60 and Waited 25 Years for This After Three Kids and Weight Loss!

Tomorrow is the day! I get to the flat side! I have missed my flat self for so long, I am soo excited. Mine was a very long journey, after having my third child, not knowing I had major Thyroid issues and had to have it removed. Then knee placements, and exercise 5 days a week, I finally got to where I need to be for this journey starting tomorrow yeaaa! I will take pictures and post later. I interviewed at least 5 surgeons before I came across Dr. Katchenmeister. He is so easy to talk to and cares so much about how you are feeling about all this. So I am very comfortable about what’s going down manana. I will post as much as I can about my recovery as we go.

You look great I am going on 56 and really thinking about doing it I've been wanting to get my stomach flat after my third child it's just like a donut in the middle a puffy donut and it drives me crazy. I just don't know what I'm gonna do I've had a consult with the doctor I know I would do use because he's done another surgery on me.

Time is going by fast and the healing is going well, haven’t been taking as many pain meds as I thought I would, walking is much easier almost standing upright no walker after 4 days. I have been sleeping in a bed propped for the last 4 days which is upstairs so can do the stairs as well. Drains still, may take one Out next appt. Which I hope because they are sore around where they are stitched to me. Not a lot of collection anymore. The place I get the most sore is my lower back, don’t know why that is. Ok well... everything is healing well Tuesday is my next Dr. Appointment so will check back then.

Thank you for updating and sharing your recovery process! It help so much! Can I ask what you suggest is best to wear around the house?

I wear a sundress most of the time also loose shorts and tank top cause it’s hot out. You have to wear the binder 24/7 so this is easy

7 days post op feeling good, a bit swollen and of course sore and tight. Drains are a pain but doable, hope they come out soon.
Dr K is the best, I’ve had a few questions about showering and if I could lose the compression stockings and he always gets back to me right away. Even if they are kinda dumb question haha
