Hi, everyone. I'm new here. I decided to have WLS earlier this year but was undecided on which procedure to have. I went back and forth several times before finally deciding on the DS. My surgery is on Wednesday, Dec. 2. I'm a little nervous but also excited about the future. I'm looking forward to feeling and looking better. I'm 28 months out from my surgery date,11-05-2007. The first year was pretty good. lost a ton of weight. Year 2 was harder for me emotionally. I was on an emotional roller coaster. I had a highly experienced surgeon in New Jersey.He is absolutely excellent. No complaints there. Very little pain following surgery,I returned to work after 10 days. Mine was all in the head.
