Hello Doctors, I had a close surgery, bridge augmentation rhinoplasty. 3 weeks post op now. Recovering really well. My doctor advised me that I can have a facial Radio Frequency treatment and that will help with the swelling and firmness of my nasal tip. I tried researching info about this and can't find any. Is this true? RF treatment will quicken the swelling of nasal tip? Okay to have RF around 4 weeks post op? Thank you!!
10 weeks ago I had minimal radio frequency turbinate surgery on my left turbinate: Just 1/2 lesion reduction on one turbinate. But a few times daily for 15 minutes or so, usually after I've cleared my nose, even gently, the nasal passage feels unusually cold. A sensation I've never felt before. I don't feel like there's too much air going through. It just feels cold for brief periods. My ENT stresses that the turbinate definitely is not too small. So what's going on? Still healing?
would the microdebrider cause similar levels of scar tissue formation as radiofrequency reduction or thermal reduction of inferior turbinates, I was thinking since the debride eat's tissue, leaving essentially a vaccum, in the event that the tissue grew back what exactly does the body replace the lost soft tissue with? how would the structure of this newly grown back tissue affect nerve regeneration if at all different from previous pre operative stromal tissue
I have had 4 nasal surgeries, and 3 in office radiofrequency coblation procedures. I ended up having nasal valve collapse, and then had that revised 3 times. For the first time, I have been told that my airway is wide open, but I can't seem to feel like I am getting enough airflow, especially through one side. My current doctor told me that I have 1/3 and 1/2 of my turbinates left (right and left side). Could I have empty nose syndrome? Do I have enough turbinate left? Can this ever resolve?
