My Self Esteem is at an All Time High !
WORTH IT
I underwent a septo/rhinoplasty and buccal fat removal surgery with Dr. Alan Gonzalez . I did my surgery on 3/26/2025 in his Cali, Colombia location.From the moment they took off the cast from my nose I was in love.
I did have lots of swelling in my chin/ jaw area from the buccal fat removal so I needed a little more time with this. Once my swelling started going down in my cheeks /face I could tell the huge difference. It looked so much slimmer/ defined. I’ll see my final rhinoplasty results in a year and my buccal fat final results in 6 months. You must TRUST THE PROCESS!!! ( and also follow all pre / post op instructions)
Honestly I was mostly scared going into surgery for my nose because I didn’t want to look worse or feared my new nose not fitting my face. I did a lot of research and looked at a lot of before/ after photos so I got over my fears. I decided to put my faith in Dr. Alan’s hands. I thank god that I crossed paths with him because I can’t imagine any other surgeon touching my face. He is a truly a skilled surgeon. The results speak for themselves.
I am 1 month and a week post-op now. I’ve never felt so happy before in my 28 years of living. I am truly grateful for you doctor! Thank you for helping me achieve my esthetic goals. I will be back to post more pictures in 6months , and after a year for final results !

Update: not what I expected hoping for the best
I am 7 months post op as of 10/26/25 and I’m slightly disappointed. The doctor has mentioned that I am experiencing scar retraction ( right side of my nostril ) and cartilage retraction ( on the left side button of my nose ) . He mentioned that this is something that can happen during recovery. Basically he mentioned this is normal. It makes me very sad this has happened when I have followed all of the post -op instructions.
The doctor discussed possible treatments to bring down the scar tissue that formed on the right side of my nostril and the cartilage on the button of my nose. He mentioned that we could do “ enzyme injections.” I am still waiting on his staff to assist in coordinating when I can see him in person. Hopefully this will be sometime soon. They take forever to answer sometimes. I’ve brought this up with the doctor a few months ago and well there was some improvement but it has become a consistent trend. They will see my message, respond
, and then I ask my question and then it takes up to 1-2 weeks to respond. Mind you I’m the one who follows up with them. They never get back to me own their own accord.
I’m hoping this will help my nose because this surgery was an huge investment for my happiness/ self image.
