Once I turned 11 my boobs grew and didn't stop. I went from nothing to a D cup in no time. Because of the teasing of certain family members I have always felt a deep shame and embarrassment over my large boobs.
I have always done things to try and diminish them, to no avail. They are the thing people notice first about me.
After I had my daughter and breast fed, they started pointing south. They were never very round and perky, but they definitely went lower to the point where I was embarrassed not only over the size, but also at how low they hang.
I've been wearing a 36 F bra and I want to go down to a D cup. At first I suggested a C cup, but the doctor said he thought that would be too small for me.
I've been wanting this procedure literally my entire life and I'm so grateful, at 40, I can finally afford to have it done.
I have one week until surgery and I'm super excited. The idea of wearing normal clothes and not fretting over how big my boobs look will be a relief beyond measure.

Hi there! I noticed your picture looks like me basically (but I'm 34HH/sometimes 34L!) and we are going to have same surgery date! We're only a week away. Immso excited and nervous.

:) Thanks for the comment. Glad to know to I'm not in it alone! I'm very very excited and trying hard not to be too nervous. It's the getting put to sleep part that scares me, but many, many other people are fine and I'm sure we will be too!

So happy for you! Im 47 and trying to loose weight so I can have it done. My back and shoulders hurt so bad I could cry most days. Best of luck to you!!

Thank you. I was going to get the surgery 10 years ago, but also wanted to wait until lost weight ... well I0 years later I decided I just needed to do it. LOL

kimmyt38, just go ahead and get 'er done! A lot of the studies show it's hard to lose weight with the big boobs and that, after, it's easier because you can exercise and just move more easily in general.

How has it been thus far? I am having mine done on October 7th. Bought some front closing sport bras to wear afterwards and thought it was amazing I could just get them at the store!! I'm figuring I'll be C-D size. Getting nervous about the operation though?? Pain level?? I hope you are doing well.

16 days post and I'm still struggling a bit. I'm not as small as I had hoped, but I've had a lot of swelling and hope they will go down more. The pain is worse than I anticipated, but I've also had a lot of stress and the doctor says that doesn't help.

You are going to be great. I had mine reduced in May and am so happy with the results. My back and shoulders are a million times better (I also was a low hanger).

3 days post op

Two days post op. Surgery took over 3 hours. The staff was friendly and comforting which made it so much less stressful.
The doctor decided to give me lipo on my side boobs under my arms and I think that hurts worse than anything. It's like being stabbed repeatedly, I imagine. I couldn't lift my arms for two days. By the third day I'm able to lift my arms to my shoulder.
I have quite a lot of swelling, again from the lipo, so my compression bra is really tight and uncomfortable. They've given me a bigger one, but half way through the day that one is unbearably tight too.
The tightness in my chest is very uncomfortable. It's not so much pain as it is extreme discomfort.
Went for my 3 day post op checkup today and they changed the bandages and said my breasts look really good and my bruising is minimal, especially for having lipo.
I can't wait for this swelling to go down. No position is comfortable. I feel like these things are going to burst, but the doctor said the incisions look great, better than expected.

Not trying to sound weird but do the doctor's make your breasts perky if they sag down? Im thinking of getting breast reduction surgery too.

I guess if you ask them they will put the nipple wherever you want it.

Yes they do

doesn’t look like they took out much from the pictures. do they feel lighter to you? I have surgery next month and I want to make sure you can tell I’ve had it done

Day 5 post op

I am still so stiff and sore. Every position is uncomfortable. This compression bra is killing me, but not having it on isn't any better. My boobs are so tight I feel like they're going to bust open.
I've had quite a bit of yellow leakage in the last day. Not enough to worry, but enough to be really gross. Everything seems OK. I just didn't expect this level of discomfort. My back is now aching from from all the awkwardness, which makes it so much more uncomfortable.
Again, I think it's the lipo that is causing the majority of issues and it's also the reason I need this compression garment so tight.
Sigh. They look nice and healthy though and that's what's important. It's just going to take a little longer to get comfortable than I anticipated.
I expected to be much better by day 5. I'm supposed to return to the office in 5 days, but now I'm thinking I may not be able to. We'll see.

I'm day 5 too. Still very sore, back/neck/shoulders are killing me from sleeping propped up. You're not alone thinking things would start getting better soon. Hopefully it does asap!

I know what you mean. The liposuction on the side is relentless. Ice packs give some relief. I am on day 12 and this has been my best day. My right side is sorer than my left . My stitches are uncomfortable as well sleeping on my back . But I'm looking at the big picture and telling myself this too shall pass. Rest has been my best friend. Hang in there.

I'm on day 12 now and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! More mobile, less pain.
