American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery +Board certification in Facial Plastic Surgery indicates that a licensed physician has been certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) through a voluntary process. The ABFPRS requires physicians to meet a defined standard of knowledge, education and training and pass a series of examinations in order to be certified in Facial Plastic Surgery. The ABFPRS also requires physicians to have previously obtained board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in otolaryngology or plastic surgery in order be certified in Facial Plastic Surgery.

"So many plastic surgeons advertising, competing for patients and surgery in Sacramento area, it is hard to cut through the arrogance, the smarmy sweet talk, to find someone you can trust to give you an honest assessment you can really trust.I have met very few doctors who truly impress me but Dr. Tollefson is a rare combination of brilliance and humility. The fact that he is a really nice and interesting guy with sense of humor is frosting on the cake. His office staff are friendly and professional and do a remarkable job with insurance billing."
