Surgery with Dr. Rankin @ Aqua Plastic Surgery After waiting over 18 months, I finally had my saline implants (placed in 2006, under the muscle, 330cc overfilled to 400+) removed by Dr. Rankin and his amazing team. Lauren (my concierge) made the process seamless—even traveling 10+ hours away was stress-free. Surgery day was smooth thanks to Tasha & Betsy, who kept me calm and confident. I was first case at 6 AM, opted for a nerve block + IV hydration, and was out in just 3.5 hrs. ZERO pain—Tylenol only! Minimal bruising, drains felt “funny” but not painful. (Take the arnica, trust me ). At 1.5 weeks out, I can breathe again, my fatigue + inflammation are gone, and I feel aligned with my health goals. Do your research! I explanted (11yr old, 325cc under muscle) with a lift just this morning and I cannot recommend Dr Rankin and his team enough! Dee (patient liason) was patient and answered all the questions from the beginning as I was still learning about BII. I was floored that she even came to meet me before my 6am surgery to see how i was feeling and have a chance to meet after hours on the phone. She is honestly an incredible human aside from work and all she has done to protect women against BII. She understood my financial concerns and found an appointment within 3 weeks that allowed a fee to be waived. Because it was so quick, there wasnt really time for a consult with Rankin but he still took the effort to call me 2 days before surgery for any questions and really just give me a chance to know his vibe and feel comfortable on his table and I can confidently say he is as kind a man as Dee said. He even has a homestead with donkeys and a proper respect for nature. His hands were warming during our prep work and his bedside manner was wonderful. He was able to slightly indicate how much natural breast tissue i had before surgery but made it clear 12mo in normal for full results and im confident I will love them. And if I need repairs or fat transfers, he'll be doing them Marina in office was super helpful in understanding my paperwork, getting it submitted in such a short time, and made using care credit simple. The day before, nurse Lauren called with lots of prep info and the morning of, was very thorough and empathetic to how i'd be feeling and made me feel very comfortable. Adele, anesthesiologist, had gentle hands and the iv was a breeze. She prayed over me before surgery after I mentioned how much I had been praying asking my church back home to lift me up to Yahweh Rapha and it honestly brought tears to my eyes. I had the nerve blocker and aprx 12hrs after removal, I feel amazing. My eczema already looks like it does after a month of diligent healing efforts. My head is clear despite being under anesthesia this morning. And I have a brain clarity that I didnt even notice i was missing, despite living completely non-tox on a rural homestead. I am so happy I made this choice but I am thrilled I chose Dr Rankin and his team One tip i highly recommend ladies is loose dresses, skirts and PONCHOS. Its all i brought and i'm already so grateful because it makes clothes a breeze since lifting your arms or reaching behind you is VERY difficult right off the bat

In 2017, I had my breast implants explanted by Dr. David Rankin, and it was truly life-changing. From the very first consultation, Dr. Rankin was the only doctor who never gaslighted me about my symptoms. He listened, answered all of my questions, and made both me and my husband feel completely reassured about the process. His staff and concierge team were also amazing—so kind, accommodating, and supportive, which made me feel at ease every step of the way. During the consultation, Dr. Rankin discussed the option of a lift. My husband told him, “I’ll let you make the decision. If you think she needs it—I want you, as the surgeon, to do what will look best.” Dr. Rankin made the right call, and he left me looking naturally beautiful. I went from a double D to a beautiful full B, and I couldn’t be happier with how natural and balanced I look. The results went far beyond appearance. The moment my implants were removed, all of my symptoms disappeared. Hello, Today August 11th, i had my breast explant procedure with Dr. Rankin. Dr Rankin is knowledgeable, straight forward and kind. He has a wonderful way of easing your fears and making you feel so comfortable. I was a ball of nerves when I entered the facility. As you can imagine, the choice to take out my implants was not an easy one to make. I wanted to share some good news. The back pain that I've had for so many years is gone. I had such a wonderful experience with everyone ! The nurse was great and my anesthesiologist gave me something to relax me which I really appreciated. My nerves were getting this best of me this morning. I can not wait to continue to heal and ultimately share my journey with others. The surgery went well. I did opt for getting the nerve block (numbs your pain for about three days). I highly recommend it. Just a few short months ago I was crying myself to sleep wondering if I would ever feel "better" again. I had a laundry list of BII symptoms. The two most notable symptoms were "feeling like I was dying" and back pain that was ungodly. Both have immediately gone away. Thank you God ! I did visit other surgeons in my area (New Jersey) and I was not able to find anyone who believed that BII was a real thing. I was gaslit, I was made fun of, and the doctors did not think it was imperative to perform a full capsulectomy. One doctor said "Ill take out what I can" which simply did not sit well with me. While I recognize this procedure must be challenging, I really wanted someone who was committed to doing everything in thier power to remove everything that was making me sick. I knew I had to find someone who did not think I was crazy, someone who believed in BII. Dr. Rankin was an answered prayer. He was recommended to my by my friend who also had an explant surgery with him. She explained that he no longer performs breast implant surgery. He only performs explant procedures. That really stood out to me. Dr. Rankin understands the importance of performing a full en bloc procedure and removing the entire capsule that grows over the implant. Following my procedure, the nurses showed my mom photos from the surgery including photos of my entire capsules. Dr. Rankin and his staff are very transparent and committed to excellence. Hace 7 dias tuve mi explantacion, dr rankin acaba de removerme los drenajes hoy, no puedo decir que ha sido facil o sera, este es un preoceso largo pero estoy mas que feliz con el dr que escogí , inicialmente habia ido a ver otros dos doctores y me habia decidido por otro cirujano, pk dr rankin tenia una larga lista de espera, me asuste mucho con las cosas que me dijo q podian pasar ya ya que fumaba. me asuste mucho pero decidida y con fecha para operarme y deposito dado me hize una mamografía en cual salio que tenia una masa, una biopsia fue ordenada, la cual salio negativa pero la oncologa me ordeno esperar 6 meses y en enero me llamaron de el otro cirujano para devolverme el dinero y asi pense en llamar a dr rankin fui a su consulta y tenia varios dias disponibles a varios meses de la consulta y asi escoji el día, 4 meses despues de consultarme, el tiempo de dios es perfecto y aunque hace solo una semana de mi operacion y tengo un largo camino por recorrer me siento mas que agradecida con dr rankin y su team, con el resultado tambien estoy mas que feliz aunque estan chiquitas estan bien proporcionas y a pesar que estoy sanando me siento mas liviana mas libre mas yo, me siento que no hay nada extrano adentro de mi halandome que era la senacion que tenia en mi seno derecho, sin mencionar que cada vez que me acostaba sentia que me ahogaba con esas enormes cosas, ponerme implantes fue el peor error en mi vida y quitarmelos fue una de las decisiones maa dificiles que he tomado y nuevamente quiero agradecerle a dr ranking por su dedicacion educando a la comunidad….. I had my explantation 7 days ago, Dr. Rankin just removed my drains today. I can't say that it has been easy or will be, this is a long process but I am more than happy with the Dr. I chose. Initially I had gone to see two other doctors and I had decided on another surgeon because Dr. Rankin had a long waiting list. I was very scared with the things he told me could happen since I smoked. I was very scared but determined and with a date for surgery and a deposit given, I had a mammogram which showed that I had a mass, a biopsy was ordered which came out negative but the oncologist told me to wait 6 months and in January they called me from the other surgeon to return my money and so I thought about calling Dr. Rankin. I went to his consultation and he had several days available several months before the consultation and so I chose the day, 4 months after consulting me, God's timing is perfect and although it has only been a week since my surgery and I have a long way to go, I feel more than grateful to Dr. Rankin and his team, with the results I am also more than happy although they are small they are well proportioned and despite the fact that I am healing I feel lighter, freer, more like myself. I feel like there is nothing strange inside me pulling at me, which was the sensation I had in my right breast, not to mention that every time I lay down I felt like I was suffocating with those huge things. Getting implants was the worst mistake of my life and removing them was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. Once again, I want to thank Dr. Ranking for his dedication to educating the community….

1000/10 surgeon. Top notch & professional, caring, bedside mannerism are the best I’ve ever experienced. He truly cares for his patients and is not in it for the money, you genuinely feel his kindness and his charismatic aura and heart. My experience was amazing and if I had to go back and do it all over again, I would. In a heartbeat. I recommend to anyone who is looking for an explant, you will TRULY be in good hands. The nursing staff was so sweet and funny, a lot of them have had an explant themselves, which makes it even more special because they know what you’re going through. The anesthesiologist was the best, she was one of my favorites there, I loved her— so sweet & comforting. Dr. Rankin truly listens to your concerns and you feel safe in his hands, for me this was the best doctor I’ve ever spoken to & experienced. Genuinely an angel who is helping women improve and take their health back. This was a blessing to be taken into their care, I’m almost 3 weeks post explant & I already feel so much better and lighter. If you’re able to explant, BOOK & DO IT. You will NOT regret it, I promise!!!! 10000/10 recommend endlessly!!!!

I love my end results and feel so much better after my explant, lift, & fat transfer. I had right arm numbness, migraines and neck pain that totally went away after surgery. Dr Rankin is very knowledgeable & kind! I am thankful for him and his team! I am 5'5 & 130lbs
