I had a blood clot roughly 7 years ago after having a D&C. After blood work was performed it was ruled that it occurred from not taking the necessary precautions (getting on a 6 hour car ride immediately after that I slept through). I was placed on blood thinners for about a year. Moving forward I would really like a tummy tuck with lipo. Is this possible and safe? Ive been having a problem finding drs .
Am due for a tummy tuck soon, but am scared of getting a blood clot DVT, my surgeon said they use compression cuffs on the legs, that keep pumping during surgery. After surgery I would be in surgery stockings. Is that normal or should be on blood thinning tablets or some injections? Can I do anything before to prevent DVT.
I am 39 yr old healthy. I want to have a tummy tuck with liposuction on my back planks or love handles. Was wondering whats the chance of me devoloping a blood clot? Are they always fatal? Also a little about me is non smoker and non history of blood clots.
Im 25 years old with 3 children. I had a small pulmonary embolism back in October of 2015 due to birth control. I was put on blood thinners (xeralto) up until 6 months after as well as seeing a hematologist regularly. I have never had any complications since then and I dont have any underlying blood clotting disorder. Ive also had a breast augmentation last year with no complications. Would I still be considered a candidate for a tummy tuck? Please let me know. Thank you!
I am a 42 year old female who recently lost 100+ pounds through diet and exercise. I I have a history of high blood pressure and diabetes but both have been resolved through weight loss. My fear is that I currently have a-fib as well as sleep apnea. I know that I have to have cardiac clearance but I would like to know is it safe for a AFib patient to have a tummy tuck and what are the risk of developing a blood clot if I do not have a history of blood clots. Over health is currently good.
I am 4 days post-op from TT and flank lipo. Is it ok to lightly massage the lipo/flank area? My entire abdomen itches but more so in the flank area. It is making me crazy! Is there anything I can do? Benadryl, lotion? If a patient had 2 drains, one putting out a lot and the other putting out very little and the putting out a lot was accidently pulled out, would it be more typical to put it back in or go without? If left out would that increase the chance of swelling or a possible blood clot? Thank you!
I am currently 10 days out and these two things are my largest concerns. I have a wonderful PS but I don't want to bother them with my silly paranoia questions. So I'll bother you instead! Lol. Thanks in advance for your answers.
