The first 3 months I was taking 30mg once a day. This past month I am taking 20mg twice a day. I had pretty moderate acne. Since they upped my dosage to twice a day, I have had such awful side effects, even worse than when I first started. I even took time off work because my back pain was so bad. I am prescribed to take another 2 months. I even missed my window to pick up my medication so I have to start the whole process over again if I actually want to pick it up.
So at my 2 month check up on accutane I was telling my doctor about the sharp lower back pains Ive been having. She said if it persists she might have to take me off of it. I guess my question is, why? My pain subsides with ibuprofen so I guess Im just not understanding the severity of some back pain. Any help?
I have been on Accutane for 2 months. Since then I have noticed while doing exercises like deadlifts and squats I get lower back pain . I know my form is correct and My lower hurts only for around 10 seconds after the exercise. Is this a possible side effect?
I have been taking accutane for 5 days now. I started experiencing back pain on the third day along with dryness. I know dryness is usual but, i thought back pain, and joint pain came later. Over the past two days it has gotten increasingly worse and now i can feel it in my neck. Will this go away in a few weeks? should i be worried? (I am taking 80mg a day)
Ive been taking isotretinoin daily dose 20 mg for 2-3 weeks and ive been getting this painful lower back pain after i stand up after having bent over for half a minute or more and also i get the pain when im lying down straight on my back, but only when i do those 2 things i get the pain so far. Im worried of this being permanent or something if i stay on the drug.
I have been on Isotretinoin for about 3 months. I was taking 60 mg but my joint pain was so bad I could hardly walk. I went down to 30 mg but now I have lower back pain and muscle spasms. This is my 3rd medication to clear my skin (i'm 42) but i'm not sure I can keep taking this. Is all this normal?
I'm a 28 year old female in the middle of my 3rd month on Accutane (first month: 40mg, second and third month: 60mg). So far the only side effect I've had is the dry lips and skin but last week I was just getting ready for bed and my back buckled, and I fell to the ground on my knees. Since then, I can't bend over and I'm in a lot of pain - it's been 5 days of this. I'm assuming it's the accutane because there's absolutely nothing else I can think of. My dermatology checkup is tomorrow.
I herniated my disc in 2019 and have been visiting a spine surgeon over the years. Currently, in 2022, my herniation has mostly resorbed but my disc remains degenerated. Unfortunately I still have pain in my back and legs. The surgeons are suggesting I wait, and over time my back should stabilize and the pain should subside. My dermatologist has also suggested accutane to help treat my body acne. Would this be a bad idea with my disc injury. I think it could take years to stabilize
