WORTH IT$4,500
I had to post bc if I had let all the negative posts on recovery/pain I read on here influence me, I would have cancelled.

However, I had previously had an Upper Eyelid Lift and Breast Reduction in which the recovery was so no big deal, so I was hoping my Lipo recovery would be the same.

I want to share, so others may not get scared away.

Background on me:
I'm 46.
125 lbs.
Crazy workouts and yoga 6x week.
Healthy diet
By most people's standards I'm thin, in shape and crazy for considering Lipo.
But I had a layer of fat around my abs/muffin top that there was nothing I could do to get rid of. So I had Lipo on my Upper Lower Abs/Flanks (Muffin Top).

I'm 5 days Post Op
Day 1 (day of surgery) after surgery I took the Oxy I was prescribed. Sore, slow moving, some discomfort but pain? NO!!
Day 2, I'm not a fan of heavy drugs so I switched to Tylenol 3 (with Codeine). Again, sore, Slow moving, NO pain!!
Day 3, I was tired of being tired (from the drugs) so I stopped taking them. Completely. Felt great. Sore, yes. Slow moving yes, some small discomfort, yes. Pain NO!!! And no tiredness bc not drugged up.

Starting from right after surgery, was walking straight up. Just slower.

Day 1 Post Op, had Dr Appt to follow up. After that ran an errand (not driving). Was tired when I got home from a short errand, but still did it.

Day 2 Post Op, ran some errands again.

Day 3 Post Op, went to a BBQ

Day 4 Post Op, went grocery shopping (had help putting bags in car), and took a 45 min walk with my dog. Went out to dinner. Driving.

Day 5 Post Op, back to work. Out all day 830-4. Feel fine. Sometimes I even forget I am 5 days Post Op.

I had 2000 ccs (2 Liters) Size of a big Coke Bottle removed,
If you saw me prior, you wouldn't have thought I had that much much excess, but boy am I glad she was aggressive.
My Surgeon is a personal friend of mine, so I trust her judgement 100%. I told her to go all out, and she did.
And even with that, my recovery was no big deal.

She did Ultrasonic, which I have read on here sometimes gets a bad rap. But my Surgeon/Friend said for more stubborn areas like Abs, the fat is hard to remove, and she highly recommended Ultrasonic for better results.

Results:
I had to leave Compression Garment on for 3 days without removing at all so I did sponge baths/ hair wash in shower with hand held.

Day 4, I took off garment and could take a real shower. That was first time I saw.
I love what I'm seeing.

Yes, swollen and bruised, but flat. And once the swelling goes down in a month or 2, I can tell I will be very happy.

I have to wear garment for a week, but to me its like Spanx. I wore Spanx alot, so no big deal to wear garment. In fact, I think I may like it more then my Spanx and may even continue to wear it if I need to down the road, in lieu of my Spanx.

Maybe my pain tolerance is very high? I don't know if I am normal or not.
But I just wanted to share so ppl considering know it is POSSIBLE to have the procedure and recovery may not be a big deal.

Thank you for your honesty and being so in depth with your description of what you went through. Im having tumescent lipo on my abs in about 3weeks have you returned to your crazy workouts and yoga yet? Or tried? And if you have any photos I would love to see them!

My Surgeon said I can start yoga this Sunday (which would be like 10 days Post Op). She said do yoga for one week, and then after that return to my Bootcamp Workouts (which would be like 17 days Post Op). I have to get the Photos from my Dr, I have an appt next week, so I can get them then. But I can tell you, so far I am very happy with my progress, and its only been one week. I am much flatter, not much I can pinch anymore. Whole area is swollen and hardened, but once that goes down in about 4-6 weeks I will be left with what looks to be flat abs.

hi TTSD. So I had the tummy tuck and breast augmentation in Oct 2013 from Dr. Diana Breister-Ghosh. I LOVE her. She's the nicest doctor and so personable. I do have to go back for "touch up" on my tummy tuck. I still have a slight bulge and she recommened Lipo in the abdomen area. It's almost been a year since your Lipo and I was wondering if you're still happy and would you do anything different? I appreciate your feedback.
