Excited about my new neck and profile!

So very happy to write this review after a year and a half post neck lift. I’m just going to say that I had the best doctor ever! He confirmed that it would keep getting better after a year and he was right. I had my doubts with the entire process, wasn’t too thrilled at first and generally a little concerned with how it was healing. But looking back I’m so very glad I made that decision. I would like to encourage someone who is considering this procedure or have had it done to first of all, do not panic and start comparing your healing with that of others. Each neck looks different and heals uniquely in its own way. Is mine perfect? Not by any means but I’m ok with a natural look. The skin that Hashimotos left me with was not pretty so I made a personal decision to feel better about myself.

I’m right at 9 weeks post op now and my neck is still numb in some areas below the chin. Scars healed very well. Neck still tight, but I’m back at the yoga studio and doing everything that I had been doing previously. It keeps me grounded and disciplined. I am glad to say that I had this procedure. Not taboo for me. If anyone asks I will gladly tell them. So far no one has noticed a change. I have kept the weight down, no more goiter from Hashimotos disease. Thyroid levels are normal now. I feel 50’s are fabulous!

Here are the requested photos prior to and after neck lift with liposuction. Previous photos were not in order so trying another go at it. Around 11 weeks post op, still have numbness to jawline. Feeling coming back to areas behind both ears. Getting some good zaps of nerve pain, tolerable. Still slightly numb to both cheeks. Taking Vital Proteins, light massage daily with vitamin E, eating frozen pineapples. Also went back to the yoga studio today, woo hoo! I feel pretty good about this decision!
