I've wanted a reduction for quite some time. I've always been really scared though. Mainly of the scarring and how they would turn out. But in the past few months I've been considering it more and more due to horrible back pain. My back has always hurt but lately it's been basically unbearable. I get baseball size lumps in my back every now and then and the base of my neck has a big painful lump. I went to my consultation with Dr. Steven Montate on March 4th. He said I was a great candidate at 5'2, 217 lbs and wearing a 42 G! They sent all my things to my insurance company and I got my approval today! Less than two weeks later. According to my letter they sent me, it was approved on March 13th, just 9 days later. I haven't set my surgery date yet cause I have to talk to my job first as I'll be getting short term disability. But I should be getting the reduction in a few weeks! Im very nervous but pretty excited. I'm ready to have relatively "normal" sized boobs. And be basically pain free.

I'm seeing the same doctor! I am 5'4", 209 pounds and a 42 H! My surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday March 31st.......I can't hardly wait! Dr. Montante had said I'll most likley be a D/DD... keep thinking I'd like to be a "C" cup when it's all said and done, then I start thinking that would be too small! I work with kindergarteners and of course all of them are coming down sick this week, all I can say is they better not give it to me! Good Luck, I pray you get the results you want! !

Wow that's awesome we're seeing the same doctor! I was really hoping I'd find people using him. I like him so far. So does my mom. And looking at reviews/photos he looks like he consistently does great work. I'm scheduling my surgery tomorrow. Super nervous but very ready. I hope your surgery goes wonderful as well as recovery! Please let me know :) Dr. Montante said I'd most likely be a D as well with a possible nipple graft due to my size. I keep thinking a D will be huge too then I remember that's like 4 cup sizes smaller! So I will feel so tiny even though I'll be big compared to other standards.

SO glad I'm not the only one thinking that way about size!! Dr. M told I'm on the"line" for a FNG...I laughed and told him that was the first time my boobs might be too small! HA!! I'll keep you posted!! Let me know when yours is scheduled for.

Thank you that'd be awesome! It's very overwhelming actually having a date set. I feel like crying. I'm so scared! But I'm happy I'll have someone who is using the same surgeon and will be able to tell me about recovery. I really appreciate it!

Hope everything went well. This is the rough week but it will get better. Walk when you can around the house. Hope your drains are out. Once the tape comes off, I recommend vitamin E oil for the incisions. My surgeon was really impressed with the healing of mine and I used a basic oil found at my drug store. When even a piece of tape came off, I started applying it gently and adding pressure. The pressure, over time, helps flatten the scar. Be well!

Congratulations. I have been waiting & calling my insurance for almost 2 yrs, and ever time I would call it was a different situation with them. So I called again last wk, for the last time, and practically told them to F OFf. I took out a loan to pay for my breast reduction. The pain is so bad I had to go to the emergency room twice this past month. So now I'm just running errands to get this over with before my vacations end. Hopefully praying to God I'll have my surgery in August. Let you know.

So I worked up the courage to call and schedule my surgery. It's set for April 28th! It's all happened so fast. Less than a two month span! I'm pretty nervous especially after seeing things about necrosis of the nipple and me possibly having to get a nipple graft. It's a lot to take in. But I do believe everything will come out okay and I will be over all happier with my choice! Lord I hope so.

My pre op testing is all scheduled for the 13th at a hospital. I see my surgeon th same day. I hope everything is okay with my blood!! I feel fine but that doesn't really mean anything. I'm sure my blood is okay enough to move forward with the surgery though
