Been having increasing pain, swelling over last three days. Today I had a fever, topped at 101.5. Surgeon told me to go to the ER. DX cellulitis associated with my new belly button. The pain is indescribable. Given pain meds but none for home (surgeon refuses to prescribe them) My surgeon was called and he refused to see me in the hospital, told the ER doc it was probably just a seroma, and said I should call tomorrow for an appt. CT results consistent with normal serous fluid post surgery Help
I had my procedure done September 23, 2016. About 8 days after I got a serious infection from the drain site and was admitted back into hospital and a second surgery was done to clean and drain fluid from under the skin. After all of the antibiotics I got C. Diff and was sick for another 3 weeks. It has now been almost 4 months since the initial abdominoplasty and my incision is extremely painful, swollen and red. What happens next? Is it from the surgery?
I had a full tummy tuck on October 20th. I have been doing fantastic so far. The other day my scar flared up over my hip and I went to ER and was diagnosed with cellulitis. I was placed on IV ABX and feel so much better. My problem is now my pubic area is extremely swollen. It also feels as though maybe my pubic area is bruised right along the bones. It's very tender and I am confused as to why this is happening now. Any advice on how to get this swelling and pain gone is much appreciated.
I had a TT with lipo of the flanks. Both sides are red streaked , warm, and swollen. They are tender to lay on but the pain is manageable. I was originally on Keflex and my PS just switched it to Bactrim after he saw them. He said it doesn't really look like cellulitis but he'll treat it as such and watch them. My navel has epidermolysis as well. What's going to happen? WIll I need IV abx? Sorry, i'm an ICU RN and tend to think worst-case-scenario!
