I had tummy tuck in 2016 and I'm happy but recently began working out harder than ever and the more my abdominal muscles show the more these little bumps running up and down my abdomen show. It almost seems as if they are little stitch knots. They don't hurt but I want to know if this is normal?
I am 13 days post-op for tummy tuck to correct diastasic recti & hernia repair. My surgeon removed the dressing so I could see the incision for the first time 3 days ago. I was shocked @ what I saw. I was not expecting so many lumps & bumps. My Dr says this will all smooth out within 3-6 months but I don't see how that's possible. Can you explain if it is normal for an incision to look like this, & how it will smooth out? All pics that I see online look like just a normal line, not all bunchy.
I'm four weeks post op from a full tummy tuck. Over the past few days I've developed an insanely itchy rash (small red bumps) along the outside edge of portions of my incision line. I have not been using any lotions or ointments at all. Is this part of the healing process? What could be going on? I have been using gauze and tape over some areas where some sutures have spit, but the rash isn't only around those areas. It seems odd. Thanks for your answers!
I live in Huntsville Alabama. My stomach sit over my private area. Under the flat it has odor and sometimes get bumps or rashes. Is there a plastic surgery school in the south that offers a discounted tummy tuck
I had a tummy tuck and breast reduction on 11/14. have been using the surgical binder from my tummy tuck and surgical bra all the time except when bathing. I am Day 6 post op and doing great except now developing skin rashes. I switched to a sports bra but for the abdominal binder are there more comfortable alternatives I can to switch to? My skin is sensitive, itchy, and I'm getting itchy rashes that are raised bumps (not near incisions) on my skin from the compression garment (I think)!
Once the baby bump grows and stretches out the skin and muscle, will the sutures rip the muscle since they can't stretch along with everything else? Thank you.
Hello, I had a tummy tuck 4 months ago. I swell in the evening but have a flat tummy in the morning. If i tap the area to look for the waterbed effect it doesn't happen when standing but does a little when lying down. There is also a little white bump which may be a stitch? Looking down looks swollen both day and night however a diet in less salt does make it flatter? Please advise thank you
I am six weeks post op full tummy tuck . Overall my healing process so far has been fairly smooth. but a few days ago noticed these bumps around my incision line. They started from one area right above the pubic area , then spread out along the incision line. They did not itch initially, but started to itch pretty bad couple of days ago. I am not sure if the itching is due to healing or due to the bumps. Any ideas on what these might be? Thank you!
I had a TT 12 wks ago and see my surgeon regularly. Everything has been fine (couple seromas aspirated early on). At 10 wks I felt some bumps in the center under the incision line. Bumps didn't concern me until I began to feel intense pain and burning. It's more pronounced when standing. My surgeon injected it with a steroid. 3 days later, It's still burning. Dr thinks it's scar tissue but couldn't explain the pain. I'd like some Opinions. If a revision is needed, do most doctors charge again?
I have a tummy tuck done three weeks ago and I am having a terrible itch and few red bumps below the incision and in my pubic area. Is that normal and what should I do?
