Women heal when they are heard! A dear friend shared this with me and it is TRUTH!
2 years ago I went to Texas (from Florida) for removal of my implants. Having two children under 4 it was not the easiest decision but I knew I had to have them removed asap. I knew with my support team I could get it done.
Roughly 8 months after my surgery I noticed a hardness around my left pectoral muscle. Many messages, phone calls, videos, and pictures were sent to the office in Texas. Every reply I was minimized of my concerns and each passing few weeks it was getting larger. After 3 months I decided to reach out to a patient advocate… she immediately referred me over to Dee Hicks. Dee works for Dr. Rankin at Aqua Plastic Surgery in Jupiter. Three minutes into our first phone call I felt like she was hugging me through the phone. I felt HEARD! UNDERSTOOD! and knew I was on the right path for recovery. ?????
When we hung up the phone we had a plan, there was ACTION! I started collecting all documents and images of my chest so I could meet Dr. Rankin and have any questions and concerns answered. within such a reasonable time they got me scheduled. I appreciate communication when working with any office!
When my appointment came to meet Rankin I was blown away at how peaceful the entire process was. Checking in was smooth and front desk is AWESOME! To-date every time I call someone answers- when is the last time you can say that about an office?
Dr. Rankin is so professional and so easy to talk to. We figured out what was going on with me. I had a seroma and it needed to be removed. The fluid has sat there so long that a capsule formed around it. Ta-da!! Something was wrong.
Dr. Rankin listens and speaks to you as a friend. Using language and explains as though you don’t know- because most of us don’t and understanding is important! Asking doctors questions can be so intimidating- not with Rankin. His presence is so welcoming. He heard my concerns… and he made my concerns his. They got me on the schedule as soon as they could. Day of surgery was excellent. Tausha, THE nurse- she’s phenomenal. I felt confident and comfortable going into surgery.
I am day three post and I have had multiple check-ins and I feel knowledgeable in what was done to me and what I need to do to heal the best possible.
