I Have been visiting Dr. Bowes' place for three years more or less. Since I started my treatment there my Rosacea problem stopped bothering me. This place is wonderful,and I want to recomend Dr. Zuzel Gascon, who is the specialist that has been taking care of me since I started because of many reasons. Zuzel is the kind of professional who shows what she is and what she knows from the very first visit, besides that she is kind and lovely, she knows how to lead the patient through the right path to get to the solution of the skin problem you might have. She gets right to the point in a minute therefore you do not waist your time in there. I will strongly recomend Zuzel Gasscon as one of the best in the Bowes Team. Mr. Jose termes. I have been going to Dr Bowes for over 10 years. I have rosacea, and wanted to work on small wrinkes around my eyes. I now get IPL, Juviderm and Botox. She is an excellent doctor. I always ask for minimal and natural looking results, and I get them!! I have seen her practice grown over this period of time. Much deserved!!!

Updated on 26 Nov 2014: I am updating my review because I actually met with the doctor. She was great. She addressed my initial concerns over my botox treatment and even addressed other issues I was having with my skin.

I went for a facial and a chemical peel.the price was reasonable and the staff, service was great!. I am going to go back for a photo facial and a fraxel laser done in the future . I recommend this place for everyone . My skin looks great and looks so much better . For even normal to dry also I recommend this place . They also have cool scalping for unwanted fat. It removes fat by freezing the fat in your body and it removes natural from the body like a melting affect.

I have been coming to Bowes Dermatology for a little over a year. First I came to remove an annoying bulge off at below my bra, they recommended CoolSculpting. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about it, i didn't believe how you could "freeze the fat" and then your body will get rid of it. The initial consultation and treatment was done by Carla, she is very knowledgeable and professional. After probably 3 months I loved the results, everybody noticed it. Then, I decided to jump to injectables, it was the first time ever I did something on my face. Dr Bowes recommended a combination of fillers and Botox to refresh my appearance. That was probably a year ago or so. The results were amazing, definitely about 10 or 15 years younger. I didn't even know my face was so droopy! Now I came back 2 months ago, I wanted to touch up my face and get rid of the fat on my arms and thighs. I highly recommend this office, they are very friendly and you feel like part of a family. And the best if all is that everything I had done there works. I am happy with my results on my face and body.

I highly recommend Dr. Bowes. I recently had fillers and Botox and had a wonderful experience. She has been doing my daughter's injections for years so I finally had the courage to go in and be seen. I am so happy that I finally did it. Not only is Dr. Bowes highly educated, she is caring, and very gentle, taking her time with you and answering questions in detail. I had Radiesse injected as well as Juvaderm. I am thrilled at the results and how natural it looks. I was hesitant to do Botox but now I am line free. I am so happy to be a patient of Dr. Bowes The parking is easy. I used the valet at Mercy Hospital and it was hassle free. The location is great, right in Coconut Grove off US1 and easy to get to. The office is BEAUTIFUL, the suites are extremely comfortable and you can enjoy a beautiful water view, and navigate the internet while you are there. The suites are fully equipped with large flat screen tvs, Netflix, Pandora and WiFi. Refreshments such as tea, coffee and water are constantly offered by the secretaries. It was like a SPA day, but only BETTER !!!!

I made my appointment for Botox (as well as for Juvederm) and saw one of the doctor's P.A.'s who answered ALL my questions before my treatment. She listened to all my concerns and had a wonderfully patient and warm disposition. The rest of the doctor's staff were great as well. We decided to be very conservative with the injections to my mild forehead and frown lines. The areas were first marked with white eye liner pencil at each injection site. Ice was applied for about 3-5 seconds on each injection site before I received the injection. For me the injections felt like pin pricks with a little "warm" sensation as well. I was so anxious and nervous I forgot to ask how many units of Botox were used in each area. (This is important to me because I paid $250.00 per area as opposed to per unit, so I may not be getting as much benefit from Botox as say a man in his 50's with pronounced lines.) I was instructed to not bend or lay down for about 4 hours. I also, based on doctors' answers on RealSelf, "worked out" my brow and forehead muscles for about an hour so the Botox would "bind" to the areas I needed it to work on. Also, based on my treating specialist as well as doctors' answers on Real Self, I should be seeing the effects between 3-7 days. I'll post an update then on whether I feel I need a touch-up or not. I hope my post helps other newbies. Updated on 25 Nov 2013: I received 22.5 units of Botox on my forehead and my glabellar lines six weeks ago. I saw results approximately 6 days later. My forehead had no wrinkles. My glabellar lines were still very prominent. I went in for a touch up two weeks after my initial treatment and received 10 units of Botox to my glabellar lines only. It's been six weeks since my initial procedure and four weeks since my touch up. My forehead still looks amazing. Unfortunately, my glabellar lines are back. I'm really disappointed about this and not quite sure if to attribute this to super strong muscles, insufficient Botox in the area or the injector's technique. Updated on 3 Dec 2013: I called the doctor's office on Monday, November 25th concerned that my glabellar lines were still visible less than one month after my touch-up. The lady who answered my call said it was highly unlikely that I would be seen again for another touch-up but that she would check with the doctor. Thankfully, the doctor's office called me back to say Dr. Cray would see me the next day. She examined me and decided to inject more units of Botox to the frown line area (the forehead is perfectly fine). Dr. Cray mentioned she will be checking-up on me within a week or so. She's going to monitor my results from the additional units because she'd like to narrow down the possible reasons that may have caused my frown lines to reappear so quickly after my treatment (on average Botox lasts between 3-4 months). Whatever the case may be, I appreciate her attention and care. Great care from a health care professional, even if it is for an optional cosmetic procedure. A+

The rest of the doctor's staff were great as well. I had numbing cream applied for an hour on my nasolabial folds and the corners of my mouth. I had 1 syringe of Juvederme Ultra XC applied in these areas. The injections felt like pin pricks. Not bad at all. Five hours later, I LOVE how my nasolabial fold lines disappeared completely. I'm not loving the corners of my mouth. Something funky is going on with my right side when I smile. No biggie since I can always have some dissolved if necessary when I have my follow-up in 2 weeks.

I visited Bowes Dermatology with a concern about my skin health and to improve (lift) the corners of my mouth (which was giving me a tired, sad look). The staff was excellent in their customer care skills and the doctor was great. I had a detailed skin examination and was prescribed a nice thorough regimen for my sensitive skin. performed Restylane inDr. Bowes also jections to lift the corners of my mouth. They did numb me with a super Strong numbing cream prior to the procedure, so the injections were not that uncomfortable at all. I am thrilled at what this filler did to my facial image and how it lifted the corners of my mouth. Dr. Bowes' technique was artistic and highly skilled. Very happy with the overall process and give it five stars (despite a little bit of a wait to see the doctor, around 20 minutes).

I was concerned about the look of my hands, which I thought I hadn't taken care of as much as I should. After a couple Laser treatments with Fraxel, I must say they look fantastic...They put this numbing cream that makes all the process easy, everything is explained in detail and I even got all the necessary creams I needed to use after my laser.
