatomical chin implant. Bottom lip, right side, is still numb. When my PS pokes it, I can feel it, but it's not 100%. When I eat, or when I yawn really big and the lip is stretched, I get a tingling, burning sensation. I can feel the implant is a little higher on the right side, not by much, and you can't see it. Feels like the implant is a bit higher and closer to the root of my tooth. The right side is the only side that doesn't feel normal, like the left. Is this normal?
I am 2 weeks post op after chin augmentation. At my 10 day follow up, the surgeon said the implant wasn't flat against the bone on the right side, and put a little pressure on it to get it to conform. I felt sharp pain when he pushed it, and have felt intermittent sharp pain since, particularly when smiling or when eating. I have to stop myself from smiling too wide or I feel sharp pain. There is also bruising that won't heal where the implant is separated from the bone. Normal or nerve damage?
I had a chin implant 4 weeks ago. When I eat solid food, there is one spot on the right edge of my face & neck (in other words, on the bone) that gets sore. I'm not talking about eating corn on the cob or anything hard, but a sandwich or a cookie, etc. A few days ago, the pain moved an inch closer to my chin, again on the edge. As of today, it's gone back to the original spot. For what it's worth, pain medication (one ibuprofen) gets rid of the pain.
