Hisham Seify, MD, PhD answers: Can Brazilian Butt Lift be combined with Tummy Tuck or Lipo?

Can I combine the Brazilian Butt Lift with Tummy Tuck and Liposuction? If not, which one should I get first?

In a healthy patient a tummy tuck could be combined with fat transfer to the buttocks (Brazilian lift). You have to remember that if a tummy tuck was performed as a first stage, a large amount of fat will be removed and it will be not be available for later use. Hope that helps!

A: Tummy Tuck with Brazilian Butt Lift

It is sometimes a benefit to have a tummy tuck along with the brazilian butt lift.  I these cases a lot more fat can be removed because the area where the tummy tuck is to be performed can be liposuctioned aggressively since the skin would be removed and there is no concern for skin dimpling.

So the procedure would go with liposuction of the abdomen and hips while on your back.  You would be turned to do more sculpting and liposuction with the fat grafting to the gluteals.  You would be finally turned supine again for the tummy tuck portion.

Good luck.
