Zoom whitening is a teeth-bleaching procedure performed in a dentist's office. After a hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the teeth, an overhead lamp delivers UV light to the area, breaking down the activated gel. This allows oxygen to enter the enamel and dentin, bleaching the colored substances while leaving the structure of the teeth intact. Some users experience comfortable procedures, while others have reported a great deal of pain. Treatments typically last about an hour and may result in up to eight shades of improvement. LEARN MORE ›

Had the most painful side effects after a procedure I've ever experienced. Would not recommend this. First off my gums were shielded. Had a slight burn & the dental assistant adjusted the shielding. That went away. But it was afterwards, within 30 min. of walking out of the office,... READ MORE

Prior to having the zoom 3 whitening procedure performed by my dentist, I did much research and read MANY reviews. All but a few described extreme pain. But, having coffee stained yellow teeth and only being 30 I went for it anyways. At the dentist the hygentist performed the entire procedure... READ MORE

I bought a Groupon for $40, which they marked as redeemed and then additionally charged my card $100! The technician promised me it would be dealt with and referred me to "human resources" which never returned any of my calls or refunded the money they STOLE. Groupon is still working with them... Let me start off by saying that you cannot even imagine the pain that comes from the Zoom Whitening. Before the procedure the dentist's exact words to me were 'you may feel a little bit of sensitivity in one or two teeth'... This didn't worry me because I don't suffer from sensitive teeth and... So, I like many others did my research before having this procedure done. I read all over the place that many people experience some form of sensitivity for the first 24 hours. I was prepared....I thought. I only made it 3 out of the 4 15 minute sessions before having to stop. My teeth starting... READ MORE

I have been looking into whitening for a long time. I have normal everyday staining from being a coffee drinker and just wanted to brighten my smile. I was about an A1 on the color chart which is about as light as most people get naturally. My results were admittedly stunning. The... READ MORE

I had the Zoom treatment today. I used the Prevadent toothpaste 2x/day for 3 weeks before my appointment. The process was great. 4 15 min applications. No problem. They were shocked by how white my teeth were, as was I. (AT LEAST 8 shades). Left at 4:00pm. Around 6:30 the pain started. Holy... READ MORE

I did Zoom for the first time a year ago, and my teeth remained white, but def. had a lot more significant staining over time (esp. between bottom teeth). I drink a lot of coffee. My teeth were not as white as they used to be. I needed some improvement! On the day I had my braces removed, I opted for a thorough teeth cleaning and the ZOOM whitening. I was already nervous that after being in braces for 3 years I would have spots where the braces were, this was not the case. So I didn't expect to see those little triangles when the ZOOM procedure... READ MORE

I went through the pain of having this procedure done, teeth were aching for 24 hours. I was extremely careful to only eat white foods and water.
