Robert M. Jensen, MD answers: Will 250-275cc Silicone breast implant result in a C cup?

I am getting Breast Augmentation done in 2 weeks. I am currently a 32A cup 5'2" 105 lbs and I would like to be a C cup.

My surgeon is talking about placing a 250-275 cc Silicone breast implant. Do you think that will get me to be a C cup?

A general rule of thumb is that for every 175 to 200cc of implant volume equals an increase in one cup size.  Therefore, to get an increase in 2 cup sizes you would need an implant aproximately 350 to 400cc.  If  availble, I would ask to look at some sizers and try them on.  I think that is the best way to get an idea of what you'll like.  Focus on the look you like rather than a cup size.
