Very Happy with my Tummy Tuck Results

Dr. Carr is very experienced and made me feel at ease about everything. Hes down to earth as a human and also very professional.. didnt talk me into anything either I considered a breast lift as well and he was honest and told me I didnt need it at this time but he would do it if I really wanted to. The way he lipoed my, "side boob," looks like I did get my breasts done. He changed my life with my tummy tuck truly, I had twins at 18 and was left with a lot of loose skin after them and had another large baby at 22 with a c section.

28 Yr 3 Kids Tummy Tuck and Breast Fat Transfer

Day 2 po pain is manageable with meds. Had an amazing streamlined experience. I’m feeling tight today and even though covered by bandages I can see my contours and slim figure, even with all the swelling. I did get some new stretch marks around my belly button but I was expecting worse since before I had stretch marks hip to hip and up above my belly a few inches. My scar placement is super low which was a huge factor in my dr selection. I haven’t seen the shape of it yet but am confident I will be happy with it! Would 100% recommend dr Carr. Everyone at the clinic is so personable and made me feel as complete ease. Updated on 18 Mar 2020: I’ve found not much swelling in my legs (if at all), think the compression socks and constant feet movements are helping with that. Keeping on top of pain meds has been hard due to coronavirus. Drugstores are taking forever to fill prescriptions and I needed a refill. I’ve been using Tylenol and noticed the muscle tightening is more “painful” than the cut itself. Also a bit of annoyance at the drain sites. The worst part is trying to check the drains for clots, it’s hard to touch near the skin and I find it keeps trying to suction everything the other way. Anyone have tips for this? I had a quiz due tonight and am thankful I bought a little lap table with extendable legs. Works like a charm and allows me to do work on my laptop etc. Bandages came off today, here’s one if just the belly button showing. Have a ton of swelling underneath it looks a lot flatter when I’m out of the recliner. I’m hoping it all flattens out with time Updated on 18 Mar 2020: Here’s the full pic sitting in a recliner. The drain sites are quite low which I like because I’m not being bothered by the sides of the chairs. I had to undo the bottom of my bra because the band was so tight with the swelling. Trying to keep the across portion tight though. Still very swollen breasts and very bruised.

Not for the Fainthearted

The doctor and his staff are great. They have state of the art processes and respond to pager and office calls well. I had a tummy tuck and BBA, no lift, 6 days ago. I was not able to tolerate the pain meds AND I did not have enough support at home because of a parents' sudden illness in the middle of my recovery. What I wanted to tell people is that the process of recovery should not be minimized. There are drains which require constant monitoring and management. There is pain and swelling that is quite debilitating. The change in appearance of my breasts is taking me time to get used to. If I had this to do again, I would not have done it.

Life changing revision rhinoplasty

I was never a fan of my nose.. When I was a teenager I got the opportunity to see a surgeon about my nose he said I had deviated septum and would fix it for me for as-well as make my nose smaller all for free... (who does that??) I was on realself researching looking at before and after photos night and day. I was ecstatic! Although I could never find one review from him.. or even a website. (Strange) Basically what happened I feel is I was a science experiment to practice on I’m not sure. But my nose was horrible. I was botched ! So much bridge was taken out my nose was droopy and so strange looking! My face looked really unhappy all the time because of it. Finally a few years later I went for a consult with Dr.Carr and decided to go through with revision rhinoplasty with him. I’m not even sure how he did it but he made my nose a million times better. I was so happy with it, it was really life changing with my confidence. I used to think everywhere I went everyone was looking at my nose and judging me because it was so ugly. It was really terrible and having those thoughts never cross my mind again is so freeing. I do have thick skin so I continued to see him for 2/3 years after for some kenalog shots here and there which really help with the thick skin. What I like is he doesn’t give any false hope if he can’t do something he will say that’s not possible and explain why. I want to have another rhinoplasty I wouldn’t call it a revision because my 2nd nose job was a real revision. I now just want some little things adjusted. Basically I just feel like my nose doesn’t look the same since 1-2 years post op which I really liked! I had thick skin and maybe my nose grew I’m not sure but I don’t believe it’s related to my surgery why my nose changed since my nose looked really perfect in my opinion after my surgery. So that’s why I am going back to Dr.Carr again. The pictures I post were my results 6 months to 2 years post op I believe.

49 Breast Lift and Abdominoplasty - Vancouver, BC

My 50 birthday is looming and I have never been happy with the level of floppy my breast have been exhibiting since I was 16. Despite never having kids, I have always had loose belly skin. I am looking forward to not wearing a bra once in awhile, maybe even a backless dress! 13years ago I had liposuction on my tummy. I really should have had a tummy tuck since due to the laxity of my skin. So here goes..two more days, nervous and excited Updated on 24 Mar 2016: I keep forgetting about my breasts since the tummy tuck is really no laughing matter. Updated on 24 Mar 2016: Updated on 25 Mar 2016: Things are looking up. Yesterday's nausea was a bit hard to take, I was very close to vomiting a few times, but it was so painful the meagre contents of my stomach only arrived half way up berfore the plication said we are not doing this.. Updated on 27 Mar 2016: Updated on 27 Mar 2016: Updated on 31 Mar 2016: Oh compression garment, what a difference! I can almost stand up straight. Drains are gone, the first shower has had a rejuvenating effect, I'm almost feeling human. The one drawback being that I have contracted a little virus that is going around and coughing induces a near pass out condition. Updated on 12 Apr 2016: Updated on 30 Apr 2016: I am pretty happy with the healing process with regard to my breast lift. The scars seem to be flattening out nicely. I am wearing my old bras which is interesting, since I thought my breasts would be smaller, they are not! There is considerable numbness in a large section of my abdomen which I am expecting to resolve in the months to come. Can't wait to exercise! Lost 6 pounds since surgery, I'm sure most of that is muscle. 125 pounds now. Updated on 18 Aug 2016: Updated on 18 Aug 2016: Breast lift and tt at months

50 - Lift with Upper Pole Fullness, No Implants. - Vancouver, BC

I have never really liked my breasts and they certainly have not improved with age, fluctuations in weight and pregnancy. Decided that as my 50th birthday present to me I would have a breast lift and began my research. I have spent many hours on Realself and am so grateful to all who have shared here. I realised that there are not many who have lifts without either a reduction or impants, and also that there are not many of my age group, or size/weight, so thought my experience might be helpful to others of our 'vintage'. I am 5'7", 148lbs, a full 36C, but have been a 38D, so my girls are a little more skin than I would like them to be. I first saw a PS in the fall of 2013 and he seemed to think I did not need a lift.... WHAT?! I thought it was pretty obvious! I was really disappointed, I had made up my mind I was going to do this. Then a friend told me that Dr Nick Carr in Vancouver is "THE BEST OF THE BEST", so I booked a consultation with him in November. From the very first contact with his office I was so impressed with the whole team at his clinic, Skinworks. When I first met Dr Carr I knew that he was going to be the PS I would use for this. He told me he would perform the lift I wanted, some lipo on the sides, and would also perform a procedure he called auto-augmentation, which would move tissue from the bottom half of the breast up to the top half, which would give me upper pole fullness without an implant. I was delighted and booked my surgery that same day. I had sufficient volume, I just didn't like where it was.... his solution sounded exactly like what I was looking for. I was SO excited, it seemed like months to wait for my surgery date, Jan 30th 2014. My surgery went really well, I felt great afterwards and have not had much pain. I have had some bruising and swelling on my sides from the liposuction and my breasts are still a little swollen but I am off all pain medication and feeling fantastic. I continue to follow his post op instructions to the letter and am drinking lots of water and a high protein diet. I was given a compression bra to start wearing at 48 hours post op, after removing my dressings and having a shower. I managed to do that on my own including washing my hair. I have been able to do a few things around the house, some cooking, emptying the dishwasher, laundry. I just don't lift anything remotely heavy. I had my first post op on Feb 3rd and will go back on Feb 11th to have my tapes taken off. I have to say that my man has been an absoulte rock and has supported me throughtout the process. I could not have wished for a better nurse! It has been almost a week since my surgery and I am delighted with my results. The auto-augmentation Dr Carr performed has given me great upper pole fullness. Reading other reviews on this site, I think this is a great solution for many of us but I don't see it mentioned on here very much.... I don't think many PS do this process. I will continue to post pics as changes happen and hope that others might find my review to be helpful. Updated on 8 Feb 2014: I loaded photos when submitting my review but they did not post, it seems. Trying again. On Tuesday Feb 11 we go to have the tapes taken off the incisions and I will post more pics then. For now, all is good, except for swelling on the sides which causes some discomfort. I think this is from the lipo. Updated on 16 Feb 2014: Had my tapes taken off on Tuesday and am so happy with the look! I have had lots of swelling, especially on the sides which was uncomfortable, but that has gone down by about 80% now and they are getting better each day. I was told to massage the swelling areas often and it has really helped. I am using Bactroban ointment on my scars twice a day and will start using silicone strips once the scars have healed. See the surgeon again on Jan 26th. A couple of stitches are visible, but not bothering me. Have been feeling really good, but sometimes forget I am still recovering and overdo it.... resulting in feeling like I have been hit by a truck. Loading a couple of new photos. I don't think my size is any different, but they sure look better! :) Updated on 23 Feb 2014: Still very happy with my surgery and recovery. Swelling is almost gone except for a little on my incision sites. It occurred to me the other night that I use a roller after a good workout at the gym, it gives a great massage, so ran off to my garage and rescued my wallpaper roller, only about 1.5" acrose, it the perfect size for massaging my incisions and easy to control the amount of pressure applied! My new best friend! Scars are healing very well, they look worse in these pics than they are, barely noticable in reality. The camera on an iPhone5 is too good! Have started scar therapy with silicone strips. My PS gave me Epi-Derm brand. Does anyone have any other recommentdations? Tried on some of my old bras for fun and was happy to find I still fill them the same, but do not have to rely on them to keep the girls up! Looking forward to summer and being able to wear strappy sundresses and bandeau tops! Have 4 week appt with my PS on Wednesday. Updated on 2 Mar 2014: I had my 4 week check-in with Dr Carr this week. His nurse said I look like I am 3 months post-op, not one! I was so happy to hear that. She removed 3 stitches that were poking out. Swelling has all gone and I am cleared to go back to the gym and to wear pretty bras! :) I am still wearing a sportbra at night, and might continue to do so forever if it will help keep these girls in their new home! Scars are looking really good. I cannot say enough about Dr Carr being an amazing surgeon, my incisions are barely visible already PLUS, he is a really nice man. Wishing happy healing to anyone having surgery this week! Updated on 13 Mar 2014: I think the silicone scar sheets are helping. Dr Carr said I would probably only need to use them for a couple of months. Swelling has all gone and I have been able to sleep on my side for the last week or so. Very, very happy with my new boobs!

Dr Carr and His Staff Are Amazing - Vancouver, BC

Dr. Carr performed the rhinoplasty surgery on March 12, 2013. The surgery is a complete success not only in the outcome, but in terms of the process from initial consultation, through the preparation, the surgery itself, and the follow-up and support. In fact, Dr Carr made himself readily available in the early hours of the morning two days after the surgery when I had an issue with an packing. He met me at the hospital to make sure that I was we'll taken care. Dr Carr and his staff deserve full recognition for their professionalism and their genuine care of their patience. A special note on Dr Carr who, in my opinion is an extremely skilled surgeon with the qualities of an artist for which this combination has proven to surpass my expectations..
