He starts off very nice until you have a problem, then he tells you that you need therapy and you’re being dramatic. I came to him after having a rhinoplasty I wasn’t supposed to have when I went in for a septoplasty with another doctor. So I reiterated how important it was for me to get as close as possible to my old nose since it was structurally still the same nose just with lots of grafting which made it significantly wider. I showed him pictures, he even stated how he taped them up during surgery so he had something to look off of. I have to have a total rebuild unfortunately. My dorsum was taken too low, when he placed a septal extension graft (later to find out from other doctors it was not needed), since it is attached to one side of the nose, it caused visible deviation. The graft is causing a significant amount of pain, I have a constant tension feeling in my nose tip and upper lip, it clicks very often at different facial expressions and also causes my nose tip to point downward when I smile. When I’m chewing or yawning my tip curves downward like a C shape and looks incredibly unnatural. My tip cartilages were over reduced unfortunately and sutured too tightly on one side causing pinching and I physically have to pull my nostril open to be able to breathe out of that side. Where the septal extension graft is thick and pushed my native cartilages wider and where the overly sutured tip cartilage sits inside my nose, there’s constant rubbing where I have a constant raw spot inside my nose. It’s very ironic that he stated thankfully my prior surgeon was conservative with my surgery and that my bridge wasn’t over reduced because my bridge is now over reduced and has to be built back up. I have open roof deformity unfortunately and the cartilage portion of my nose directly below the bone is sinking in lower as the years go on and breathing is pretty much non existent. My tip cartilages are very very visible, I can see the whole outline of my whole nose tip which looks like a huge shelf, there is no blend from bridge to tip. There’s a giant divot in between my tip cartilages where I can place a dime on my nose tip and walk around and it won’t move out of the hole. Oh yeah and my bones are off axis now, they literally go sideways. I literally look very worked on now and I’m petrified to choose a surgeon to fix it because it’s going to be a very complex case and I’m scared it’s going to get screwed up even worse. I wish everyday that I never chose him as a surgeon. He seemed so promising at first and so nice, and the moment I brought up any problems I got gaslight and told to seek therapy only to find out from revision surgeons all over the US and France that I indeed had a very bad surgery and have a plethora of problems that need to be fixed.
