Underwhelming Results, Dismissed and Gaslighted

I booked a Mommy Makeover expecting an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair, mons lift, breast lift, and lipo 360. I’ve had four c-sections and a 40 pound weight loss. I specifically asked for the extended TT to address my sides and the lipo 360 for my back. Dr. Raj said he included lipo with his TT.

Surgery went well, but I quickly determined that the extended tummy tuck was not done and excessive fat was still sitting along the incision. I also felt my back and bra line didn’t get the lipo I expected.

When I questioned the lipo, the medical assistant and Dr. Raj assured me the lipo was done. I questioned why the extended TT wasn’t done, and he said he didn’t think I needed it.

I mentioned my back roll at multiple check ups and they were still adamant that lipo had been done.

Four months post-op, I had a revision to address the tummy incision in office with minimal lipo to my stomach, but none to my back. He extended the tummy incision, but it literally did nothing except give me scars and a dent. It didn’t contour my sides or love handles at all.

Nine months later, I still have a fat fold/dog ear on my left hip, no waist or back contouring, and left behind fat.

I made an appointment to address the issues. He put me on the scale, said my results are satisfactory, and then was dismissive about my problem areas because, to him, it wouldn’t be worth revision, BUT he could do procedures x or y to address the area if I pay for them, citing the upper abdomen, flanks, and back *aren’t* addressed with a *TUMMY TUCK* that was supposed to *extend* through my sides and *include* back lipo. Is that not the whole purpose of a Mommy Makeover? What else could I have asked for?

I asked for my photos and operative notes where it was determined that I in fact did not get lipo to my back, nor did I get a true extended tummy tuck. Notes stated that only 500cc of fat was removed during surgery! My silhouette is almost exactly the same. Lumpy and unflattering.

My results were posted to his Insta stating patient had lipo 360. His website says lipo 360 includes the entire back. I shared this info with Dr. Raj, but he did not address why the lipo 360 was not done or why such a tiny amount of fat was removed. He has not admitted the oversight nor offered to schedule the procedure at this time. Nor has he ever offered any type of skin tightening treatment.

Also to note, my breast incisions have old areola tissue on either side. A revision to remove it was never offered. At my original consult in May I asked about fat transfer to the breast. I have a shallow top breast type and like my size, but I want more volume at the top so bras don’t gap. He said he felt like a lift would give me the fullness I wanted, but we could revisit the idea after surgery. In June he posted on Instagram about fat transfer to the breast. Surgery was in July. After my breast swelling went away and my boobs were their same old shape, August or so, I asked about fat transfer again. He said he didn’t do it anymore. I don’t want implants so we are at a stalemate.

Overall, it’s been an unsatisfactory experience. I feel like he doesn’t listen and tries to manipulate the truth. I’ve been lied to saying something has been done when it clearly wasn’t and then expected to pay another $8200 to correct it. I’ve gotten a “good enough” response from him, but this is my body, and I feel like I did not get any type of body contouring. As things stand, I cannot recommend Dr. Raja Mohan as a surgeon.
