Following a PDO thread procedure (3+ wks ago) one thread (temple area) is slightly protruding. It appears to be moving anteriorly, as though being pushed out by the skin. RF treatment to accelerate dissolving the thread has been proposed, however I read a paper by Li, Xang, et al (2022) which found that PDO+RF actually amplifies inflammatory response, fat necrosis and nodules (granulomas?). How much of a risk is this? Can a thread keep moving outward? Is RF really recommended? Thanks
I just did my nose threadlift almost a month ago, but it looks kinda thin. Like my nose bridge is so slim. And what happens when the thread starts to dissolve? It can still last for close to a year right?
I got a Hiko nose thread lift in Feb 2020 and the threads haven't fully dissolved. Maybe 50%? I can feel and see it move when I push the tip of my nose up, and I still have a little dimple at the top of my nose when I make a certain face. My 2 friends and I went to the same doctor for the same procedure and theirs are completely dissolved now. I'm baffled. Can't find any answer for this online!
My surgeon added a strong thread & told me it goes to the muscle (platysma muscle I guess) & that it lasts longer than other threads. After the procedure I asked him about the product so I was able to see it & touch it. It's been 3 months & I do feel a discomfort, as if something's stuck on my neck. I'm freaked out but calm. I will soon go to him but I want to be prepared from you so I won't get gaslit or anything. Can such thick thread get dissolved by treatment just like short-lasting one?
Im hoping to find a few recommendations for dissolving some PDO threads I recently had place in my lower jowl area. The aim was to create more of a v shape but somehow it turned out squared/more round shaped than before. Im only in my early 30s and would like to try and remove this look ASAP. Ive heard of fractional laser for removal - is this a good option for faster dissolving - how many treatments are required to dissolve the thread? Is full removal an option for PDOs?
I love the look the fox eye thread lift gives. I was told the results last around 1.5 - 2 years, is this true? Though my main question is what is the skin like once the threads have dissolved? Does it leave skin saggy looking? Once they have dissolved would the eye area look more tired and saggy than before the procedure due to the skin being slightly stretched?
