REVISION UPDATE!!

WORTH IT
So if you followed my journey, you will see that eight years ago I had a breast reduction with a lift, and insurance paid for 100% of that. Back in April I had a Tummy Tuck with muscle repair and lipo… My doctor is STELLAR and he did an incredible job! However, several weeks after the procedure I developed a seroma… It took us many many months and a few different kinds of things to get it to finally go away. The different types of drains and ports we used left some deformities in my beautiful scar. So about three weeks ago I had a scar revision…He lowered the scar and fixed a big dent that the port had made. I am healing well, still very swollen, but looking absolutely amazing! So let this be a word of advice to all of you ladies… Hang in there!! Health first, and then worry about aesthetics! If you’ve chosen your surgeon well like I did, then there is nothing that cannot be fixed down the road! I feel like a new woman!

FINAL RESULTS!!
thensingsmysoulDecember 10, 2018
Ok!!!! It’s officially been 8 months of this journey!!! I had a full TT with muscle repair and lipo done 8 months ago. I had long road of dealing with a stubborn recurring seroma that effected my results and just took many months to deal with. I had my revision procedure done about 3 weeks ago and tho still a bit swollen, I am ready for the final before and after shot!! I have one major piece of advice for all of you… Choose your surgeon wisely, and understand that this will be a very long process with many ups and downs! Just relax, trust your surgeon, put your healing first, and remember that anything you do not like can always be fixed! This process has changed my life and my confidence in ways that are hard to describe.

Thank you both so much! I just ordered silicone scar strips to start using, I’ll update in a few months to see how they work!

Looks Amazing. Can I get your surgeons details? Had tummy tuck done 9months ago and I still look 3 months pregnant. It just makes me so sad.

Omotyttytyty I’m sorry to hear that you aren’t happy with your first tummy tuck. I myself was in your shoes a little over two yrs ago . I recently had a complete revision tummy tuck and used a new Dr . So please if you at all don’t trust your first dr don’t use him or her again .

Dr Hargrave at Albany Plastic Surgery group in upstate NY is amazing. He is actually doing another revision for me next month because now that a year has gone by he wants to lower my scar again! The attention to detail and my happiness is amazing. Never once did he say “it’s good enough just be happy”. I look amazing now but I did wish my scar were lower- the seroma issues caused it to raise. But he isn’t satisfied until I am perfect and happy...so don’t settle!!!

I am in Florida, but just might make a visit to see him. My tummy tuck looks horrific!!

Was the revision while you were awake in his office and not in the OR?
March 20, 2019
The revision was an in-office procedure and I was awake! The only thing I felt was the initial needles to numb me up. I even watched and took pictures!! Easy peasy, no drains needed, almost no recovery time. I was up and about the next day just a little sore.

My journey is complete...and it was worth EVERY penny and every single procedure. I have birthed 6 babies and am able to lay here proudly in a bikini. My surgeons are second to NONE!

You look amazing! How did you get insurance to pay for the procedure? What insurance do you use?
June 27, 2019
Insurance did not pay for the tummy tuck...it paid in full for my breast lift and reduction. I paid in full for the tummy tuck and the revisions are included EXCEPT if you have to go back under general anesthesia. I had one in office revision for free but when I went for the second revision I had to pay for the hospital room and anesthesia and it was $2000. I have never been so happy with body and I deem it to be worth every penny.

I see your doctor is Dr Lynch ... did he go all your surgeries? Why did insurance pay for the breast surgeries? Thanks!!
July 13, 2019
Yes my dr was dr Lynch and he was amazing! However, he was in a very very serious car accident at the end of last year and no longer practices. Dr Hargrave is another doctor at the practice and he did my final revision and I couldn’t recommend him more wholeheartedly. He did not stop until I looked perfect. Insurance paid for my breast reduction and lift because for my weight and build my breasts were deemed too large - so much so that they caused back pain and bra straps would dig into my shoulders. So it was seen as medically relevant and they paid for 100% of it!
