I am 2 weeks post extraction. Hole is still open. Pain at night. Still quite severe. Extraction, an infection removed. I had unbelievable pain for 1 week. Dentist said it is infected. Was given antibiotics 5 days, mouthwash, packed clover oil thing. No need for painkillers during the day but when I sleep it hurts just as bad as before.. please tell me it will close! Advise on how to avoid infection..I finished antibiotics course.
its not shown in the pics quite well but i noticed that i cant properly brush/clean my 2nd molars (teeth nearest surgical site) because my inner cheeks seem to be covering the lower side too much. im concerned because i used an interdental to reach those areas & saw faint red streaks on the brush (blood). is it probably just still swelling a bit at this point? was it sutured too tight? (sorry for the cavities, i'll try to get them filled when im fully healed from the wisdom teeth extraction)
