Botched nose - I'll let the pictures speak for themselves

Hi there! I am so sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. Rhinoplasty and the recovery following the procedure can be tricky. I have had 6 rhinoplasties. Yup, 6!! Long story short, I went to the wrong ENT for a shattered bridge and after 2 surgeries with him my nose completely collapsed. I then went to Dr Ward and after our consultation he cautiously told me that he would be willing to try and fix it but that it would be a difficult procedure and that he will do the best he can and stand behind his work. Guess what?! He did just that but it was a long journey. With patience and 3 following minor revisions I am super happy with my result AND I can breathe!! Here are the keys that I have personally learned to get the best result... at home recovery and care. Here is what I do... ( FYI I am not a dr and am not giving medical advice, I am just sharing my experience) I learned that if I tape my nose every night, when I was cleared to so after surgery, it really helps prevent swelling. (I still do 1.5 years later!) Every morning I use a jade roller or a scraper to gently massage any swelling down the sides of my nose, then across my cheeks and to the base of my ear. I am also religious in going into Dr Ward's clinic for steroid injections and I have also sporadically taken short term oral steroids when I notice my nose begin retain too much inflammation. It seems like a lot, but it does make a huge difference to prevent scar tissue build up and swelling since I do not heal very well and my body loooves to form scars. This has been an 8 year journey for me all because of a shattered nose from an accidental head butt. Ha! That's another story for a different day. I feel like Dr Ward, or any plastic surgeon for that matter, can't predict or prevent how a specific patient will heal and they do the best that they can. Dr Ward changed my life for the better and actually saved it. Look for my review that I will be posting. It is a crazy cool story.

Who can afford 6 nose surgeries? I could afford one and unfortunately Dr Ward botched my nose terribly. I can’t not afford revision and my nose is awful.
