I would like my procedure to be covered by insurance. I have BCBS of Michigan and I am 23 years old. I have a size 34 G chest. I have had 6+ months of Physical therapy, it didnt help. I hav gone to a chiropractor, I've taken rash creams for my rashes. I have tried losing weight, the weight wouldn't leave my chest. I have back, neck, and shoulder pain from my chest. I can't breath with my large chest in bed, I get pinched nerves, indents in shoulders. Do I have a good case?
I am 1 week away from being 6mpo from my breast reduction surgery. Everything at first was going great but then at about 1mpo i started to develop an indent on one of my breasts. My surgeon said it would go away. I saw him at my 4mpo appt where he told me it wouldn't go away and that it was because the breast tissue ended there and the rest was fat, the indent makes that breast look way smaller and i have two big side boobs now. One breast is also still square and has not rounded out at all
I had a 30/32G before I had my breast reduction surgery. After, the breasts settled and I am still experiencing problems: rashes, indentations, and bras do not fit. I am still TOO big for my body. I am at a full D cup, still with a fairly small frame/back. I got horrible news where my surgeon said she would have to do a free nipple graft to take a few more inches off. I am no doctor but that seems ridiculous! It is still a lot of breast meat to take off, can one do the same anchor procedure?
I am 5 foot 9 and about 190 pounds. I went from a 36F to a 36 DDD bra size wise, but had 540 and 560 grams removed. Wished it had been much more:) Healing went well other than the slight dog ears on the sides, and the indent down the center of my left breast. PS Says he will fix that, but is waiting. Can anyone tell me what that might entail? What are procedures to resolve this?
Hello there! Im 52, 170 pounds, with 36DDD breasts. United Healthcare has approved my breast reduction. I have very heavy breasts that have caused permanent indents in my shoulders from bras. When I go running I usually wear two or three sports bras. I dont want to have small breasts. I just want less weight and pull. I would like to have full, perky breasts for once in my life. What will my size be after my reduction of taking the minimum amount out?
18 days post op and today I noticed this indentation. Its not super visible but I feel it .i dont know if this is concerning .The area it is sore and near it is hard , the doctor said the hardness was probably a old blood clot she wasnt concerned.my doctor is closed on the weekends and Im just feeling concerned I dont know if this will go away if its just swelling causing this indent or what it is but id hate it to stay . Anyone familiar with this?
So I have BCBS of LA and understand that a breast reduction is considered an exclusion from all policies. I don't quite understand this since it is just as much a medical necessity as a lot of things covered. I had the gastric sleeve a few years ago (also not covered by BCBS) and have lost a little over 80lbs. Even before then, my breasts bothered me. I'm in a 36F, I have the indentions in my shoulders, hump on my back & problems. Is there anything that can be done to get coverage?
I had a stitch abscess here at 2 months post op. I am now almost 4 months post op and I am not liking the way it looks. It looks bruised and indented. I have an appointment with my surgeon in 2 weeks but would like to have other opinions.
I live in British Columbia and have an appointment to see about a breast reduction. I get a lot of pain in my upper back and on one side of my ribs. I've had larger breasts all my life. I'm 5-6 and weigh 155. I'm a D cup. Will I be covered in British Columbia for a reduction? I do have indents in my shoulders and was approved in Ontario a year ago BUT moved to BC before the surgery. I would like to go to a large B or small C.
