I'm almost exactly a month post op, after 2 weeks my face looked normal, there was no pain and my external sutures fell off. It's felt like it's been 100% for the past 2 weeks. Last night through today, I do feel discomfort. It feels as though one side is bruised with some minimal swelling. The tenderness can be felt around the incision points and at the base of my cheekbone, next to my nose. Is this normal? Should I be worried? What complications can occur this late?
Hi! I had "buccal" fat removal one month ago (the surgeon removed 1/3 of the fat). But I m not sure that he took really the buccal fat away. Because it seems to be too high where he operated to be the buccal fat & I think that it's rather the malar fat (he made the incision under the upper lip and not near the molar teeth as the usual practice) Is it possible that the doctor made a mistake? Please answer to my question. Ps: sorry for my bad english :S
I had buccal fat removal + chin and cheek lipo over a month ago in Mexico. The sides of my cheeks and my chin are super lumpy and hard. Ive done therapeutic ultrasound, lymphatic massage and muscle release massage with little difference. Is this permanent fibrosis? Is there anything else I could try? Thanks
It's been a month since my buccal fat removal. And I appreciate the response I got from doc Mesa re the concern I have and he was right I started working out a week after my surgery. Thats why my face seemed to be back to its normal size. Should I stop working out now cause of that? but its been a month now. I'll still wait for my face to look better in 2 months hopefully. There still is a change in my face but not that much. What procedure should I have if my cheeks look fat when i smile?
4 weeks ago I had Buccal fat removal through liposuction vs normal Buccal mucosa incision . My lower part of my cheeks are swollen and feel numb and hurt if I touch them. I am unable to sleep on my side because I will have a burning sensation where I still have swelling I can feel lumps .Not sure if is nerve damage ? swelling? Or infection?
