Just Counting the Days....

Yesterday I finally booked my surgery. I've been waiting to find the right Dr. It took me 7yrs until I finally decided to schedule it with Dr Hurtado. What convince me was three things. The first one that surgery is done at a hospital and not a clinic. Second the type of anesthesia they use and third that you stay under observation for one day at the hospital. So now I'm just waiting and counting the days.

So I'm officially 47 days away from my procedure. When I booked my surgery I was 165lbs. Dr Hurtado did mention I needed to loose weight in order to get surgery done. So far I've lost 9lbs. My goal is to loose at least 10lbs more.

Two days ago I got my labs done and I was low on iron so I started taking vitamins. I will have another follow a week before surgery... So I believe there was a confusion. When I had my consultation, I was told I needed a brachioplasty not a lipo but when the paperwork was done they marked lipo instead. When I went for my lab they noticed and asked me what I was gonna get done. Since it is a different procedure they told me the price would vary but they would let me know. I never heard back so I called back to check on the status. She told me I couldn't do the procedure since I would be getting the tummy tuck and it had to be done separately which I understand but I've been noticing that there is two different ladies or more answering my questions and sometimes I feel they are not communicating. Don't take me wrong they are really nice but I don't think I should be explaining myself over and over or getting different answers. I do feel he is the right doctor but with all this miscommunication I'm starting to get concern. I left some paperwork I got from my job that need to be fill out by the doctor so I would be picking them up on Monday and making another deposit. During my consultation Dr told me he didn't fill out any paperwork before hand since it is a legal document and he had cases where patients cancel at the last minutes which makes sense but at the same time if i do not give them to HR by Wednesday of next week my request for LOA could get cancel. So this is where i stand right now. :( Once i get the paperwork to HR, pay in full and get my last lab I'm gonna feel this is officiaI !!! :)

Maybe it's a sign from higher power. Explain to them why you need the paperwork signed and tell them you will go somewhere else if you can't get it. I would start looking for another doctor. Good luck

Thank you! I appreciate your comment but they already gave it to me last week. I just hadn't had time to update
