I am from Phoenix, AZ. How much should a revision rhinoplasty with little bone trimming, and some cartilage removal / restructuring cost in US$ terms? I am a male. While I am quite happy with my nose, I do have some extra cartilage on the left side of my nose more than my right. While I have lived with it all these years, I am contemplating rhinoplasty as I have time on my side for recovery. I hope not to head again for any corrective surgery. It almost seems like if that little extra cartilage can be removed from left side of my nose, I would be just fine. I am quite fine with the tip of my nose.

Answer: Cost of a revision rhinoplasty It would be cheaper to go back to your original surgeon--assuming he is capable of performing a revision surgery which is usually more difficult than the original surgery. I revise my patients for free with a small facility and anesthesia fee if needed. Without seeing your pictures or examining you in person, I can't quote an exact price. But depending on the degree of difficulty I would probably charge somewhere between $4000 to $10,000 for a revision. From what you describe, it sounds like a minor revision, but nothing is ever simple with a rhinoplasty.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Revision rhinoplasty is just a general term that could be applied to variety of surgeries with different complexities and skill demand. Sometimes just a small maneuver is all that is needed to deliver the goal, versus other times a whole lengthy reconstructive surgery with multiple grafts such as rib or ear cartilage will be in order. In general, revisions are roughly around 1.5 times more expensive than primary nose jobs, as they demand more skills, and time. In US, the price range could vary from 8-10K in less expensive geographic areas up to 30K in more popular practices and cities. Unfortunately, there is no good correlation between the price and skill set as many other factors can play a role, thus due diligence on researching the credentials and a solid photo gallery is key in finding the best fit for you.
