Neuromodulators are basically the Botox,Xeomin, and Dysport. These are the medications that we use for the wrinkles. So the general term for Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport is neuromodulators.

The very first one was Botox. Later on, Dysport, and Xeomin was added to that. They're very similar. Basically they work the same. Fillers are not a preventative measure for wrinkles, however the neuromodulators are a preventative for the wrinkles too. We have patients 20, 21, 22 that start having treatment as a prevention because the wrinkles are caused by muscle contraction. So if you can paralyze the muscle, it cannot contract, then as a result it prevents the wrinkles. You're going to continue your aging however you pick up from that point so you miss ten years of aging in that period of time that you use the neuromodulators.
