I had a rhino with him in 2002. Against my wishes he also talked me into implanting batents to widen my nasal passages. Right before the surgery I asked him not to do it; as I was afraid. I begged him just to do the rhino. He told me he promised these would not get infected and there was nothing to worry about. He proceeded. They both got infected. My nose bubbled around the outside, and my skin still looks odd on the outer parts of my external nostrils. One of my nostrils shut due to the infection bubbling into my nasal passage. I had to go back 3 to 4 times. First he removed the first batent. Then he removed the second one. By then the infection made my nose shrink where it was too short and pointing up like a piggy nose. So I went back and we did another surgery. Here he took cartilage out from behind my ear and fashioned it around my nostrils to bring the tip of my nose back down. One nostril is still significantly smaller than the other. And my nose is still too short. But I decided to live with it until this year when I was on zoom 24 seven and my nose look completely mangled on zoom.
So I called his office to schedule an appt to come back in, and his scheduler wouldn’t even schedule an appointment with me. She told me “I am not giving you an appointment”. I think it’s because I told her I came in 2002 and he did my rhino and I was having a problem with it? She must think I want them to fix it now and it’s been too long. I just wanted to go in because he knew the history of my nose and see what could be done now. I can’t change the past and it’s too late to sue him even if I was going to. But she literally refused to even set an appointment with me! Then she told me she wasn’t setting an appointment with me because of my attitude. I was stunned I said “you’re the one with the attitude, I just called in for an appointment”. Now I have to contact the NY medical board or try to message him on LinkedIn to get him to advise me on what to do to fix this. Either that or pay some other doctor thousands of dollars to try to fix his work, not knowing the history.
Here’s my point: these doctors have your face in their hands. If something goes wrong the least you want is them to work with you to make it right. If you’re willing to roll the dice, he’s your guy. If you want someone who will help you no matter how much time it’s been, look elsewhere. If you don’t want the New York attitude staff, definitely look elsewhere.

Honestly, why would you even contemplate retuning to the surgeon who failed you over and over? Time to move on to a more competent rhino revision specialist!

Money. If he doesn't fix his work I have to pay someone else to do it all over. Also he knows what's been done.

Sorry-did not mean to sound harsh or assume-just hoping that best result for you.

Gosh! Was this done by Dr. Romo? I humbly suggest not going back not having a surgeon work on you again after you are unhappy with a result.

It is a blessing in disguise that they refused you. He would only have botched you again. Do whatever it takes to pay for a competent surgeon to fix this. You gave this guy plenty of chances. Clearly he can't, so it's good he isn't touching your face again.
