Mommy Makeover-47yr old-St Louis-WORTH IT!

Post-op:
Get all of your supplies prior to your surgery. Bottles of water, dry shampoo, smell good lotion, easy to make food, large oversized panties and clothing. Be sure you have your prescriptions filled, you will want to stay on top of the pain. DO NOT let it get so bad you cannot handle it, take your meds as directed.
Have help lined up at home for the first few days. Trust me, you need to let them take care of you. If they help you out of a sitting position, they need to help you by pushing you from behind, do not have anyone lift you from your armpits. It is not comfortable and if you had augmentation done as well, you do not want any type of pulling near your breasts.
Get a recliner! I did not have one the first two days and it was a mistake. They are easier to sleep in than in a bed or a regular sofa. They allow you to put pillows under your knees so you do not stress the incision. Also, while all that is happening you are able to still lay back in a comfortable position. Be sure to stay flexed as long as you can. This helps in keeping your incision to widen which in turn will give you a smaller scar.
Do not lift anything unless you have to. You do not want to, it hurts! The first few days will be a blur. The pain is the worst the first week. Be sure to SLOWLY straighten your walking position. I have read where some ladies at 4 weeks are still not upright. Get out of the chair every single day! As you do this you will gain your strength back and you will gradually be able to stand upright. I was upright by the end of my first week. Oh it still felt crappy but it made my back pain almost non-exsistent and that alone was worth it.
Drink as much water as you can. Do not drink anything carbonated-don't do it! I did and whoa, mistake! Water is your friend! It will help with the swelling.
Yes you will be swollen. I am 5 weeks out and still swollen. If you over do it in the early stages your swelling will be worse. We are all Moms, wives or just someone who is always taking care everyone else. It is imperative you do not over do your activities. Start with walks around the house. Gradually build up your strength to walk around your neighborhood. Do not go to the gym. Ouch! Simply help your body heal by easy walks. Oh and one more thing, do not weigh yourself for a while. All the water, the swelling, the binders, etc, you'll be disappointed. But soon enough you will be able to get on that scale and oh my gosh, you will be happy!
I see no cons on having this procedure done. I am still swollen, still wearing a binder (it feels better), still wearing a sports bra 24/7 but when I look in the mirror, it was and is worth it!
My advice, do exactly what your PS tells you to do. Ask a lot of questions. Call the PS if you have even a small issue after you get home, that is what they are there for and prefer for you to call. Drink water and drink a lot of it. Do not be sedentary. Get up and get moving. You want this to be the best thing you've ever done for yourself and you are the only one who can make that so!

My reveiw will be on breast lift, augmentaion...

My reveiw will be on breast lift, augmentaion revision and correction of capsular constructure and a full tummy tuck. I had a revision due to both implants being ruptured, they were about 10 years old. Tummy tuck was from my skin being stretched from twin pregnancy.
Dr Prada and his team are amazing.

I visited with 7 other surgeons prior to visiting with Dr Prada. From the moment I arrived, his staff was discreet, professional and very friendly. Dr Prada entered the room and he held the same qualities as his staff. I had many questions, as one should for such a huge prodcedure. He never showed any frustration and answered all questions. He did not make myself or my husband feel uncomfortable as he was looking at me trying to see what I needed done. He is a skilled surgeon, amazing bedside manners, knowledable and supportive. I had a full tummy tuck-lots of stretched skin, a vertical c-section scar and large amount of stretch marks. I now have a beautiful belly button! I have some stretch marks, however not bad. It was impossible to get rid of all of them because I had stretch marks above my belly button from a twin pregnancy. My breasts had to be redone because of my age, they had ruptured and were drooping (from my age). He did a lift, cleaned up ruptures, and inserted new implants. I have amazing breasts now! They look like they belong on a 25 year old! They are not round and look fake, they look real and feel amazing as well. He redid my nipples and even they look amazing! Also, his staff, they are the best. He has an assistant, Di, he is lucky to have someone like her on his staff. She does not make you feel awkard, she is available all of the time for questions and will fit you in if you feel you need to stop by for a quick question or check up. I have never had to wait more than 5-7 minutes for my appointments. Very prompt. Overall, if I ever need more work, I will not go any where else.
